You may see the occasional vehicle or hiker on the road or hear someone doing some yard work, but it is generally very quiet and secluded at the yurt. Our neighbors have chosen to live in Marble for its privacy and tranquillity. Please show them respect by keeping the noise down and leaving them be. If you have questions or need help, call us from the yurt landline. Winter camping experience/equipment and a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle with severe snow-rated tires and chains may be required to access the yurt Oct-April. During large snow events, driving to the yurt may be impossible in any vehicle. Skiing to the yurt may be an option Dec - Feb. Gear sleds are available at the yurt for your use.

Remote yet accessible by county road, the property is a few miles from Hartsel, where you'll find a general store and saloon, and the other historic railroad settlements of Park County. Per Hipcamp and local zoning, you may not relieve yourself outdoors; you must be in a vehicle or privacy tent. There is a fire ring. If you intend to make a camp fire, YOU MUST LET ME KNOW so I can call the Hartsel Fire Department. They will then tell me if there's a burn ban in place and I will relay that info to you. This must be done no later than 24 hours before you plan to burn. Hipcamp will sometimes turn on my fire ban based on data from the National Weather Service. The only way to know the full situation is for me to call. If you see some expensively outfitted motorcyclists cruise by, they're from the Rawhyde Training Camp up the road so give them a wave!

What a wonderful visit to the sweetest Cabin imaginable. Hartsell is a darling little town with lots to do within a short drive… Hot Springs, a drive-in, movie theater, great restaurants and outdoor activities. The house was exactly as pictured with wood for the fireplace, a well stocked kitchen, a cozy bed, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and absolutely stunning views. We had an incredible time and would go back in a heartbeat!

This was our second time camping at tent site 5, and it was amazing both times! Right on the river so we could hear the water running all night, which helped drown out the noise of the road. The only downside was they removed the Porta potty, but otherwise we will be back for sure!

Weekend Trip to Little Buffalo Cabin

Little Buffalo Cabin was so cute and cozy and perfect for a weekend away. It was clean and well-appointed, with great amenities and amazing views. Plenty of space for our kiddos and dog to run around outside and say hi to the horses, walking distance to the general store and to some of the best pizza, and stocked up with wood for the stove (which we didn’t need to use). We had a great stay!

1 night at Monarch Spur RV Park and Campground

The campground has lots of great spots and amenities (bathrooms, showers washer/dryer and kids stuff). Spot 6 is beautiful!

comfortable spot with all the basics like restrooms with showers and an office with basic items. Friendly folks checked me in. Highly recommended.

Site was great! Really beautiful to hear the water the whole night. Was helpful that they sold firewood for us to purchase. And the sites weren’t too close to each other so you had perfect privacy
