This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. Beautiful spot overlooking Lake Weir in The Ocala National Forest. Watch the otters play and count the many different birds that make this lake their home. (Check the moonrise/moonset tables to see if there is a visible moon during your intended stay - it really is an incredible sight). We have an amazing outdoor shower, with hot and cold running water, overlooking the lake. The extra large soaking bathtub is available for your use for $20 per stay if there are not other campers at the time due to us only having one bathroom available. Great for relaxing, bathing kids, or a very romantic evening. Canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak available for your use at no charge. You can paddle to nearby Gator Joe's which is an awesome spot on the lake for great food, drinks, and live music. Electric and water hookup (garden hose) both sites. RV 30 amp electric hookup, as well as regular 15 amp electric hookup on hilltop site. Many trees on the property makes it tricky for large vehicles to maneuver, therefor we have a limit of 25 feet including tow vehicle. Dockside site has 15 amp hookup. We do have an adapter to connect to 30 amp hookup. It is closer to the house and bathroom than site 2 and has more shade and easy access to the dock. Pontoon boat rentals are available down the road. Being on the lake we do have mosquitos but they are mostly an issue at dusk and dawn for about an hour but we are out in nature so insect encounters of all kinds are to be expected. If there is a nice breeze, which is often the case, you can enjoy the sunset from the rocker loveseat at the edge of our dock. We also have citronella torches available for rent. We also offer a large bundle of firewood for $10. Campers MUST check in by 10 pm. We recommend arriving during daylight whenever possible. It is important you understand that our property is not in the wilderness. We are NOT a commercial campground. We have a couple of acres in a residential area and there are homes near the campsite. That being said, you will have complete privacy at your campsites as the two sites are on opposite ends of the property and you will not see me at all other than when you check in, unless you desire to do so. Both campsites face the lake however, and you may see some fisherman out there from time to time, but I guarantee you will see much more wildlife than people. Each site has its own fire pit. Our guests love this place because of the lake, the incredible sunsets and moonsets over the lake, and all the incredible wildlife we have here, as you can see from the reviews. Well behaved pets are welcome off leash as long as they are supervised and don't bother other campers. They are not allowed on the porches. Please pick up any mess that is in the path of foot traffic. There is a $20 pet fee per pet per stay. Add it under extras. Pet sitting is available for an additional charge. I'm a professional photographer with 30 years of experience. Please inquire if you are interested in having your portrait made at this incredible location. We are 20 minutes from world famous Silver Springs, 20 minutes from Ocala Drive-In Movie Theater that usually shows great films for both kids and adults, and 20 minutes from the Santos Trailhead that offers world class biking and hiking paths. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the people that come here that have not read the description, expecting a wilderness campground and choose to leave a negative review based on that but everyone that has read the description has loved it here and many return.

There are endless places to put a tent including by the lake, or completely private areas, or by the common areas to be close to a bathroom and kitchen and pavilion, water and electric. The amenities include a pavilion with an outside kitchen, dinning and living area. There is also a ( large shed converted to a ) cook shack with a full size fridge, microwave, electric burners and a toaster oven. There is also a bathroom with a full-size shower/tub, hot water and a toilet. It comes with all of the basics to be comfortable while you camp. Also, you have a good chance of being alone. we usually only book 1 party at a time, Just message me to confirm. The property has enough lighting to completely light up the common area. There is also water and electric all over the property. There is a shooting range right outside of the property that is part of the forest. There is Blue Sink several miles away, it is a spring feed swimming hole that is deep enough for SCUBA. There is horse trails and OHV trails as well. This camp was a hunting camp and still has an huge animal cleaning station on the back side of the property, with water, drainage, power, lighting and all stainless steel sinks and counters. Come to play and explore or come to relax. Our camp is always (slowly)being Improved, you might see work in progress so be aware there may be a consolidated area that looks messy. This is a camp, everything gets dusty, and there are bugs. We keep the yard kept up and do what we can to limit bugs in the common area. I recommend a 4x4 although I don’t own one my self. The roads are usually decent, but the weather has a lot to do with roads in the forest.

Beautiful spot overlooking Lake Weir in The Ocala National Forest. Watch the otters play and count the many different birds that make this lake their home. (Check the moonrise/moonset tables to see if there is a visible moon during your intended stay - it really is an incredible sight). We have an amazing outdoor shower, with hot and cold running water, overlooking the lake. The extra large soaking bathtub is available for your use for $20 per stay if there are not other campers at the time due to us only having one bathroom available. Great for relaxing, bathing kids, or a very romantic evening. Canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak available for your use at no charge. You can paddle to nearby Gator Joe's which is an awesome spot on the lake for great food, drinks, and live music. Electric and water hookup (garden hose) both sites. RV 30 amp electric hookup, as well as regular 15 amp electric hookup on hilltop site. Many trees on the property makes it tricky for large vehicles to maneuver, therefor we have a limit of 25 feet including tow vehicle. Dockside site has 15 amp hookup. We do have an adapter to connect to 30 amp hookup. It is closer to the house and bathroom than site 2 and has more shade and easy access to the dock. Pontoon boat rentals are available down the road. Being on the lake we do have mosquitos but they are mostly an issue at dusk and dawn for about an hour but we are out in nature so insect encounters of all kinds are to be expected. If there is a nice breeze, which is often the case, you can enjoy the sunset from the rocker loveseat at the edge of our dock. We also have citronella torches available for rent. We also offer a large bundle of firewood for $10. Campers MUST check in by 10 pm. We recommend arriving during daylight whenever possible. It is important you understand that our property is not in the wilderness. We are NOT a commercial campground. We have a couple of acres in a residential area and there are homes near the campsite. That being said, you will have complete privacy at your campsites as the two sites are on opposite ends of the property and you will not see me at all other than when you check in, unless you desire to do so. Both campsites face the lake however, and you may see some fisherman out there from time to time, but I guarantee you will see much more wildlife than people. Each site has its own fire pit. Our guests love this place because of the lake, the incredible sunsets and moonsets over the lake, and all the incredible wildlife we have here, as you can see from the reviews. Well behaved pets are welcome off leash as long as they are supervised and don't bother other campers. They are not allowed on the porches. Please pick up any mess that is in the path of foot traffic. There is a $20 pet fee per pet per stay. Add it under extras. Pet sitting is available for an additional charge. I'm a professional photographer with 30 years of experience. Please inquire if you are interested in having your portrait made at this incredible location. We are 20 minutes from world famous Silver Springs, 20 minutes from Ocala Drive-In Movie Theater that usually shows great films for both kids and adults, and 20 minutes from the Santos Trailhead that offers world class biking and hiking paths. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the people that come here that have not read the description, expecting a wilderness campground and choose to leave a negative review based on that but everyone that has read the description has loved it here and many return.

There is also water and electric all over the property. There is a shooting range right outside of the property that is part of the forest. There is Blue Sink several miles away, it is a spring feed swimming hole that is deep enough for SCUBA. There is horse trails and OHV trails as well. This camp was a hunting camp and still has an huge animal cleaning station on the back side of the property, with water, drainage, power, lighting and all stainless steel sinks and counters. Come to play and explore or come to relax. Our camp is always (slowly)being Improved, you might see work in progress so be aware there may be a consolidated area that looks messy. This is a camp, everything gets dusty, and there are bugs. We keep the yard kept up and do what we can to limit bugs in the common area. I recommend a 4x4 although I don’t own one my self. The roads are usually decent, but the weather has a lot to do with roads in the forest.

Great stay. Lots of room for my dog to roam, and tons to see. Lots of animals, a full size pet pig and a family of goats with babies next door! Sean checked in on me and was available if I needed anything (which I did not). I had no issues with the 30a power. I will definitely be back!

Our recent stay was exceptional. The site is ideally located, offering beautiful views and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The host Laura and her husband were incredibly accommodating and have clearly invested a great deal of care into creating a thoughtfully designed, well-maintained space. It exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They met us upon arrival to give us a lay of the land. Gave some helpful tips on backing into the site as it was a bit tight. Not a problem to get into just good to know what you’re getting into. Would stay again.

Highly recommend staying here. The site we stayed at was beautiful, the trees with the moss hanging from them and the vegatation around the site made it feel very woodsie, nice size site as well. Pretty neat stuff to gander at on the property. The host James is wonderful to communicate with! We have already booked another stay in January and we are very excited to go back! There are trails for walking, biking and horseback riding right next door. A highly recommended drive through nature trail about 15 minutes from the sight. Just remember, your in the woods, there ARE bugs and mosquitoes be prepared if you go during warmer nights

Nice property and the people were very nice over the phone I arrived late and had to leave early for work so I didn't get a chance to meet them but well taken care of property and had what we needed. I did feel it may be a little pricey compared to other sites I've been too especially because I arrived late and left early I felt I paid a lot for 9 hours but that's my own fault for having a busy schedule I am glad it's same day bookings but it was far from where I work but the closet one to me with same day bookings I hate the 24 hour notice that most sites do so kudos there for sure thanks guys maybe sometime again soon I hope to stay longer next time.

I love staying here. I feel like i am far away fro. Civilization in a jungle.James is awesome. The place is quiet and relaxing. This is my second time and we enjoyed it. We reserved for two nights and had to leave after one for personal reasons but will be back.

The perfect escape for a few days. I enjoyed the lake view, night skies, fire pit, kayaking, and activities in the region. Good weather was sheer luck. The host is responsive and helpful. I look forward to returning!

Beautiful plot of land! Gorgeous trees. It was cool to be near the donkeys/horses. Tracey is a great host! The land is close enough to downtown Mt. Dora to bike in if you are ok crossing the highway and pedaling up a few hills.

Wow…! My husband and I stayed here for 3 days over Thanksgiving and we absolutely loved it. Our campsite was secluded and beautiful, the portos were clean, and the owner is what makes this place a real gem. James is genuinely one of the most helpful and generous people I’ve met in Florida so far. We ran into some technical issues with our power station, and James helped us in every possible way — from letting us use his solar panels and generator to even helping us charge it at his house. He was attentive, responsive, and provided firewood whenever we needed (for a fee). We’re so grateful for everything he did, and we will 100% be back in the future. I highly recommend staying here. The only heads-up is that if you plan on using Starlink or similar setups, there isn’t the clearest sky view. We were able to get it working, and I was able to work, but there were some interruptions from tree cover — just something to be aware of.

The campsite was beautiful and the motion sensor solar lights were an awesome help at night. The tree cover keeps the campsites cool and shady. They have lots of cool things to see. The kids loved seeing the animals and being able to explore the camground freely. I would also recommend visiting wakiva springs while youre in the area!

We loved our stay on the farm! The property was well kept and the campsites were set up nicely. We did visit during the off season, so we had the place to ourselves except for one night. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The farm animals were so cute. Lastly, the farm cats were the best! They both came up to us for some love and attention. The one cat, Spurs, sat on my lap at our campsite one of the nights as we sat by the camp fire. We will definitely book again!

The property is well maintained, relaxing, private and beautiful. We enjoyed watching the deer in the mornings and the hawks soaring over the lake. Laura was quick to respond to our questions and was a fantastic host. Excellent set up and we will definitely book again in the future.
