Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you.
At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep.
The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts.
You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness.
There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire.
You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course).
There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run.
Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers.

Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River.
Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you.
At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep.
The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts.
You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness.
There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire.
You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course).
There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run.
Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers.

We absolutely loved camping at Renee's. She is a generous, kind soul. Our van pulled into large clean green grass field, with an equally clean outhouse. It was fenced between her beautiful garden and a sweet horse. Renee is a clear communicator, lives on site and provided a safe place for the night. I would recommend this spot especially to solo females.

I had the camp area to myself, and the Porta potty was the cleanest smelling, and cleanest overall, I ever experienced. It was very quiet albeit started out warm for my one night stay. It cooled down in the hours before dawn and I corrected a few things to make the next evening, in Boise, a bit more comfortable.

Lisa’s property was well maintained and had a number of nice amenities like Cornhole, Horseshoes, firepit with plenty of wood available and water/electricity.
We stayed at the lower unit which had a nice grassy area that would be great for families.
Lisa and her husband were very friendly and accommodating.
The only negatives were during the week there is a major reclamation project from the old mine just up the road so there were many trucks starting at 7AM - 5PM that drove by all day.
I also thought that the creek was going to be viewable, but it is across the road and set lower so you can only hear it from the campsite.

The location is rather intriguing. The campground is a mining ghost town. All the sites are a long the only road in and out of the narrow canyon. It's super quiet. Lisa is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
