The yurt is heated and cooled with a mini split system. We do not provide firewood for the wood stove or firepit. Firewood can be purchased locally in Crouch or Garden Valley. There is interior lighting but no exterior lighting, so bring headlamps or flashlights for nighttime use.
Cooking amenities include a two burner propane stove with cast iron griddle, a private deck with propane grill, and a fully stocked cooking setup including dishes, utensils, spices and olive oil.
The yurt is accessed by a short walk from the parking area and terrain may be uneven, muddy, snowy or icy depending on weather. In winter, AWD or 4WD with winter tires or chains is required.
We live on the property but respect your privacy completely. You will not see us unless you request assistance.

Our property is nestled bellow the mountains in the upper country of Idaho close to the small quaint farm towns of Midvale and Cambridge where the nearest stoplight is 30 miles away. Whether you are looking to escape hussell and bussell or have a base camp for your next adventure, you've come to the right place! The campsite is perched up near the large pond about 1000 feet off the main road (which you may see 5 cars a day on or the occasional horseback rider). And not to worry, there is a decent driveway that will bring you within 100 feet of the campsite, a pickup or 4 wheel drive is not required. ! The pond is an oasis for passing ducks and geese and other wildlife. Once you've established yourself enjoy a nice walk around the pond, cast a line off the pedal boat (catch and release), or enjoy a picnic on the island with the ducks and geese. Peace and quiet is all to be had here (other than the occasional bull frog croaking.) But if adventure is what you seek, adventure you will have! Known as the gateway to Hells Canyon, there are many things to do within 5 minutes to 1 hours drive. Drop into Midvale to hit the Weiser River Trail via hiking, horseback, or mountain bike (electric bikes too). Embark on an off road adventure with your UTV/ATV, or motorcycle up the nearby mountains to Sturgill Peak Lookout where you can see 100 miles in every direction. Schedule and excursion in Hells Canyon (deeper than the grand canyon) or take a dip at the local Mundo hot spring. Fishing and floating can be had at the near by Weiser river or boating at Crane Creek Reservoir. Or maybe you're looking for a base camp for hunting season. Again, the recreational possibilities are endless! Bring your supplies and stay at camp or take a short bike ride/drive into town for some food at the Coffee Cabin or a drink at the local tavern. Maybe you forgot something? the Midvale Market has you covered, and they have adult beverages too, open 7 days a week. Midvale also has a nice little park and a local swimming pool.
Site guidelines
Respect the locals and they will return the favor. We have a great small town community that looks out for one another. You can ride recreational vehicles on most of the local roads if you choose to bring them, just be respectful of the local laws and courteous to the neighbors who live on dirt roads by keeping the dust down when you pass by. No riding off trails/roads, especially on our property! Please bring life jackets or appropriate floatation devices for children who plan to play or swim in the pond. Explore the property and feel free to pick up wood and branches from the ground for the fire pit, but please do not remove or cut down any trees, and keep fires contained in the fire pit and do not burn when it's windy. Bedding is NOT provided at this time. There is a sheet Please bring sleeping bags or desired bedding for the covered queen bed. We also just built a brand new outhouse! We are slowly adding more amenities and plan to build an outdoor shower next.
There is an extra tent under the bed for the kiddos or other guests, also a pop up shad for the warm afternoons, it covers the deck nicely.

Hello. My name is Tamara and my husband is Andy. We bought this place in 2022 with the goal of raising animals humanely and providing good food options to purchase at reasonable prices. After moving to Ontario I noticed there are not many good options for nighttime sleep. I fondly remember camping with our kids in a location we named Neverland. We decided we wanted to create that for people. That’s why we joined Hipcamp. We have several sites that range from close to the house and bathroom access to remote in a field with the sounds of the creek to lull you to sleep. To increase safety and aid in positive memory making, only one group is allowed at a time. We have lots of space so whether you are a lone traveler, a family, or a group of friends looking to make memories consider staying with us and our animals. We generally have goats, chickens, and pigs. From July to October we have pheasants. Oh, and we have Cheese, our patrol duck, who wanders and keeps an eye on everything. He loves treats. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch.
Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. There is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present.
A small, creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Water is clearer during the winter and spring months. The spots I have cleared in this area are small. I recommend tent camping in this area. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field; they are shy. We have goat treats available for sale if you would like to feed them.
Oregon has an invasive, poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant. If you wander along the creek, you will encounter it.

In the early 1900's three sheep ranchers--August Broderson, James Fisher, and Isaac Leighton--each purchased residential lots in Weiser and built brick homes designed by Idaho architect H. W. Bond. This property, which we named Butterfield Farms, was built in 1915 by August Broderson, who emigrated from Germany to the US in 1892. You could say Boise National Forest is in the tri-forest area. It is surrounded on all sides by Payette, Salmon-Challis, and Sawtooth National Forests, it is situated conveniently close to both urban fun in Boise, and limitless wilderness adventures everywhere else. Alpine tundra is dotted with evergreen forest in the green rolling hills here, topped with snow, and anchored by sparkling valley waterways. Description (site overview)
Our property is nestled bellow the mountains in the upper country of Idaho close to the small quaint farm towns of Midvale and Cambridge where the nearest stoplight is 30 miles away. Whether you are looking to escape hussell and bussell or have a base camp for your next adventure, you've come to the right place! The campsite is perched up near the large pond about 1000 feet off the main road (which you may see 5 cars a day on or the occasional horseback rider). And not to worry, there is a decent driveway that will bring you within 100 feet of the campsite, a pickup or 4 wheel drive is not required. ! The pond is an oasis for passing ducks and geese and other wildlife. Once you've established yourself enjoy a nice walk around the pond, cast a line off the pedal boat (catch and release), or enjoy a picnic on the island with the ducks and geese. Peace and quiet is all to be had here (other than the occasional bull frog croaking.) But if adventure is what you seek, adventure you will have! Known as the gateway to Hells Canyon, there are many things to do within 5 minutes to 1 hours drive. Drop into Midvale to hit the Weiser River Trail via hiking, horseback, or mountain bike (electric bikes too). Embark on an off road adventure with your UTV/ATV, or motorcycle up the nearby mountains to Sturgill Peak Lookout where you can see 100 miles in every direction. Schedule and excursion in Hells Canyon (deeper than the grand canyon) or take a dip at the local Mundo hot spring. Fishing and floating can be had at the near by Weiser river or boating at Crane Creek Reservoir. Or maybe you're looking for a base camp for hunting season. Again, the recreational possibilities are endless! Bring your supplies and stay at camp or take a short bike ride/drive into town for some food at the Coffee Cabin or a drink at the local tavern. Maybe you forgot something? the Midvale Market has you covered, and they have adult beverages too, open 7 days a week. Midvale also has a nice little park and a local swimming pool.
Site guidelines
Respect the locals and they will return the favor. We have a great small town community that looks out for one another. You can ride recreational vehicles on most of the local roads if you choose to bring them, just be respectful of the local laws and courteous to the neighbors who live on dirt roads by keeping the dust down when you pass by. No riding off trails/roads, especially on our property! Please bring life jackets or appropriate floatation devices for children who plan to play or swim in the pond. Explore the property and feel free to pick up wood and branches from the ground for the fire pit, but please do not remove or cut down any trees, and keep fires contained in the fire pit and do not burn when it's windy. Bedding is NOT provided at this time. There is a sheet Please bring sleeping bags or desired bedding for the covered queen bed. We also just built a brand new outhouse! We are slowly adding more amenities and plan to build an outdoor shower next.
There is an extra tent under the bed for the kiddos or other guests, also a pop up shad for the warm afternoons, it covers the deck nicely.

Hello. My name is Tamara and my husband is Andy. We bought this place in 2022 with the goal of raising animals humanely and providing good food options to purchase at reasonable prices. After moving to Ontario I noticed there are not many good options for nighttime sleep. I fondly remember camping with our kids in a location we named Neverland. We decided we wanted to create that for people. That’s why we joined Hipcamp. We have several sites that range from close to the house and bathroom access to remote in a field with the sounds of the creek to lull you to sleep. To increase safety and aid in positive memory making, only one group is allowed at a time. We have lots of space so whether you are a lone traveler, a family, or a group of friends looking to make memories consider staying with us and our animals. We generally have goats, chickens, and pigs. From July to October we have pheasants. Oh, and we have Cheese, our patrol duck, who wanders and keeps an eye on everything. He loves treats. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch.
Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. There is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present.
A small, creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Water is clearer during the winter and spring months. The spots I have cleared in this area are small. I recommend tent camping in this area. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field; they are shy. We have goat treats available for sale if you would like to feed them.
Oregon has an invasive, poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant. If you wander along the creek, you will encounter it.

In the early 1900's three sheep ranchers--August Broderson, James Fisher, and Isaac Leighton--each purchased residential lots in Weiser and built brick homes designed by Idaho architect H. W. Bond. This property, which we named Butterfield Farms, was built in 1915 by August Broderson, who emigrated from Germany to the US in 1892. The Broderson family lived here for decades and were a prominent family in Weiser history. Learn more about this land:The campsite is located on our small family-run farm in Weiser, ID. Our 2 1/2 acre historic farm is located in the heart of town, so you have the best of both worlds: easy access to town amenities, and a restful retreat in nature at the end of the day. Grocery store, seasonal farmer's market, coffee shop, eateries, library, and downtown shops are all within easy walking or biking distance. Weiser is known world-wide for its annual fiddle festival in June! Our campsite is within walking or biking distance of all of the Fiddle Week activities. Campsite is located underneath a large shady oak tree. Campers are welcome to use the fire pit when fire bans are not in effect. Electric hookups are located immediately next to the campsite, as well as a non-potable water source. Alright folks strap in:
I am not a bug or camping or outdoorsy person. My iridescent partner, however, has all the appreciation and love for it.
This GORGEOUS getaway felt safe, warm, comfortable and a lot of thoughtfulness has obviously been put into this place. The heater kept us v warm on the cold rainy nights, bugs were ZERO issue with the fly traps (and time of year) and other precautions the owners put in place.
The sounds of the birds (geese and ducks and magpies and so many more a birder could name), the cows in the distance, combined with the Mountain View’s, we didn’t even explore the camping chairs and canopy and table they had provided under the bed, the citronella candle (for my paranoid heart) and cozy protected sleeping area were all I needed.
We didn’t speak with a single person except for venturing into town and patroning the fab local businesses - a total dream for our disconnected getaway. THANK YOU

The only suggestion I have would be to put the yard light on a motion sensor so that the light didn’t come in our windows all night.
Great directions for finding it after dark and excellent and friendly communication.

This is the first time our family has revisited a Hipcamp location that we’d stayed at before. We enjoyed our second visit and will likely continue to visit in the future as it is a beautiful location for a weekend getaway near Boise.
Wade’s yurt is great because it is clean, well stocked with supplies for cooking, and it has an electric heater/AC plus a wood burning stove, so we sleep comfortably when we visit during the winter.
The yurt also has board games, a disc golf hole + frisbees, a corn hole game, a grill, and chairs for around the fire pit.
The outhouse has been freshly cleaned both times we’ve visited as well.
The first time there was tons of snow and my kids enjoyed sledding down the hill on site. This year there was no snow, so we spent an afternoon soaking at Kirkham hot springs instead! Regardless of the season, this is a relaxing place to spend a couple days.

Great spot close to Boise but felt like we were in the country. Grandkids loved playing by the pond. We went in October so water was low in the pond and beach was muddy in places but kids had a ball and mud washes off. We liked The Willows campsite by the willow tree. Loved listening to the little creek that runs behind that site. Driveway to campground has quite a slope but we had no trouble driving our 27’ rv back up. Woke up to see cows in the pasture behind the campground. Also saw two cranes.

My son and I spent two days at Cagle Cove, The Aspens site and had a great time. We are definitely going back. It feels very secluded. You hear some birds, occasional cow and some roosters in the morning. The sites are spacious and very clean. The ground is flat with no rocks or roots to worry about, so tent placement is quick and easy. We were in a 3-person tent with a 10x10 canopy and even had room for our Yukon XL. The owners kept a fresh stockpile of firewood they sell for $5 a bundle, and these logs are big, they’re dry and burn quite a long time. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway to recharge, get a good nights rest, cook over a campfire, and see a sky full of stars, this is the place. You can splurge and bring the good steak, because this place is a deal.

Great little find close to town!
The spots are a little close together mostly because it's so open and some are on the smaller side (we had a hard time fitting our 10 person party tent and our car in our spot out of the road, there are bigger spots we'll pick next time. But it's great if there's only one or two spots taken or it would be wonderful to rent the whole for a family campout. We will definitely be back.
It's beautiful and the pond was fun. The boats are a nice touch. They keep it clean and the portapotty is perfect. It's nice having the dog off leash. We were there for a week and Lily only visited one day, she was a nice dog and a lot of fun for the kids that we're there between the two sites, she's definitely a bonus but she does find any food you haven't closed up so keep it packed ;)
Just information- there's not much by way of fire making materials to be gathered, they sell logs at a very fair price compared to the local gas stations but you'll have to use fire starters, girl scout water or bring your own tender/kindling.

Second stay here. Amazing location right in town. You can walk to almost anything. Site is clean and flat with fresh water.
