Driving a short while on a dirt path leads into a nice area surrounded by many willow trees of the area, around a turn on the dirt path opens up to a large open area. The open area consists of fine soil, lots of dry grass during the winter and and a dry creek at the edge of the property. This area is great for camping and listed activities. The nearby town has much much more to do in nature featuring fishing, camping, horseback riding and hiking. The property is on the other side of the creek. Be careful of spiky ground plants. My husband and I traveled from Maryland to Colorado in our RV. He is an Army veteran from New York and I am originally from Colorado. I haven’t been home for Thanksgiving in years and this trip was especially meaningful because I was able to spend both my birthday and Thanksgiving with my family. It was truly such a blessing. This May we officially become empty nesters with our youngest of four heading off to college so being able to come home this year felt even more special. We had a wonderful stay. It felt so nice to be home again. The view of the mountains filled my heart with so much love and joy. The blue sky was absolutely stunning and the night sky lit up with incredible stars. I even saw a shooting star. It was breathtaking. JC and his wife were incredibly accommodating and generous to allow us to occupy their space during a holiday and I am forever grateful for their kindness. The location is perfect and makes it easy to get to everything. From one Coloradan to another, thank you so much. ❤️

Lovely place! The bathrooms were clean and you can’t beat a hot shower. They had several bbq grills for guest to use. It was nice to be so close to Royal Gorge. Don’t pass up your change to stay here, you won’t regret.

Perfect spot for the night. You’re literally in front of Red Rock Canyon, nice surprise to wake up to! Felt safe. There was a street light on all night, but didn’t bother us too much with blackout curtains. Would recommend.

It's a nice quiet spot off the beaten path. Dan is a great host. This isn't an RV park with full hook-ups or anything. But there's a nice view of the surrounding hills and a cattle pen with cows and some chickens. A great place to park and take a break for a night or two.

It was a great place to sleep for the night. Definitely felt safe. I travel with my dog who is alert at every noise. I was aware of the tour busses on the weekends…apparently my dog was not. They were great! If you are a person who travels alone this is an awesome place to stay for a wonderful price. If we are coming through again I will absolutely pick this spot.

We brought out wolf pup 16bhsbl travel trailer out to camps the site is huge with plenty of space for 2-3 other families. The directions were easy to follow, however there was one sign that was missing as per the written instructions. One of our party members missed the gate because of the missing sign. The entrance to the camp sign was a little rutted out and you should feel comfortable off roading with a trailer.

Great little spot to camp for a bit. Dan is a great guy and was very helpful to me when I had some issues with my rv. Dan went put of his way to be helpful and offer options for me to get my rig fixed. I will definitely return. The view is great. Spots are near the road, but it is quiet and lots of animals to keep you company and views to calm you.
