Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate).
We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s.
We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need.
You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back.
Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk.
There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite.
We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on.
We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral.
You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill.
Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials.

The property features a large fire pit, a metal kayak, and a Jon boat for your use. Our lake is fully stocked with largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and bluegill. There are plenty of great spots to pitch a tent, and since we are situated on a hill, there is no need to worry about flooding.

There’s a creek with a Beaver dam near the sites and up the road, there’s a pond you can see when you’re coming in to the sites. The small town of Crawford has a very nice pizza place called Crawford pizza, which has other stuff as well. Also, Crawford laundry is right there for your laundry needs. This property is at the end of a cul da sac, just under 1 acres, plenty of trees, a small stream and privacy. It's about 4.5 miles from Road Atlanta raceway off of Hwy 53. It's a 10 minute walk and 1 minute drive from Roman Oven fantastic Italian restaurant. It accommodates all RVs, Class A, and 5th Wheels with 50 amp services, sewer and water.

Brand new, nice, quiet sites in the woods. The sites are located at the end of a gravel road passed some rental cottages. There are four sites that are back in or pull in sites. There’s a creek with a Beaver dam near the sites and up the road, there’s a pond you can see when you’re coming in to the sites. The small town of Crawford has a very nice pizza place called Crawford pizza, which has other stuff as well. Also, Crawford laundry is right there for your laundry needs. There is also a really good Mexican place that’s within 2 miles of the sites. And Athens is just 20 minutes away.

Great campsite and well cared for. My only suggestion is they read messages fully. I asked 3-4 questions and got a single word reply. So communicate was not great, but I’d definitely stay again. Very accessible and comfortable campsite.

Staying at George Bushcraft for an extra night before and an extra night after attending a class with Jacks Genega is the perfect way to bookend the experience! The property is peaceful and beautifully maintained. I always look forward to my education and mental reset while I’m there.

SureWood FoRest is a fantastic spot for escaping to nature. The sites are a way back on the property and well separated. It was a little muddy where I set up, but rain will do that. My dog loved being off lead and exploring nearby while I cooked and tended the fire. She was a little disappointed that the goats didn't want to meet her. We took some nice walks around the property, and drove over to High Falls State Park to hike the trail there.
I definitely recommend this camp if you're looking to unplug and unwind.

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.
