We are focused on education about Hawai`i, being kind to animals (and all life, including humans), and we are privileged to be able to share our aloha as well as farm bounty. We grow chili peppers, ulu (breadfruit), kalo (taro), noni, vegetables, bananas, olena (turmeric), ginger, etc. Not pictured is the common kitchen area. We have access to Reiki, massage, and other types of services. We have kayaks, surfboards, general snorkel and beach gear, SUPs, and connections to local businesses for other opportunities (e.g., horseback riding, sailing, rowing, etc.). There are surfing, kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, scuba, horseback riding, and hiking options nearby. We are also conveniently near a mall and many great places to eat. It is also lovely to hang out here at the farm and enjoy the peace, away from concrete and traffic congestion. There are places to explore and a steep climb one can hike to get to the edge of the property where there are many and even more spectacular views. Dogs, chickens, pheasants, peacock, mongoose, and many birds. Tge invasive coqui frog is annoying to some and calming to others. The micro climate here swings from warm and dry to wet quickly. Best to always prepare for rain. There is snorkeling, beaches, local food, Cafe, BBQ, poke, fish-n-chips, grocery, Sunday farmers market and hiking nearby. It is peaceful here, but also an active farming community. As an organic farm, we put alot of effort into soil building and as such, there are soft places that will be damaged by the weight of a vehicle. Staying on the driveway is best. We will guide you to where you need to go. Our road is paved, but bumpy. When coming from the south, turn left toward the mountain immediately before the long Hauula Beach park bridge or when coming from the north turn right immediately toward the mountain just after the long park bridge into my dirt driveway. You will have the small river on your righthand side as you drive in.

Staying at the Sun Farm was great! We camped at multiple spots around the island, and they had the most hostel feel to it! The charging options on site with a fridge was perfect for our last night before leaving, as we we were able to have things available to use the next day. Hot water in the showers and our site was right next to the office. We were able to participate in the Sun Farm tour and we HIGHLY recommend! If we visit the Sun Farm again we would like to explore their cabin/tent options for sure!

We stayed at both of Mae’s campsites for a week, and it was an amazing experience. The sites are thoughtfully equipped with hot showers, flush toilets, a sink, a sun/rain dome, a propane stove, and a campfire—everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had planned to explore so much of the Big Island, but the campsite was so peaceful and nourishing that I often just wanted to stay there all day and do nothing. Mae is a wonderful host and such an interesting person to chat with. She welcomed us for morning tea and coffee and even shared delicious fruits from her farm. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to the Big Island. Highly recommended.

This camp was super fantastic. Our Host Mae was very caring for us (Malama ) and came to welcome us warmly when we arrive. The site was extraordinary with more than 2 acres just for us with a little lake , a place to play volleyball , a place to play balloon on a pole , and even a disc golf course that we could use with the disks furnished by the host!!! ..the restroom where the cleanest that I ever seen with , not one , but two showers and two restrooms And the showers were present with hot water. Everything was so clean. I could not believe it !! And the land: I thought for a moment that I was camping on a par 3 of Pebble Beach California !!! in supplement we had the right to pick up fruits from trees: Lemons, limes, oranges, finger, lemons, tangerines, and others !! We even had a very nice dog name Knob! That came and welcome us, and was really great with us!! In all, this was the best IPC experience that we ever had up to now! Thanks Mae! Jeff and Suzan

A lovely site with great staff and amenities. There’s a full kitchen which was really nice and 2 hot showers, also fantastic. Easy to find. I stayed in a campervan and you’re a bit close to other tent campers but that’s pretty clear prior to booking. Good location near Koko head and the city if you’re into that.

My friends and I had a wonderful time here, there is a kitchenette area with a large sink with running water, picnic tables, and a fire pit that we used to make hot dogs and smores. There’s also a porcelain toilet and shower with hot water, so this site has great amenities for camping but still staying comfortable. Perfect for our island camping staycation.

The bungahigh cabin had amazing views and was in a good location for exploring the east side of the island! Nancy was very kind and made check in super easy. Everything was as described and we appreciated the supplies for bugs, thankfully the bugs weren’t bad though. Definitely a camping feel with a comfortable bed.

A lovely site. The view and location is fantastic. Directions are clear, I recommend arriving during the day at first but then it’s simple to find. The nearby boxing can bother some people but it didn’t bother me at all as they keep to themselves. I didn’t experience hot water but that’s understandable, overall I’d stay again and would recommend it

Site was really quiet on the border of a little river with three nice picnic tables and a nice very clean toilet as well as a warm water shower. This was very well appreciated by us. There was a field with four or five goats that were very interesting as well as some chickens and ducks walking around the property. Overall a very good experience.! We recommend. Note: we were notified to not feed the Goats or the ducks or check if the chickens had laid eggs. Thanks for the stay.
