We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead that was sold to a developer who is selling acreage from 35 - 500 acre parcels. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans are all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raised alpaca’s until recently, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We are totally off grid and enjoy life in the home my husband built using trees he cut down and milled on his sawmill. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house. We have numerous camping spots available in a small grove of Ponderosa Pines or on the plains if you want a clear view of the stars at night! A rustic outhouse is available close by as is a water hydrant. Parking is available close by.
We added the Bijou Tree House to our options a couple years ago! It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2on a queen size built in bed) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute but tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away.
We love sharing our story, our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come Camp and relax. Watch and listen to the birds; the deer and antelope really do play here. Just this morning two little fawns were chasing each other through the gully. We are blessed with beautiful sunrises and sunsets; stars at night and an added bonus is our Farm Store where we showcase products made from our alpaca's, and trees my husband has cut down... !

No running water Nov thru April. Plenty of Potable water provided for cooking, cleaning and hygiene. Escape the city and find this magical semi-off-grid treasure. Treehouse Magic sits on an 80-acre horse ranch 6476 feet above Sea level (+ 20 feet for the treehouse!!) Built by hand, with love, and a little help from our friends over a 4-year period. Treehouse Magic is built around PAL an over 80+-year-old Ponderosa Pine.
This wonderful space is magical in every way! Only 300 sq. feet with an almost 1100 sq. foot deck, including the covered gnome room. The upstairs bedroom is a full mattress (14" gel mattress). There is also a fold-out couch to sleep 1. The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Gnome room in the "pop-up" tent and cots (during the Summer months). We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... (a little tutorial is needed) a sink and a trough step-in tub/shower with rain head. Wifi- Roku on inside TV as well or just the calm of beautiful nature!
Please note: This is a real treehouse!! Running water will be turned off from Nov-April (except for warm days and we can turn on for a short time). We will be sure you have plenty of potable water for drinking and using.

*Absolutely NO candles or open fires, please!! There is a propane firepit.

*Please pick up after your dogs, there are poo-poo bags provided in Treehouse. Please do not leave the dogs unattended EVER in the treehouse, on the deck. Please use dog kennel if needed.

What a charming comfortable cabin! Set in a nestle of old ponderosa pines with a nice patio to let the breeze and the birdsong wash away the stresses of the city. We were greeted with a gift bag of bottled water and homemade cookies upon arrival and later the hosts had a six pack of farm fresh eggs for us. Beautiful views of Pikes Peak, Mount Evans, and Longs Peak were interrupted only by Western Meadowlarks, Sparrows and Broad Tailed Hawks. Definitely a place to return to!

This place was beautiful and comfortable. Far enough away from the noise of the city but close enough to drive to the places we wanted to go. Our host was very helpful and very communicative with us. Felt safe the whole time and our stay was just what we needed after hiking the manitou incline!! Ten out of ten recommend!!

This place is magic. It really is. We rented it for my Son's 12th birthday, the boys enjoyed it. My Daughter fell in love with it! She counted the gnomes, the ants, she enjoyed lounging in the hammocks, the peacefulness of the place is stunning. The stars at night were so good. Horses, goats, great hosts. My husband and I had a really great night at the sunshine tent! I will say, definitely don’t plan to go when it’s retold like we did. The host provides a lovely propane heater, but it can only do so much. The hot tub was a wonderful sight and was very comfortable and clean. The space has a small, private fence around it which makes it that much nicer. We had a very sweet cat visitor with us all night snuggling up to keep warm. Would absolutely recommend!

We stayed in the treehouse last night to watch the Geminid meteor shower, and it was absolutely perfect. We specifically chose this spot after looking on the Dark Sky Map for a location within an hour of Denver that had very low light pollution and the 360° view of the sky did not disappoint. The large picture window in the treehouse was the hook so our little kids were able to stay warm inside while still having a great view of the meteor shower.
The hosts were incredibly sweet and had everything warm and ready for us when we arrived. The treehouse was well stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner, and there was a great space for the kids to do crafts and play board games we brought along.
In the morning, we got to spend time with the alpacas, who were so friendly—even with our 3-year-old running around and petting them nonstop. That was a huge highlight for everyone.
We will absolutely keep this place on our list for all future astronomical events and can’t wait to come back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This Magical Treehouse and land were everything my family needed and more!! We could not have asked for a more pleasant and peaceful retreat! Marni gave us a rundown of the facilities, and we couldn't have imagined a better stay. From the whimsical hand-crafted beauty of the actual treehouse around "Pal", to the amenities (including games/fun, cooking utilities/supplies, Wi-Fi/TV accommodations and plenty of warmth and cozy blankets and pillows, even full working bathroom facilities), down to the quiet starlit nights including a fire pit on the patio to keep warm while star-gazing! My son especially loved visiting and interacting with the extremely affectionate and friendly free roaming animals we got to interact with and became especially fond of, even giving our own little names to each, as they greeted us kindly several times each day. Only complaint was that we couldn't afford a longer stay!.. as each of us were sad to leave and say goodbye to the relaxing and intimate natured feel of the place, and our very welcoming and accommodating hosts. We felt secure even in the peaceful darkness around us knowing the host's dogs were looking out for us into the night. We will definitely be returning next season for a longer stay if welcomed, as Marni/Frank were on call for any questions or needs, we had throughout the stay, and were exceptionally kind to us as well. Thank you for such a pleasant experience to get us "away from it all" and the delight of bringing nature closer! XOX

We had such a wonderful stay! The host, Marni, was incredibly kind and welcoming which made us feel right at home.
The camper was clean, comfortable, and really adorable. It is whimsical with bright colors and a happy mood. I really love that the camper has running water, a bathroom with shower, fridge, and heat! The nights were getting cool during our stay and the heat made us so comfortable.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful. With pretty views, and the added joy of seeing horses, goats, and alpacas right on site. It was peaceful, fun, and such a unique experience to be surrounded by the animals. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a special camping trip!

Candice and George thought of everything. This site was lovely and so cozy. Adding on the chance to meet the herd was the absolute cherry on top- we’re now so invested in this place, we want to come back and volunteer! Their land is beautiful, the animals are sweet, and they even treated our pup like their own, offering to take her on a walk while we met the less dog-friendly mules. This was exactly the getaway we needed. I was so relaxed that I even fell asleep one afternoon while reading in the hammock. My boyfriend and I came home feeling so full of gratitude, and my pup came home exhausted from all the fun new sights & smells. I truly can’t say enough great things about Candice & George and their wonderful home!

I found the tree house to be a perfect getaway from the city. Very peaceful.
Everything you need and nothing you don’t. The hosts were super nice.
As everyone was headed west for Labor Day I thought I’d go In the other direction for some peace. Glad I did.
Saw plenty of alpacas too.

It really is just as good as a high-end hotel but all the right kinds of disconnects. No screens, WiFi is there but you’ll forget about connecting.
