Enjoy 16 acres of trees with a pond and a variety of wildlife. Wander the property and you can expect to see deer, elk, an occasional moose, dozens of turkey, quail, grouse, snowshoe hare, and a trio of domestic chickens who have made Little Hawk Landing their favorite hangout. The 300 sq ft cabin is fully stocked and can be set up with a king bed or two twins - please specify your choice at registration or send me a quick message - and there is also a pullout twin sleeper sofa bed. We provide free Wi-Fi and there is a TV with a DVD/Blue-ray player and a wide assortment of movies. All firewood for the woodburning stove is provided. Great little spot - cozy and just what we needed for an overnight near WSU. The owners had everything warmed up for us when we got there, it was so nice to come into a cozy space during the cold month of October. If you’re even thinking about booking the treehouse, do it.
The bed was insanely comfortable (like, slept-better-than-I-do-at-home comfortable). Woke up to the soft morning light and trees swaying outside the window like a real-life screensaver. The cedar soaking tub? Unreal. Perfect for stargazing, unwinding, or just pretending you're in a fancy spa tucked in the woods.
Every little detail felt intentional, cozy, and peaceful. A total reset. Highly recommend if you’re craving quiet, nature, or just a place that feels like a deep breath.
I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. You should too.

The campsite was very nice and the view of the lake was amazing. It was enjoyable to wake up to the sound of the birds singing and the insects making their noises. The campground is also next to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes which is a very nice trail to ride the bike on. It's also down the road from the town of Harrison which is nice for eating and beers. The campground was clean and well kept and the toilet was also.
I enjoyed my stay here and do recommend if you are in the area.

A beautiful property...it was the perfect location for us to try our first 'boondocking' weekend. Very quiet and serene, completely off-grid. Corlene and her husband were gracious hosts. The only thing I would say is, ask Corlene or her husband where the best place is to pull in...suggested areas weren't marked and we were worried about swampy areas. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

Rachel was really kind and very responsive to my messages to help me figure out which site would be best for our group! The porta potty on site was the cleanest one I have EVER seen, and the land was so beautiful. The sites were a bit closer together than I thought they would be, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that we couldn’t hear anyone else at all from ours. Honestly it was the perfect set up- private camp ground, picnic table, fire pit, bathroom, beautiful view of the lake, short 15 minute walk into Harrison for ice cream and swimming. The only bummer was that on the first morning of our stay we were woken up at dawn by loud sounds of the property next door doing excavating/logging work, which continued for the better part of the day. We recognize that this was totally out of Rachel’s control so no fault to her, but just something to keep in mind as I’m not sure how often that happens. It didn’t happen the second morning which was nice, however there is a rooster somewhere very nearby who is definitely an over achiever at his job.. he crowed with all his might both days haha. To some extent it was nice as it added to the out of the city feel, but after several hours of him crowing while trying to enjoy the quiet we did wish he would have settled down for the day haha.

I actually stayed in campsite 2 - generously offered by the host as I was the only camper booked for the 2 nights I was there.
Excellent location for a biking adventure on the Trail of the CDA.
I had good cell reception at the site - better than anywhere else in the area.
All the eateries were closed Mon & Tues as it’s still very early in the season-glad I had some dehydrated meals in my stash.
I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in such a place

Little Hawk Landing is a great camping spot. It is perfectly situated, so that hiking, biking and kayaking are all within 20-30 minutes. The town of Deary is 5-10 minutes away. The site is on a dirt road off hwy 9 and there is a minimal amount of traffic as neighbors go by, but it was definitely quiet and private. The site was clean, level and easy to get into and out of. Chris was extremely responsive any time I had a question. She did stop by to check on us, but left us to ourselves. We had no doubt she'd have been right there had we had a problem, but everything was in perfect order. She even left us a stack of firewood and a firepit to burn it in! I highly recommend Little Hawk Landing.
