We knew our property was a special place when we found it during our search when we decided to move our alpaca farm from FL to GA. We have raised alpaca for last 17 years. They are a fiber producing animal (similar to sheep) as well as just a beautiful animal, have great personalities and it is amazing to watch the herd dynamics. We have 2 very spoiled donkeys (sister and brother-gelded) - have had them for about 18 years. We are committed to provide the best care possible for our animals and love to educate people about alpacas (and donkeys). There is a large covered deck overlooking the alpaca pastures - come hang out with them. We have a farm store onsite with various items for sale made out of the alpaca fiber (socks, scarves, sweaters, hats, plushies, etc). As part of your stay, we provide a short alpaca farm tour!
There is a 2 acre pond on our property which is adjacent to the campsite area separated by a fence. The campsite area is located away from our main house and the alpaca barn. Beautiful property. Easy to get to with many amenities. Tom graciously met us and guided us to our spot and we had a lovely chat. In addition to full hookups, there was an additional outside bathroom and shower, which is probably great in the hot summer. A great screened in gathering room with TV, kitchen area, table and chairs, and grill. Beautiful pond too. The night sky cannot be beat while sitting around the fire. So much room to spread out and enjoy the surroundings. We loved it and will enjoy coming back.

Absolutely the best one I’ve been to so far. Lovely, clean, easy to get in and out, and very private. Even has a little covered area with lights and a fan. If you’re driving through Saluda, this is the perfect spot for an RV or tent. Oh! And James is super nice and very helpful. He shows that he truly cares about his property and guests.

I enjoyed my overnight stay by the lake. The next morning I learned so much about alpacas and llamas. The farm is gated and locked. Even though it was after dark when I arrived, their hospitality was in full display. I also bought some super soft hiking socks, and bought a scarf and a pair of gloves for my friends at the farm store. I'll be staying here again!

Nice toilet and shower, very clean and host was kind! I was in park 4 which is same price as the other sites but was relatively smaller than the rest, but secluded more than the other spots if you want more privacy

Camp site was amazing. Jame's was very accommodating allowing me to switch sites when I realized there was no power on the site I originally booked. Location is beautiful. No light polution, can see tons of stars at night. Bathroom and shower are small but heated and air conditioned with plenty of hot water. Easy access trails to the restroom/shower. Had a lovely time.

Great site. Fishing was good. Caught 24 lb. Catfish, a Bluegill and a large mouth Bass. Neighbors were a little loud but overall, great place to enjoy nature. Clean facilities and grounds! We will be back.

Great place to camp on the lake! Plenty of parking for the boat and close to several ramps. I plan on staying again for the next tournament on Murray. Also very nice to have the pup off leash!

My family had a great time! Nice, simple little camp spot in the woods with a campfire. Completely secluded and quiet. Great views of the stars with no lights. Lots of wood around, but would recommend bringing some of your own. Small wildlife and deer. The host was very helpful. I would recommend! 👍

We, the wife and two dogs, love this place. Nearly every summer and winter our travels takes us near Deerfield and we love it so much, we keep coming back. The location is scenic and private and quiet. It maybe out-of-the-way, but worth the extra few miles.

It's great! Not crowded like the parks with RV's packed 15 feet away from one another and no campers walking through your campsite. The host family was super friendly. There were about 12 deer near the campsite in the morning. The kids loved seeing them.

3 nights at Offgrid Glamping At Private Lake
Such a quiet place to stay. You have the opportunity to relax on the large deck overlooking water. Such a relaxing place. The dome had everything we needed. Bonus points for the hammock! We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful spot to camp! We enjoyed a lovely evening walk with our dog and another before leaving in the morning. Thomas is a pleasant and accommodating host. The facilities were clean and offered everything we needed. Definitely felt like a safe place to stay. We would highly recommend this Hipcamp site and host.
