We have availability for Memorial Day and fishing continues to be HOT!! Redfish are plentiful and tarpon are rolling! Fishing continues to be the draw during the off season. We have a Fish Cleaning House on site to clean your fish.
While we wait for Scallop Season we are still welcoming folks from all over the country. Some are still traveling further south in Florida. Some are heading home (Wyoming, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio).
We offer three Amish built log cabins at our RV Campground. Each cabin has a front porch, one bedroom with queen size bed and a set of bunk beds in the living area. Two burner stove top, full size microwave and refrigerator. Full size bathroom with large walk-in shower. Fully furnished with towels and linens as well as dishes, cooking utensils and coffee pot. Smart TV with Dish Network. Wi-Fi is included. The Campground is fenced and gated and we are pet friendly. There is a laundry facility on site for the guests. There is a fire pit if you want to relax. In the summer we have a stock tank pool (opens in April) to cool off after a long day on the water.
Steinhatchee is located in Taylor County Florida along the Gulf of America. Inshore and offshore fishing is year-round. Scallop season is June 15 to Labor Day. More than 20 springs are located within 45 minutes of Steinhatchee. Too numerous to count are the Florida Wildlife Management areas that are accessible by car and allow for bird watching and animal siting of deer and wild boar. Steinhatchee River is a kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding experience. The local restaurants/Marinas are within five minutes of the campground. Live music is available at the restaurants.

The cottage has a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and dishware. BBQ grille located on outside deck and propane is provided. There is a gas fire pit on the north river deck and a wood burning fire pit along the riverbank, wood provided.
The space
River Rise Cottage is set up to offer a relaxing and enjoyable experience to make lasting memories. The cottage has large windows with outstanding river views and a walk around deck that you can fish from. Should it rain, you can enjoy the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Several feet from the cottage is a screened porch overlooking the scenic river, with plenty of comfortable seating and a daybed... should you want to nap. From this location It's not uncommon to see wildlife. A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the evening bug free. Take a swing on the open porch, sit riverside at either our propane fire pit or have a campfire (firewood provided) which is also along the river nestled in the woods. We encourage guests to use the outdoor seating areas for the ultimate relaxation experience and to find your favorite spot! Bar-B-Q with our easy-to-use propane grill (utensils and grill pans provided). Our fish station makes cleaning your catch a breeze! Also available a full-size fridge located on the screened porch in addition to the mini fridge in the cottage.
Guest access
Large open deck with ladder access to the floating dock which is perfect for mooring your boat or launching kayaks. Kayaks are available for guest use. Provided are (2) single person (1) fishing single person and (1) two-person tandem kayaks with life vest.
We offer a complimentary shuttle service for the 5-mile downstream Aucilla River to the Gulf of Mexico trip. This can be scheduled after your check-in. Use of the kayaks are at your "own risk" with no host liability.
We encourage guest to enjoy the common areas porches at back of main house. Camp chairs are provided and can be used at the fire pit and along the riverbank.
A public boat ramp is located within 300 yards north of the property and we have ample storage for you boat trailer during your stay.

We gladly accept children with the understanding that all children thirteen and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times outside the cottage due to its proximity over the river and being in a very natural wildlife environment. This is a strict requirement that will be compulsory. This is for the safety of your children while staying at the River Rise Cottage.
We are pet friendly but do require that your pets are not left alone in the cottage. We have different size crates available, and these are provided at no extra charge in the event that you should leave the cottage and choose not to take your fur baby with you. There is a $50 non-refundable pet deposit fee for 1 -2 pets.
A guest’s animal must not be:

It's easy to relax at this Canal-front house in Oyster Bay, Florida. We have 4 kayaks and a canoe, so you can paddle to the open gulf, only 1/4 mile away, or just fish off the dock. Everything about this place is a dream! We went for my birthday celebration and completely fell in love. From the first few moments after arrival, I could feel my whole system winding down and relaxing. We loved visiting the spring at the bottom of the dock, and enjoying the river view in the many cozy spaces provided. The kitchen was fully stocked so we could make lots of yummy meals too! The beds were nice and comfy, and the hanging bed outside was a special treat. It was so easy to pop over to the nearby springs to take a dip, and coming back to build a fire was a perfect way to end the day. We will absolutely be back, and soon! Thank you Kelli :)

Every Friday and Saturday night they light a fire and had marshmallows and sticks already sitting out. The house is great and all the stuff you need for enjoying the outdoors is handy (kayaks, canoe, grills, fire pit, fishing gear, etc.). It will be great if/when they get the dock repaired for better river access.
Nothing is terribly close by for groceries and such so be sure to stock up on the way. If you're planning to spend a lot of time around the fire pit then bring some cutting tools. There are lots of downed trees on the property and nearby, but no way to easily use them.
We learned a lot about this style of HipCamp (we normally tent camping) and really enjoyed it. This property seems to be a good value. I think we will be back again

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was lovely and we had a relaxing stay. The owners were very nice and helpful! If there was any suggestion, it would be one of the following. Put a picnic table by the fire pit area for those cooking over the fire to eat at OR make a second fire pit behind the cabins in that grass area. That way it's closer to the cabin for easier access of cooking/eating. That was a super minor thing and will definitely stay there again when visiting!

The cottage was extremely clean and well laid out. Literally right over the water, so the view was beautiful and oh so peaceful. We were really able to unplug. My son and I got there later than we would have liked and had to leave early, but we absolutely loved Kokomo Farms! The tiny house was amazing and we’ve talked to quite a few people since leaving and told them all about it, and even helped a few people to download hipcamp so they can see for themselves and hopefully book a stay. The bed was very comfortable, the little fireplace heater kept us warm, the shower was amazing and the water pressure was great! My son is ready to come back asap and I’ve told him I’ll look into getting is back there as soon as I can. If you have to chance to book at Kokomo Farms just do it, I’d imagine all the stays there are great and comfortable!

We had a wonderful short stay at Kokomo in the cabin in the woods. We loved feeding the horses and the chickens and eating breakfast with fresh eggs on the porch with the cats. Lots of nature to experience in the area. We visited Charles Spring and the "Bridge to Nowhere " in Live Oak. Trudy was a wonderful host. Highly recommend this wonderful farmstay.

Words can’t describe the peace we found at this amazing cabin! The hosts thought of everything! It is off the beaten path, which was exactly what we wanted, so the thoughtful touches really made a big difference! The porch bed was perfect for afternoon reading and naps and was even an amazing bed for me to spend the night on escaping my husbands snoring! 😂 we had a fire going the whole time for hot dogs, smores and warmth and loved the cool nights just relaxing! This was a Thanksgiving getaway with nothing but relaxation on the agenda, but we are looking forward to returning when the docks are ready and the weather is warm enough to do some exploring with the kayaks! The spices, bath amenities, amazing air fresheners, games and supplies were such an amazing surprise - enhancing our experience and solidifying this as a future vacation spot!
