There is also a mowed section to use that is 21’x85’ for you to stretch out on. Easy back in space with loads of room to turn around. Horse back riding trails near by. Welcome to our charming 2-acre farm nestled in East Boulder, just minutes from town - near walking trails, a bike park, shopping, restaurants. Personally, I consider our field a pitstop on your way to or from the mountains… a good place to pause and restock. Plenty of folks stay for multiple nights, but I don’t think it’s a “destination” so to speak. We don’t have any amenities / facilities, save for a fire ring and all the wood you can burn. We don’t have much shade, WiFi, water, a toilet, or electricity… so please keep that in mind BEFORE you make a reservation. But we do have chickens! Fresh eggs available every morning. First come first serve at the coop. ** Hens are broody at the moment, so no fresh eggs are available. Sorry. :( THE GOOD: *Easy in and out location *Most affordable rates in all of Boulder. *Beautiful view of the mountains. *Summertime creek on the property. *Fresh eggs!!! *Tintypes! *Community campfire with free firewood THE BAD: *Daytime road noise (pretend ocean waves??). *Limited shade. *Maximum stay of 4 nights. *Total RV length 35-40 feet - Truck AND Trailer - due to a steep and winding entrance and exit. *No amenities / facilities. We can handle RVs up to 35-40 feet in TOTAL LENGTH - TRUCK PLUS TRAILER. This is important. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep ramp to get in and out. If you are a nervous driver, perhaps choose another place to rest your head. No designated spots. Please feel free to park anywhere you’d like, while leaving enough room for other campers. It is flattest along the fence by the pond - leveling boards are stacked up in the field to borrow. Please note there is no access to the pond itself. It’s our neighbor’s property. We've got Tintype Portraits! I am a Wet Plate Photographer specializing in 1800’s antique metal portraits made of silver. A free night stay is included in the price of every portrait. Non-aggressive dogs are welcome but must be leashed if they pose a nuisance or danger to the chickens. The chickens will not run from your dogs and are therefor easy to kill. Please don’t let that happen!!! We are indeed the cheapest Hipcamp in the area, and our goal is to remain as affordable as we possible can for Boulder. Alternatively, there is a $22 place up near Loveland, a $36 farm in Longmont, and a van-only spot in Evergreen for $33… The local homeless shelter is also an option if you are car camping. No joke, it is wonderful. More like an hostel than a homeless shelter. And they have facilities!! Folks do it all the time if the shelter has the space that night. Showers, WiFi, even food. It’s right next to the Police station, so fairly safe. The streets aren’t level, but neither is our field! Great for vans, not so great for larger RVs or trailers. Our family-owned noncommercial ranch/campground is nestled against the Raspberry Butte hillside and near the Front Range Mountains on the West side of Highway I-25. It is 51 acres of rolling hills, Ponderosa Pine, and Douglas Fir Trees. Our property extends halfway up Raspberry Butte therefore there are lots of large rocks on our property. It is a working ranch with several horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs. WE ARE EXPECTING BABY GOATS AND A FOAL IN APRIL 2024. It is our goal to constantly work towards improving our property. On our property you will see an enclosure with Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, ducks, and two donkeys. You can enter the enclosure by appointment only. Our eight-stall barn is where we feed our horses and raise our baby goats, chicks, and foals. We offer our hip campers an opportunity to learn how to care for our animals; horseback rides in a round pen; and a dump station. Just sign up at the time you book your stay under EXTRAS. Thirty acres of our property are fenced for the horses and located directly behind the campsites. In addition, we have lots of wildlife including but not limited to: Deer, Elk, Coyotes, Bobcats, Wild Turkeys, Mountain Lions, Snakes, and Bears. We are approximately 2 miles from the town of Larkspur between Spruce Mountain Road and Perry Park Road. (Please note Google Maps will try and send you to a location on Perry Park Road which is incorrect. Please refer to the map located on this website.) Due to our remote location, we have spotty Wifi. Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch. There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends. We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival typically runs between June and July. We are 10 miles from the town of Palmer Lake which has fishing, kayaking, and several restaurants. Spruce Mountain hiking trails are 2-3 miles away. We are approximately 40 miles north of Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, and Manitou Springs. We are approximately 40 miles south of Denver and all of its attractions. Campers will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability when camping with us. Agritourism. Farmland west of Berthoud, Colorado, usually planted in corn. We enjoy an ever-changing view of the Rocky Mountain front range, with Longs Peak being most prominent. There is a historic barn on the property (not near the camping site) and lots of places to go for a walk. Beautiful views of Longs Peak and the Rocky Mountains. 7 miles to Carter Lake, 33 miles to Estes Park, 20 miles to Fort Collins, 27 miles to Boulder. Our home is completely off the grid, so there is no extra power or water. Tents are welcome, as well as RVs, pickups, vans, and cars. Rustic. NO OPEN FIRES Site #1 is on the edge of a hayfield. It has a picnic table. It can accommodate vehicles or tents. Limited shade at this site. Site #2 is on the far west edge of the hayfield. It also has a picnic table and chairs. ***We are not able to offer refunds for bad weather. The weather in Colorado can change hourly. ***This is a working farm with trucks and tractors coming and going and pivot irrigation systems turning on and off during growing season. ***Dogs must be kept on a leash when other campers are present. We are 15 minutes from Longmont, 8 minutes from Loveland, 45+ minutes to Estes Park (depending on traffic). We are about 12-15 minutes off of I-25 and about 1 mile from Hwy 287.

There are many popular and diverse activity sites less than an hour away. Our family-owned noncommercial ranch/campground is nestled against the Raspberry Butte hillside and near the Front Range Mountains on the West side of Highway I-25. It is 51 acres of rolling hills, Ponderosa Pine, and Douglas Fir Trees. Our property extends halfway up Raspberry Butte therefore there are lots of large rocks on our property. It is a working ranch with several horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs. WE ARE EXPECTING BABY GOATS AND A FOAL IN APRIL 2024. It is our goal to constantly work towards improving our property. On our property you will see an enclosure with Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, ducks, and two donkeys. You can enter the enclosure by appointment only. Our eight-stall barn is where we feed our horses and raise our baby goats, chicks, and foals. We offer our hip campers an opportunity to learn how to care for our animals; horseback rides in a round pen; and a dump station. Just sign up at the time you book your stay under EXTRAS. Thirty acres of our property are fenced for the horses and located directly behind the campsites. In addition, we have lots of wildlife including but not limited to: Deer, Elk, Coyotes, Bobcats, Wild Turkeys, Mountain Lions, Snakes, and Bears. We are approximately 2 miles from the town of Larkspur between Spruce Mountain Road and Perry Park Road. (Please note Google Maps will try and send you to a location on Perry Park Road which is incorrect. Please refer to the map located on this website.) Due to our remote location, we have spotty Wifi. Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch. There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends. We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival typically runs between June and July. We are 10 miles from the town of Palmer Lake which has fishing, kayaking, and several restaurants. Spruce Mountain hiking trails are 2-3 miles away. We are approximately 40 miles north of Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, and Manitou Springs. We are approximately 40 miles south of Denver and all of its attractions. Campers will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability when camping with us. Welcome to our charming 2-acre farm nestled in East Boulder, just minutes from town - near walking trails, a bike park, shopping, restaurants. Personally, I consider our field a pitstop on your way to or from the mountains… a good place to pause and restock. Plenty of folks stay for multiple nights, but I don’t think it’s a “destination” so to speak. We don’t have any amenities / facilities, save for a fire ring and all the wood you can burn. We don’t have much shade, WiFi, water, a toilet, or electricity… so please keep that in mind BEFORE you make a reservation. But we do have chickens! Fresh eggs available every morning. First come first serve at the coop. ** Hens are broody at the moment, so no fresh eggs are available. Sorry. :( THE GOOD: *Easy in and out location *Most affordable rates in all of Boulder. *Beautiful view of the mountains. *Summertime creek on the property. *Fresh eggs!!! *Tintypes! *Community campfire with free firewood THE BAD: *Daytime road noise (pretend ocean waves??). *Limited shade. *Maximum stay of 4 nights. *Total RV length 35-40 feet - Truck AND Trailer - due to a steep and winding entrance and exit. *No amenities / facilities. We can handle RVs up to 35-40 feet in TOTAL LENGTH - TRUCK PLUS TRAILER. This is important. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep ramp to get in and out. If you are a nervous driver, perhaps choose another place to rest your head. No designated spots. Please feel free to park anywhere you’d like, while leaving enough room for other campers. It is flattest along the fence by the pond - leveling boards are stacked up in the field to borrow. Please note there is no access to the pond itself. It’s our neighbor’s property. We've got Tintype Portraits! I am a Wet Plate Photographer specializing in 1800’s antique metal portraits made of silver. A free night stay is included in the price of every portrait. Non-aggressive dogs are welcome but must be leashed if they pose a nuisance or danger to the chickens. The chickens will not run from your dogs and are therefor easy to kill. Please don’t let that happen!!! We are indeed the cheapest Hipcamp in the area, and our goal is to remain as affordable as we possible can for Boulder. Alternatively, there is a $22 place up near Loveland, a $36 farm in Longmont, and a van-only spot in Evergreen for $33… The local homeless shelter is also an option if you are car camping. No joke, it is wonderful. More like an hostel than a homeless shelter. And they have facilities!! Folks do it all the time if the shelter has the space that night. Showers, WiFi, even food. Our family-owned noncommercial ranch/campground is nestled against the Raspberry Butte hillside and near the Front Range Mountains on the West side of Highway I-25. It is 51 acres of rolling hills, Ponderosa Pine, and Douglas Fir Trees. Our property extends halfway up Raspberry Butte therefore there are lots of large rocks on our property. It is a working ranch with several horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks, and dogs. WE ARE EXPECTING BABY GOATS AND A FOAL IN APRIL 2024. It is our goal to constantly work towards improving our property. On our property you will see an enclosure with Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, ducks, and two donkeys. You can enter the enclosure by appointment only. Our eight-stall barn is where we feed our horses and raise our baby goats, chicks, and foals. We offer our hip campers an opportunity to learn how to care for our animals; horseback rides in a round pen; and a dump station. Just sign up at the time you book your stay under EXTRAS. Thirty acres of our property are fenced for the horses and located directly behind the campsites. In addition, we have lots of wildlife including but not limited to: Deer, Elk, Coyotes, Bobcats, Wild Turkeys, Mountain Lions, Snakes, and Bears. We are approximately 2 miles from the town of Larkspur between Spruce Mountain Road and Perry Park Road. (Please note Google Maps will try and send you to a location on Perry Park Road which is incorrect. Please refer to the map located on this website.) Due to our remote location, we have spotty Wifi. Typically ATT, Starlink, and TMobile work best. Verizon reception can be located at certain spots around our ranch. There are three restaurants located in the town of Larkspur including pizza, Mexican food, and a pub. There is also a large park with lots of kids' play equipment. During the summer there are concerts at the park on the weekends. We are approximately 2 miles from the Colorado Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur. The Renaissance Festival typically runs between June and July. We are 10 miles from the town of Palmer Lake which has fishing, kayaking, and several restaurants. Spruce Mountain hiking trails are 2-3 miles away. We are approximately 40 miles north of Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, and Manitou Springs. We are approximately 40 miles south of Denver and all of its attractions. Campers will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability when camping with us. We purchase the land in 2010 with the hopes of building our dream home. We would come out and camp on weekends and soon built a small cabin from reclaimed materials. This cabin will be available for rental May 15th, 2023. In 2012 we were given a 12x20 ft addition to a mobile home that was repossessed to form the basis of "the cottage" that we lived in "little house on the prairie" style for 2 years while we built our home from trees my husband cut down and processed on his portable sawmill located behind the little cabin. It took 2 years to build our home with the help of our 15 year old grandson and his friend who were taking a construction technology class for their homeschooling education. Other friends and family helped on occasion and we were finally able to move in just before Christmas 2014. In 2019 we started with Hipcamp providing rustic campsites and our little cottage. in 2021 our son moved into the cottage which made it unavailable for campers so this past year we got another bright idea and the "Tree House" was conceived and built! It will be available starting May 1, 2023! Come enjoy the incredible view from this little house in the trees! Queen sized bed, camp chef propane stove (outdoors) and tiny wood burning stove to take off the morning chill! A new rustic camping cabin with a small deck is coming soon that will sleep 3-4. The views of Pikes Peak are awesome! A small 10x12 2 story barn style cabin with a deck (fire pit - weather permitting) that we are offering as a community space especially if the weather is bad! (It boasts a lift up side that will provide shade from the sun!). Horse Shoe Pit will be available soon as well. Enjoy the gentle humming of the alpaca's as they greet you in the mornings or whenever. Our 9 alpaca's are friendly and are very curious. The boys enjoy showing off their bluffness whenever we have guests! Come and get acquainted. We also have two guard dogs; 3 cats (kittens coming soon); one rooster, 3 chickens with baby chicks to arrivsoon! The sounds of the birds, cows in the meadow, early morning visits from the local deer and antelope herds; a star studded night sky while the trees whisper you to sleep at night .
