These include Aldi (2 min), Whole Foods (3 min), IHOP (2 min), Dave’s Hot Chicken (2 min), Target (5 min), Cava (3 min), Chase Bank (2 min), and Bank of America (6 min). Daffin Park, home of the popular Savannah Bananas baseball team, and other attractions are within a 4-minute walk. We are also located near the seaside, only a 12-minute drive to Tybee Island, our local beach, and an 8-minute drive (or 12-minute bike ride) to the heart of Savannah's Historic District. The area is very bike-friendly. Thunderbolt, Georgia—Savannah's shrimp boat haven—is just a short hop away, including the Intracoastal Waterway, which is approximately 13 minutes via bicycle. Amenities include a microwave, small refrigerator, external full toilet, interior standard toilet, coffee maker, hot shower, WiFi, and AC. There is also a futon for additional guests.. There is a floor in the dome and both small screen windows and full panel windows for airflow and to keep out bugs. The sandcastle is a "glamping" tent. :-) Because it gets cold in the evenings, we have special insulation in the cooler months to keep you warm, along with duvet and blanket there is also a heater for winter and small ac for summer.  The bathroom is private.  It is VERY IMPORTANT that only toilet paper goes in the toilet. We have a super sensitive septic system. We have a small trashcan for any feminine products etc. You have your own parking spot and there is a short 30 foot trail to your yurt. Food and restaurants are very nearby in town and I provide a complete list of all my recommendations.For guests who stay in the Sandcastle, there is an outdoor shower, a pool, Also, a  kitchenette and grill, fridge, sink, and personal fire pit are available for your use.We have an aquaponic pond with koi that feed our hydroponic vegetable garden and multiple bee hives that pollinate everything. We also have many fruit trees on the property. There is a pond for our ducks, and the intracoastal river that is just a walk down the street.Check out is no later than noon.Guests are encouraged to explore the 6 acre property, relax by the pond, on the deck or by the pool. Unfortunately you just can’t go behind the gates without me.There is access to a outdoor fire pit (wood is available for purchase), the outdoor shower and an outhouse.High-speed internet is provided free of charge.
