Fetlock Circle is surrounded by mountains, ridges, and forested slopes with panoramic views. The property is one mile off Teller 1. The driveway is a gentle 200-foot incline leading to the campsite along the east side of the barn. From there, you can see Dome Rock—a massive pink granite monolith—and Pikes Peak. To the north, there are beautiful rock outcroppings; southwest views include Mt. Pisgah and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Mount Crystal rises in the west. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, and the low light pollution makes for incredible stargazing. On the western slope, you’ll find a meditation tree where you’re welcome to sit and reflect. A picnic table is also provided for your use. Evergreen Station, located at the corner of the entrance to Ranch Resorts, offers Wi-Fi, gas, propane, and sundries. Some of my favorite nearby sights and activities: • Florissant Fossil Beds – Petrified Forest Loop & Ponderosa Loop • Gold Belt Tour Scenic & Historic Byway near Cripple Creek • Wolf Sanctuary off Twin Rocks Rd in Florissant • Paradise Cove (Guffey) – a swimming hole and cliff-diving spot • Mueller State Park (about 16 mi) – wildlife, hiking, and meadows • Eleven Mile State Park (8 mi) – boating, fishing, and lakeside picnics • Adeline Hornbek Homestead – the story of this remarkable 19th-century pioneer woman inspired me to build my own retreat here. Her resilience is reflected in the fortitude of my modern-day homestead. The property is still under development, so for now, amenities are limited to those listed. More will be added by Spring 2026.

Mountain Exhale Stop

4. Mountain Exhale Stop

33mi from Franktown · 1 site · RV · Evergreen, CO
Welcome to Mountain Exhale Stop — a quiet reset in the Colorado foothills. Tucked among tall pines under open sky, this private RV pad is a peaceful pause on your journey — a place to breathe, rest, and reconnect with nature. Whether you’re passing through or exploring the foothills, this spot offers calm, space, and fresh mountain air. The concrete pad fits RVs, vans, and trailers up to 25 feet max. The pad slopes downward, so leveling blocks are required. Due to the layout and approach, travel trailers must back in — there is no turnaround space. There are a few gentle turns on arrival; drive slowly and you’ll settle in easily. This is a self-contained, pack-in/pack-out site designed for guests comfortable with a simple, nature-based stay. There is no bathroom, water fill, or dumping station on site. Power hookup may be available — please confirm before arrival. Generators are not allowed. Days here are slow, quiet, and grounding. Nights are still, dark, and star-filled. You might see elk, deer, or fox wander through (maybe a lucky bear!) — part of the beauty of staying close to the wild. For safety, the driveway entrance is monitored with cameras, but there are no cameras at the pad — your privacy is respected. Pets are welcome and must be leashed outdoors. Please clean up after them so this space stays beautiful for others. Quiet hours are 9 PM to 7 AM — this is a place to unwind, not a party site. Expect cool pine-scented mornings, peaceful sunsets, and the kind of quiet that helps you sleep deeply. This stop is ideal for travelers who appreciate simplicity, nature, open sky, and respectful stillness. If you’re craving mountain air, gentle solitude, and a safe place to land — Mountain Exhale Stop is here for your pause, your breath, and your reset.
