Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. For Equestrian campers, we have an electric hook-up near the house and a round-pen size paddock for horses (or can make panels into stalls) +$7/horse/night. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.

Just enough outside city and in the trees to feel remote. Had a safe feel. Easy access to everything needed. Short ride to airport. Some airplane noise but it didn't bother me.

Weekend Trip to Glampsite 17 Acre Farm South of ATL

We really enjoyed our stay. The camper is the perfect size for two people. We also had our two small dogs. Unfortunately it was really cold when we were there, so we couldn't take full advantage of the amenities (like the hammocks!!). Space heaters were provided in the camper and bathroom and took the chill out of the air. There's also a wood stove in the barn, which we used one night. However, since the barn is open to the outside, the space really doesn't heat up and you have to be sitting directly in front of the stove to warm up. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful space with lots of homey details. Also, the fireplace and fire pit were prepped with kindling and firestarter--making it super convenient to get the fire started. The bathroom is nice and spacious; I loved the rain showerhead, and the toiletries provided. There's also a nice little kitchen area, including dishes, a small fridge, electric cooktop and a few pots/pans, coffee maker, and even an ice maker. The string lights outside the camper are pretty bright--it would be nice if they were on a timer or if there was a remote/instructions for turning them off at night. That's really my only complaint. Kaitlin was friendly and easy to communicate with. We had no issues accessing the property and orienting ourselves. I'd definitely come back, preferably in a shoulder season when I could take full advantage of hanging out in the barn and hammocks. It's a lovely, magical little spot!

A most magical spot that is both expansive and private! It's hard to believe that it could be even better than it is in the photos, but it is. The barn space is so unique, welcoming and well set up. The trailer bedroom space was comfortable and cozy, even in subzero overnight temperatures. The showerheads and water pressure are great, and we were able to prep food in the generous kitchen space. This is great find for those passing through and for those visiting Atlanta.

Bill & Laura's hospitality was amazing! They made every effort to help us find a great spot right on the lake! Moved and leveled the picnic table while we enjoyed conversation. Communication details were very detail and a great help. The views were beautiful and serene, we even had access to a gazebo next to our camp. We slept in our tent and felt very safe. We caught two nice size catfish just before leaving which was great! I can't say enough about this private camp site, except we will be back again soon.

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

Weekend Trip to Surewood ForRest

Staying at the farm has been one of the best camping trips I’ve ever taken! Mrs Jo and Mr Sam were the absolute best hosts anyone could ask for! Had help unloading and bringing my gear to the site. They were also so nice to let me borrow a small heater for when it was going to get down to freezing. The weather was beautiful and the walks through the property were great. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed being around the goats and the mule since we stayed at the goat site. Enjoyed waking up to the roosters and peacocks. Plenty of good deadfall for firewood and the sites are set up very well. I also brought home some soap and honey that were made at the farm. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend of relaxation and time in the woods. So many great things, but too many to list! You will definitely have to go experience it for yourself! I will definitely be returning!

We had the best time at Brooks Lake — it’s truly our happy place. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and it’s the perfect spot to spend time as a family. My son loved learning to fish and explore the outdoors, and we all enjoyed just slowing down and soaking up the quiet. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming — it really feels like home away from home. We can’t wait to bring our camper back for another weekend by the lake!

Beautiful property located in the heart of suburban Atlanta. To be honest, wasn't what I thought thinking this Aaron's land was further out of town? However, to Aaron's credit, he has chosen NOT to develop his gorgeous property and keep it pristine and instead turn it into an RV haven. Coming in from the highway with a large rig, it was a little nerve wracking coming in through town and into his property, but if I can fit ANYONE can fit. Lots of separation from others. Wonderful space.

Very secure, safe place. The layout is family friendly with games. Host continues to make improvements adding on. Definitely recommend.
