Close to the activities on 30A and the Gulf of Mexico (7 minutes) but secluded enough to feel like you have your own private piece of paradise with amazing sunset views. The bay is full of life: watch mullet jump, catch crabs, watch for dolphins and sting rays. If you enjoy fishing, try night fishing on the dock, too. Bay charters come to the waters around our dock on their excursions! If you bring a boat, Cessna Landing is just under 2 miles away with a very nice boat launch. Tie your boat to our dock for the duration of your visit. Boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, swimming, sunset watching, bicycling and campfires are a few things to enjoy while at the 30A Bay Hideaway. Sunset viewing deck, bay beach/dock, fire pit and an outdoor shower and sink with hot water and an outdoor mini-fridge are included in the listing. Beautiful property! Fantastic view, Great location. We loved kayaking in the bay and visiting nearby state parks and beaches. The heated shower, outdoor sink, and level RV pad made camping easy! The owners were very responsive and helpful with some questions I had prior to arrival as well.. If we travel to the same area again, we would happily return to the Bay Getaway.

We've been sojourning here for almost five years. We drive our camper from Kansas City to the Everglades for the winter and stop here at the Bay Hideaway to and from to visit our six grandchildren that live in the area. It is a perfect Hideaway, with no 'stranger danger', a huge lawn to play on, a shallow bay for the kids to have fun catching crabs, a very long dock, a tree house, not to mention the quiet and the gorgeous views. I love the porch, and the trees and marsh for the excellent birdwatching. In the four days we were here this visit we saw over 15 types of birds including a Clapper Rail, a Bald Eagle, and lots of shore birds. Crystal and Nathan have been helpful and a pleasure to communicate with... very highly recommend staying here!

Book it! We felt so lucky that we found this spot super last minute. The hosts were so kind to allow us to book the same day we were arriving. We stayed a week in this paradise. Sunrises and sunsets were world class. The campsite itself was level and clean with full hookups. Getting our 36’ fifth wheel back there was no problem at all. We can’t wait to stay here the next time we’re in town visiting family.

Love camping on the bay. Everything is always well-kept and just as pictured. We really enjoy kayaking, bird watching, fishing,… we used a cast net to catch our own bait and caught fish off the dock. We saw crabs, stingrays, and even a gator swimming by this year. The sunrises and sunsets are great. This is one of our favorite places to camp. Thanks for sharing your great place!

This is our fourth year visiting The Bay Getaway. Our grandchildren love coming each year to kayak, catch little crabs in the shallows, climb up onto the treehouse, and run and play on the huge lawn. We love the birdwatching, the beautiful sunsets, the quiet, and the privacy of this spot to give us a safe environment for visiting with our grandkids. Love this place!

I loved staying at 30A Hideaway Retreat & already miss being there. It is secluded & private, right on the bayou to enjoy gorgeous sunsets, use the kayaks/paddle boards to get out on the water or go fishing off the dock. I saw a dolphin swimming right off of the dock along with pelicans, egrets & grey herons flying, feeding & hanging around. It is also close enough to eat out at fun restaurants, go shopping & relax on the white sandy beaches & swim in the turquoise ocean. I took a great bike ride on the Timpoochee Trail, an 18-mile beautiful, paved trail that runs along South Walton’s Scenic 30A, through colorful, picturesque beachside towns & along several rare & captivating dune lakes.
This idyllic property is the perfect camping vacation retreat ~ I highly recommend it!

I felt like a 62 year old Huck Finn exploring on the kayak, catching crabs, and watching the dolphins pass by. My husband catch great Red Fish. All released. I think the one he caught last night was at least 30”. We loved this spot. The outdoor shower was a treat looking out to the bay. Our dog loved being able to be off leash and playing in the bay.

Had a great time at this site, it is as advertised and felt very private. My dog had a blast running around and we enjoyed sitting on the dock all day. The site is also a close drive to the 30A beaches, but I liked staying on the bayside, it was quieter and we enjoyed lots of wildlife sightings. Hope to be back when the weather is a bit less windy so we can enjoy the kayaks! Thanks for a great trip!

My family and I enjoyed Camping here. We brought all of our large dogs. They loved the space as much as we did. This location felt remote even though we were only a few minutes away from dining and shopping. The owners were very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely recomend this place to anyone looking for a great time.
