This 16-acre RV camping spot is a hidden gem, surrounded by the stunning Ocala National Forest. The hosts are amazing and incredibly welcoming, always making you feel at home. The property is beautifully maintained, and it’s the third time we've booked here – we absolutely love it! Enjoy scenic trails for dirt biking, or hiking the Florida Trail. You can visit the nearby Salt Springs, known for its crystal-clear springs. With rivers and lakes close by. A perfect mix of nature, adventure, and warm hospitality!

I had an amazing experience at this campsite and would highly recommend it to others! The open space was perfect—our two big dogs had a blast running around freely. The mushrooms were delicious and very reasonably priced. Plus, the location is fantastic, with several beautiful springs nearby. Tammy and her husband were wonderful hosts, making our entire spring break truly special. Can’t wait to come back!

Most excellent, easy to to get in host waited on the road for us . lead us in , full hookup, in the morning gave us a tour of the farm, our dog had the best time, she didn't want to leave after 2 days. We had the place to our selfs . ok no cell or internet but we like that. Next trip that will be a last stop, the shrooms we bought 1/2 were eaten on the road , not enough to share when we got home.

Was nice place to stay. I stayed a few nights seen 2 rockets shoot off. You are close to the space center and to cocoa beach. But it's just outside the busy area so you don't hear traffic or any other noise. Has water hookup which is nice. Few bugs but nothing unexpected or overwhelming. I would definitely stay another night. Also a plus there is a home in the circle with art cars and a fun lit up house at night. Everyone I met including the host were very nice. I might try to move to the area I was very impressed. Thank you again.

It’s a really basic parking spot, but the price is right for what it is. We were able to park no problem and enjoyed our chat with the other camper there. There is a sharp corner coming in to the neighborhood, but with a swing wide our truck and 32’ camper made the corner. The ground is pretty uneven so bring your levelers and chocks. We didn’t use the spigot since we had water on board so I can’t speak to that. The best part was how close it was to the launch site! We went to a nearby bridge to watch the first launch of the night around 7pm; and we didn’t realize there was a second one happening the same night at 10:30 until our whole camper started shaking with the noise! We ran outside and caught the tail end of the launch from right outside our door. So cool! The biggest downside of the site is the bug situation- there’s a water filled trench at the rear of the property and I’m sure it produces lots of bugs. Additionally there were lots of stray cats around and therefore cat poo in the sandy spots. Overall we were happy with the spot for one night and the price!

I booked both spots and my daughter and her family camped with my husband and I. We had a wonderful trip. It was very close to Salt Springs and we had a fun day with the grand daughters playing in the water. Shan gave us a tour of his mushroom operation and we bought some delicious oyster mushrooms that we sauted for dinner. There’s lots of trails to hike close to the campsite without having to leave the site. I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants a relaxing, clean, friendly and fun experience. We had a great experience at Golden Oaks farm. I highly recommend taking a shot trip to Odd Todd’s for some “fresh from their farm” Mexican food. We bought some delicious fresh mushrooms that Shan grows personally at Golden Oaks and the detailed tour of his growing operation was one of the highlights of our trip. The site is very quiet, peaceful and well kept. I look forward to another trip to Tammy and Shan’s special farm in our near future! Thank you

We made a last-minute booking and arrived after dark. The host was quick to respond & met us in the driveway, escorted us to our pad, showed us what we needed to know and then left us to it. Place was extremely peaceful and spacious. Only there for one night, but a very enjoyable stay: would absolutely recommend & return if in the area.

This was a perfect spot to bring our side by side to try out a new toy. We were so close to the trail system. At night, it’s absent of light pollution so completely dark for stargazing and a big campfire. We rented both spots for full privacy and no chance of other dogs disturbing us or our big boy. So glad we did as the #2 hookup is right up next to #1. The host was welcoming and waiting for us to arrive, and led us to the 2 spots. The hosts don’t live on site, so very private at night, but they have a working mushroom farm feet away so we saw the owner working and walking around the property both weekend mornings. Very friendly folks!

If you are lucky, and there is availability, make sure to pick up some beautiful organic mushrooms at the farm. Do note that T-Mobile has zero coverage in the area.

Beautiful spot overlooking Lake Weir in The Ocala National Forest. Watch the otters play and count the many different birds that make this lake their home. Treat yourself to incredible sunsets every night as the sun disappears into the water and enjoy the awesome reflection of the moon as it sets on the lake. (Check the moonrise/moonset tables to see if there is a visible moon during your intended stay - it really is an incredible sight). We have an amazing outdoor shower, with hot and cold running water, overlooking the lake. The extra large soaking bathtub is available for your use for $20 per stay if there are not other campers at the time due to us only having one bathroom available. Great for relaxing, bathing kids, or a very romantic evening. Canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak available for your use at no charge. You can paddle to nearby Gator Joe's which is an awesome spot on the lake for great food, drinks, and live music. Electric and water hookup (garden hose) both sites. RV 30 amp electric hookup, as well as regular 15 amp electric hookup on hilltop site. Many trees on the property makes it tricky for large vehicles to maneuver, therefor we have a limit of 25 feet including tow vehicle. Dockside site has 15 amp hookup. We do have an adapter to connect to 30 amp hookup. It is closer to the house and bathroom than site 2 and has more shade and easy access to the dock. Pontoon boat rentals are available down the road. Being on the lake we do have mosquitos but they are mostly an issue at dusk and dawn for about an hour but we are out in nature so insect encounters of all kinds are to be expected. If there is a nice breeze, which is often the case, you can enjoy the sunset from the rocker loveseat at the edge of our dock. We also have citronella torches available for rent. We also offer a large bundle of firewood for $10. Campers MUST check in by 10 pm. We recommend arriving during daylight whenever possible. It is important you understand that our property is not in the wilderness. We are NOT a commercial campground. We have a couple of acres in a residential area and there are homes near the campsite. That being said, you will have complete privacy at your campsites as the two sites are on opposite ends of the property and you will not see me at all other than when you check in, unless you desire to do so. Both campsites face the lake however, and you may see some fisherman out there from time to time, but I guarantee you will see much more wildlife than people. Each site has its own fire pit. Our guests love this place because of the lake, the incredible sunsets and moonsets over the lake, and all the incredible wildlife we have here, as you can see from the reviews. Well behaved pets are welcome off leash as long as they are supervised and don't bother other campers. They are not allowed on the porches. Please pick up any mess that is in the path of foot traffic. There is a $20 pet fee per pet per stay. Add it under extras. Pet sitting is available for an additional charge. I'm a professional photographer with 30 years of experience. Please inquire if you are interested in having your portrait made at this incredible location. We are 20 minutes from world famous Silver Springs, 20 minutes from Ocala Drive-In Movie Theater that usually shows great films for both kids and adults, and 20 minutes from the Santos Trailhead that offers world class biking and hiking paths. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the people that come here that have not read the description, expecting a wilderness campground and choose to leave a negative review based on that but everyone that has read the description has loved it here and many return.

This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

It’s pretty basic space without a lot of amenities (yet), but we know you’d love it here. Our pricing reflects our humble start and we invite you to park your RV, pop open your tent and make yourself at home. A few things you can expect… ~Wherever you decide to set up camp, we will provide a picnic table, trash can and fire pit with wood. ~We are super pet friendly so bring your furry family members and we will ensure they’re safe and comfortable as well. ~There is access to water from the main house. ~ Electricity can be provided depending on how close you set up to the house. WiFi as well. ~ We do have a chicken coop so you can expect to hear them throughout the day. ~ We are on a dead end road in a rural residential area. Super quiet! ~ Pit potty in a super cute Outhouse. ~ If you stay during the month of March, you will adore our lightening bugs! ~ Tons of mature trees so bring your hammocks. ~ We are on site and available to you when needed. Our farm is off the beaten path surrounded by mossy oaks and lots of shade. If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Pack your camping gear, tents, vans or RVs and find peace away from the traffic and everyday stress. There is plenty of nature and you can take a long stroll to clear your head. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you!
