The yurt (tent) was amazing. Batteries were provided for charging of phones + plugging in a fan. The bed was super comfortable and the layout of the tent made our rainy day a blast with enough room to still have fun. The firepit is a welcome addition to the site and the hammock is AMAZING. We spent as much time on the hammocks as possible. Overall, the trip was great and the farm tour and activities were a nice break from normal camping stuff.

We stayed here this past weekend ⛺️ and I have to say that one of the main reasons we chose this camp site was because of peoples reviews and also the Yurts 🛖 the yurts really got our attention! We got there friday and we met Sam. ( Sam is the BEST 🙌) while we were talking last details, Sam mentioned to us that next day ( Saturday) they were having a Harvest Festival! So we were going to be in between cars and people going in and out all day so we asked Sam if by any chance there was another spot available? No Yurts were available for that weekend, but then he offered us to stay in the apartments they have on the lower level of the learning center! And let me tell you what a BIG game changer 🙌 having a private bathroom and shower is a BIG + specially for women and kids 👌 we had a group of 11 people, so those apartments were more than perfect for having the family under one roof 👏. We really love and enjoyed our stay in this campground 🙌 everyone there was so nice and welcoming 👏 kids love the pizza, the back woods and the creek👌 we had the BEST weather ever 🙌 sunny mornings, chilly and quiet nights😮💨🔥 I will definitely have to go back to stay in a Yurt, or in my tent in the woods✅ and again THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING SAM 👏.

We absolutely loved our time at the Hungry World Farm. Not only is Sam accommodating and kind, the Farm is a great cause that we will not hesitate to recommend to those we know looking for either a quick getaway or a breath from daily life. We had the *best* glamping tent and even got to spend time with a cute farm kitty that wandered into our site. The farm tour was informative, and the vegetables we had the pleasure of getting were delicious!

Weekend Trip to Yurt Glamping Tents + Farm Animals
My friend and I loved camping on Sam’s land. We had a beautiful view, the tent was nicely decorated, and there was a huge hammock attached to a few trees by slack lines. Having access to a fridge was very beneficial as well, because we had weather reaching the 90s. We definitely recommend pizza Saturdays. Thank you for the wonderful weekend.

What a lovely place! A wonderful, comfortable glamping tent in a great location with a wonderful tour of the farm. I was happy to support a regenerative farm by staying, and we had a great night’s sleep. Sam and his family were kind and so hospitable. We had a great time.

My friends & I were looking for a yurt/tipi to stay in not too far from Chicago when we stumbled upon this hidden gem! We weren’t sure what to expect but, wow, what a sweet getaway. We were welcomed right away by Sam & had such a wonderful time exploring the land and making yummy food at our campsite. We got a tour (with others staying that weekend) & it was so amazing (do not skip!) If you love animals, flowers, and want to deepen your knowledge of regenerative farming, this is the place for you.🐑🐓🐐🍇🌸

Awesome experience! I previously tent camped at Glamp Chicago (great experience) and this time the yurt was available. It was PERFECT. The decor is cute, the extra accommodations provided are thoughtful and add to the allure of staying in a yurt. Recommend and will definitely be back!!!

The forest view glamping tent and site were lovely. The tent was spacious, comfortable, and clean and it was so helpful to have a small fridge and fans for sleeping. The campsite was also large and private - we could hear nearby groups but not see them, and we made good use of the fire pit and picnic table. The farm learning center/restroom were a short walk away and we enjoyed frequent visits from one of the friendly farm cats!

We loved our glamping stay at Hungry World Farm in the Forest Glamping Queen Bed spot. True to its name, the tent was nestled in the woods, far enough away from the other sites to feel totally private, but close enough to the bathroom and learning center building amenities to be convenient. The tour of the working farm and gardens was really impressive, and the nearby perennial garden was exploding with color, bees, and butterflies. This is a special property. Thank you!

Our family of 4 had a great stay at the Raspberry Yurt. We particularly loved the respite the Learning Center provided us on a hot day. It was great for kids with a play kitchen, large connect 4, puzzles, markers and paper, white board, chalk for the sidewalks, and different learning boards. The fridge and water jug was a nice, unexpected amenity. Everyone was so accommodating and kind, and we loved shopping at the farm store after a tour. Our kids even played with the livestock manager’s kids (who were the sweetest kids and helped our 4 year old daughter hold a crayfish).

With kids
We had such a fun time! We stayed on a very warm weekend, but the staff was very accommodating. They put up a sprinkler for the kids, which was a great way to forget about the heat. Our kids loved the farm and were so excited to milk a goat. There was a battery in our tent and cabin with a fan. Any questions I had were answered quickly. We look forward to going back!

Very great and joyful moments for all ages in my family. Sam, exacutive director of the farm glamping stay, is always responsive and helpful. All in my group loved farm tour (asked me to stay another days and nights) and glamping stay, too. I definitely recommend this place, and will stay again for good memories.

Glamping in the forest view tent was wonderful. You are surrounded by the forest and secluded from the farm, but also only a couple minute walk from the bathroom / learning center. The farm tour was a great experience, and I loved all the animals! The hiking trails were also nice! You're also about 30 minutes away from Matthiessen and Starved Rock!
