Come experience the high alpine! Our bunkhouse and lot are conveniently located just 1/2 mile from both the St. Mary's Glacier and the Yankee Hill ATV/OHV trailheads. The Arapaho National Forest with tons of hiking is also just 200 yds away! The lot is open and spacious. It faces south and west for maximum sun exposure. Enjoy mountain views of Grey's and Torrey's Peaks right from your lawnchair! Come have a picnic or have a campfire under the stars. The space The house is located on an acre of land in Black Hawk, CO which is about an hour outside of Denver just past the Golden Gate Canyon State Park. The surrounding area has amazing Mountain Views and you can drive to the town of Black Hawk for dinner/Casinos in about 20 minutes (depending on the weather), to Rollinsville in about 20 minutes in the other direction, or to El Dora in about 30 minutes. Given that it takes about 20 minutes to get to any neighboring small town, note that the house location is remote. It is located in a residential neighborhood where most houses are on an acre of land. Because of that, sound travels very easily so while it is usually quiet, you can easily hear dogs barking or music. Guests love that this space is PRIVATE on an entire acre of land without any street noise. Enjoy this beautiful home without worrying about where or when you have to be somewhere. Black Hawk - have your own private space and hot tub & escape some of the madness of staying at the casinos by opting to stay at Little Gem Lodge! It's an awesome outdoor enthusiast location in any season because of its proximity to the mountains and state parks. You will have access to the entire house. It’s two stories with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level and one bedroom/one bathroom on the second level. Other things to note Dirt roads lead to the property that require at a minimum an AWD or 4x4 vehicle. Pet fee must be added under "Extras".

This home was the coziest and most relaxing place to stay ever!!! 🥰Such happy and warm vibes all around even staying on a 40 degree weekend!!! The wood burning stove was so amazing and kept the house so warm! There was even firewood available!!! 😇I brought my own but it was awesome there was some extra! Me and my girlfriend cooked some delicious meals in the adorable, spacious, and well stocked kitchen! It was the most amazing birthday getaway and my girlfriend was so pleased as well! Thank you Lauren for hosting such a wonderful and beautiful home to the Hipcamp/ Airbnb community ☺️ we will 100% be back!!! Our little chiweenie, Mabel absolutely loved the home too! She felt right at home and loved to explore the front yard and sit on the cute back porch and sunbathe. Mabel will want to return for another trip as well 🥰🐾💜

Overall great experience! House is very cute/ cozy and easy to access from I-70. Once we got the fire going inside, it was very warm; firewood/lighter fluid was provided. Was pet friendly and the town very quaint. Already planning another longer visit!

Surprising little shed turned into a getaway space. Appreciated the potable water inside and kitchette. This may be a work in progress, but insulating more walls and the floor would help. Lots of outdoor space. Everything was clean and easy to use.

This was a good location for our purposes. The access was easy and even though there was lots of rain, and a little roadway washout in the morning, it was easily passable and not a worry for us. The tiny accommodations are appropriately appointed and accurately advertised.

I absolutely loved Marion's fishing hut. It was perfect and I loved all the touches. The TV, the small refrigerator and microwave, little coffee maker, and all the utensils, plates, cups and portable electric hot plates to cook. There is a wash basin to wash and to wash dishes. Water was provided, which was awesome. They also provided movies to watch on the TV and the the trundle bed was perfect and comfortable, as well as, the pillow, and the blanket was so warm. It looked like a little cottage with the framed windows, which opened from the inside with little blinds, and when you would open the little windows, there was a nice breeze. I didn't mind the roosters across the way they were funny, and I took pictures of the beautiful horses also across the way. It was quiet. The little fishing hut is surrounded by pine trees and Aspen trees. The little outhouse was so cute and clean, also with nice touches. And the lid to the toilet was painted with Aspen trees!! Whoever painted it is a great artist. I highly recommend this little hut for me and my 2 dogs, it was perfect. There's also a picnic table and chairs outside and a water spigot. I will definitely be back to this little piece of mountain paradise. 👏🏞⛰️

Definitely a nice place to stay at. Clean and simple. Has a TV, DVD player with a good selection of movies, mini fridge, microwave, as well as a mini heater. Has a lot of areas within a short drive to see beautiful sunsets. Has very spotty signal, but thats what makes places like these nice, you have to disconnect and enjoy nature. Definitely recommend staying here. Do note, it does get cold during the nights so prepare accordingly, the blanket and heater was good enough for me.

Weekend Trip to Mountain A-Frame 30 min Ski El Dora

We had an amazing weekend get away at this property. We even saw a momma and baby moose right outside the side deck near the hot tub! We were very comfortable and enjoyed our time here. Melinda was a great host and checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed. My husband commented on how comfortable the master bed was. I was worried that going to Black Hawk with kids may not be enjoyable. But there happened to be the county fair the weekend we went. We also took the kids to the Hidee Mine tour.

Great little spot! The neighbors were super friendly, with horses and chickens across the road. The cabin is a small hut, perfect for a couple and two dogs to sleep comfortably. The trail head is in walking distance with a beautiful hike. Lots to do and explore in the area. We really enjoyed our weekend get away! Thank you so much!

Staying at Lauren's little Victorian-style house in Silver Plume was a perfect stop on our cross-country trip! The house is clean, cozy and convenient, with a comfy bed (two, actually, but we only slept in one), laundry, TV, and a full kitchen. We chatted with Lauren's partner, who was very warm. Silver Plume is a tiny and beautiful town. We enjoyed walking around and everyone we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We got some great sandwiches at an excellent local spot called Silver Plume Provisions. Lauren's place, and the town in general, were both dog-friendly, which was important to us. All in all an excellent stay and we will be returning!

Weekend Trip to Marian’s Fishing Hut

The space is quiet (minus the roosters on the property across the street but not at all bothersome!) and well kept. They are in the process of upgrading the cabin and adding some nice touches. Even the outhouse is done really well! There is walkable access to the national forest right around the corner. There is a grill, mini fridge, microwave and dishware. Plenty of potable water accessible. The hosts are wonderful. We will definitely return.

I love this place! Absolutely peaceful and all to yourself. The place is spacious and has comfy bed. Although I hit my head 😆. My favorite spot was the secluded swing, drinking morning tea and basking in the sun and stars was highlights of my trip. The place has little needed essentials such as gas grill with propane, paper towels and cleaning supplies. Although place doesn’t have water, we bought our portable sink. The portable toilet on site was clean. Oh yea, the place has these big windows right in the front with another beautiful view. The kitchen set for 2 sits right in front of window. Although not best weather we still hiked the trail right behind the house. I can say more but Anyone should not second guess on this place. We definitely coming back!
