Guest access
Folklore Forest is on 3 acres and has 270 feet of River Frontage at your disposal. Little River is considered to be the purest, natural flowing river in the state. Bring your fishing gear and kayaks. Sit on the rocks at the base of the waterfall under the rhododendrons and holly trees, and wade in the water in the warm months.
Park on the side of the road in front of the Cynefin sign. There are solar lights illuminating the path to the tent if you arrive after dark. There you will find a that you can use to bring your luggage down.
Other things to note
• The river will rise and fall depending on how much rain we are getting. It tends to be lower late summer to early fall. We cannot guarantee water levels.
• This is primitive off grid camping. There's no electricity or running water. We recommend bringing a portable battery pack to charge devices.
• Please be respectful of any wildlife (there are white tail deer, raccoons, weasels, harmless black snakes, mink, foxes, coyotes, many birds, and the extremely, and we do mean extremely, rare black bear), while fishing in the little river is allowed, hunting is prohibited.

The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds
less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River.
Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time.
Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at
the website TVA.gov.
The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily.
This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more!
The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River.

Absolutely loved our stay! The property is gorgeous and private. The Adirondack shack is the perfect place to set up your camp kitchen - or hide from the rain. The spring kept us in water for our entire stay - and the wildlife kept us entertained (foxes are very vocal lol). Don't forget to sign the guest book! We left a few things for the next visitors, as past guests have done before us. We can't wait to go back!!

Really enjoyed my overnight in the A-Frame. The property is well kept. The other campers were friendly and respectful of noise/space. Would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again. And highly recommend Angry Hops brewery in Blue Ridge!

2 nights at Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres
We loved this site. It has everything you’d want in a perfect campsite. Horses, running water, a fully stocked kitchen, secure and private bath/shower, creeks and trails, multiple fire pits, cute fluffy kitty, electricity. We were so impressed with the custom touches and clever functionality of the kitchen and cabin. Perfect for a group. Oh… and bonus points for the tether ball.

4 nights at The Ridge at Stanley Gap
We always love staying at Josh’s land, especially in the A-Frame! It’s nice to not have to break down my tent every day when I come this way to visit my son. I believe this is my fourth visit and there will always be more times to come! Cannot say enough good things about this campground. 10/10 always recommend!

What a gem! Acres of wooded are for the pups and a little creek /stream running through! Very private abe east to get to! Loved the deck which we used as our kitchen, it’s larger than it looks and well equipped with lanterns table/chairs ! We had the best time and will be back! Thanks George for a breathe of fresh air !

Very convenient to Lula Lake Land Trust.
Having the bathroom/shower was great, and the electricity & “kitchen” at the barn was nice.
I’d suggest that you still bring some of your own cookware, rather than assume everything you may want to use will be available.
Also maybe bring something large enough to warm up some water, so you can effectively use it to wash dishes; the
sink in the barn has only cold water.

Weekend Trip to Your Toccoa River Cove!
I love camping on George’s land. There’s plenty of room for tents around the fire or in the shelter. The shelter really is set up great with thoughtful additions; the sturdy shutters all around allow for visibility and air flow. The outhouse is very clean. The rolling cart for toting supplies is extremely helpful and convenient.

Weekend Trip to Your Toccoa River Cove!
Mr. George owns a very beautiful slice of heaven up in the north Georgia mountains. The convergence of several small streams set the backdrop to a very quiet and tranquil weekend. Clean outhouse, 2 bars of LTE just in case you need to contact civilization, and not a peep from the neighbors made this camp out delightful. I'll certainly be adding this to my "repeat visits" list!
