Destination Sunset was all that we expected and more. We stayed 5 nights with a 32’ camper. The large cement pad gave us room to set up the camper and really stretch out for outdoor movies, relaxing, and enjoying the view.
The lot is secure where we felt safe to let our 3 mini-schnauzers roam and explore without losing sight of them.
They had plenty of room to run and play. The host was very kind and helpful. There was firewood already split for us to use for a small additional fee.
The lot was easy to find and absolutely beautiful. There are mature trees with Spanish moss hanging everywhere. There is plenty of shade. String lights and a security light provide just the right amount of light once the sun goes down.
This was by far the nicest site we have ever stayed at. The sunsets are breathtaking. The Adirondack chairs around the fire pit is the perfect place to watch the sky light up over the water. We had a great vacation and will definitely stay here again in the future.

What an amazing camping spot! Better than we even expected and we’ve already booked our next trip. Many more visits to come! Super easy to find as well.
The space was great, full hook up for the camper was great, the fenced in acre yard for the pups was great, the views are incredible, ability to fish, paddle board, relax on the dock, launch a boat if you have one or use the canoe and kayaks they have! The peaceful mornings, days and nights by the campfire plus firewood access. Literally everything was wonderful. I can’t say enough good things!
To top it off, Tim and his wife were very kind, accommodating and helpful in every way needed. There’s also access to a Publix and other shopping that’s not too far away if needed. This will be our regular camping spot. Keep in mind..the pictures in my review aren’t filtered. The views were just this perfect! Thanks again for everything Tim! We can’t wait to come back!

We love staying at Almost Heaven Acres.. this year we used the campsite for one night each Saturday when traveling north and needing a break. We set up our tent, hooked up the light and let our dogs run. Them we had a whole night sleep before continuing the road trip.

Couldn’t ask for a better campsite! A true gem of a hipcamp - Private lot in a lovely quiet neighborhood right on the water. Level concrete parking pad, full hookups, incredible view, fantastic fishing, insane wildlife, and even a ridiculously friendly neighborhood cat. We had many dolphin sightings, caught whiting and red drum from the dock, and even were shocked by a river otter one evening while we were enjoying the stunning sunset. To top it all off, the host Tim was so kind and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and book!!

What a gorgeous spot. I was immediately regretful that I only booked one night. Timothy was great - available though the app even when I was trying to locate the spot. I was distracted looking at house numbers and missed the giant hipcamp sign lol. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful night and morning, and next time I’ll be bringing my paddle board and staying a few more days. Highly recommend this beautiful spot on the water.

We loved everything about our stay at Destination Sunset. The campsite was even better than the photos - absolutely gorgeous. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and the roads in and out were easy in our 33’ class A. Tim is an amazing host, and all the neighbors we encountered were super friendly. Tim even loaned my husband the proper lure for fishing - no success with reds, but he caught a ton of catfish and had a blast. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks, Tim!

Nobody was there to greet us when we arrived, but when I asked for the exact address, the owner replied quickly and gave clear instructions. The number on the power pole was different from the one in the message, but luckily one of the neighbors kindly showed us the right spot.
It felt a bit spooky at night, but in the morning we were welcomed by a herd of friendly horses — they loved being petted! 🐴
The grass could use a little mowing, but it wasn’t a big issue. The water and sewer hookups were a bit farther from the power connection, though that also wasn’t a major problem. Overall, a positive experience — just better to arrive before dark! 🌙

This is a very quiet spot, it's not crowded at all, I didn't see another human the whole time. Lots of horses, I was hoping to see the donkey, but it never surfaced. The water appears to be well water, but it's clean, no smell, no issues. Very nice place.

Tim’s site is breathtaking! It truly is beautiful, peaceful, private, and feels like an island getaway. Reservations were easy and straightforward. Tim is a great communicator and was immediately responsive to questions and requests. Our 2 dogs love the huge free-range, fenced yard. They had a great time running around and we also enjoyed walking the yard. It is beautifully landscaped and very lush. We had a really wonderful time and are already planning our return to this gem!

The views, fishing, and kayak/canoe activities were awesome here! Our kids already want to go back and the dogs really enjoyed running around freely in the fenced in property. 1 night at Almost Heaven Acres
Waking up to say "hay" to 7-8 horses was pretty damn cool, including 4 young ones. You stay on the side where the grass is greener so they loved getting the good stuff from us.
Overall, just very peaceful, quiet, private, and surrounded by nature. A few box turtles walking around. All that is stuff we like. It is not for everybody, but we loved it.
