less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River.
Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time.
Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at
the website TVA.gov.
The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily.
This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. Walnut Hollow Ranch sits in the Nantahala Mountain Region of the Great Smoky Mountains. The 155 acre farm is a horseshoe shaped cove with Wiggin's Top at its crown. The land consists of 67 acres of cattle pastures, 5 ponds and 3-5 miles of hiking trails. The forest consists of lowland pines, poplar, dogwood, hickory and walnut trees. The upland consists of oaks, poplar and other hardwoods. Wildlife abounds at Walnut Hollow Ranch. Our residents include: wild turkeys, white tail deer, red fox, red tail hawks, bluebirds, finches and many others. Passerby's include: wood and mallard ducks, blue and white herons, river otters, black bear, bobcat, coyote and migratory birds.The ponds include: big mouth bass, small mouth bass and brim.

Weekend Trip to Your Toccoa River Cove!
Mr. George owns a very beautiful slice of heaven up in the north Georgia mountains. The convergence of several small streams set the backdrop to a very quiet and tranquil weekend. Clean outhouse, 2 bars of LTE just in case you need to contact civilization, and not a peep from the neighbors made this camp out delightful. I'll certainly be adding this to my "repeat visits" list!

Scott was such a fantastic host! He was extremely communicative and thorough with his directions. When we arrived, he helped us get set up in our spot and even gave us a tour of his goat farm. He took his time to answer our questions and is just generally a super sweet guy. We bought some things from the shop they have (goat milk soap and lotion) that smell amazing!
The camp spot was peaceful and pretty even without anything blooming - we can only imagine how pretty it would be in the summer/fall!

My husband and I enjoyed our trip to The Cove. The grounds are beautiful and you feel like you stepped back in time . We had room to set up our 4 man tent under the shelter with plenty of room for cooking and setting up our chairs to hang out and enjoy the spectacular view. We also enjoyed the fire pit. The outhouse was very nice as well. We look forward to another visit and recommend this place if you are ready to get away from the hustle and bustle and are in need of some R&R. The host was very friendly and checked in on us when we first got there and let us know we could call him if we needed him. It was also nice falling asleep to the sound of the babbling brook.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! We had an amazing time. Amy was amazing and so kind. The animals were friendly. We camped right next to them and they were quiet. Everything was clean and the owner outdid herself with the decorations. Everywhere you turned there was a different whimsical item. We will definitely be going back. My only wish was there was a bathroom closer to where you park the RVs. It’s super close to the cabins though.

The place was amazing! Everything you need in a camp site. The fire pit and picnic table were just right for meal time and roasting marshmallows. The outhouse was a nice feature for the ladies on the trip. The shelter really came in handy the last morning since it was raining. This place is for sure on our list of places to camp at again. Another great trip to the Cove! For anyone who comes right after us, we set up your first fire logs in the firepit. We brought our own firewood but you’ll find enough logs in the wood crib to do about two fires, plus the giant stumps that are great to prolong the fire if you can get one going. George also has a bale of pine straw in there which is super helpful to get a fire started. My whole review is about fires, can you tell it was cold while we were there haha! Saw several deer and hawks. Lots of stars and quiet.
