The Ute Lodge is now owned by Karl and Mona Maser who celebrated 20 years of ownership summer of 2019! All summer our cabins are filled with guests from all over the US as well as international travelers. Fire pit located outside cabin! WIFI access Cabin Wildflower- This cabin is our second biggest. This has 2 rooms, separated with a kitchen and full bathroom, kitchen is supplied with fridge/freezer for seasonal rentals, a washer and full kitchen utensils. WiFi access. Cabin has fire pit located outside and a usable grill! A cooler is provided in room for short term guest Cabin Rustic- This cabin is very unique and off grid! Sleeping for up 8 guest. It recently had solar electricity installed, outhouse, outdoor shower unit with hot water, (outdoor shower not available in winter moths) and WiFi! Wood burner and propane heating options. These cabins are very different in their own ways, they run on solar, but we do have a back up generator for emergency use! All our cabins have electricity! Generator will run 3 times a day in high power demand or low sunlight conditions to ensure there is always power and access to utilities. 7am-9am 12pm-2pm 6pm-8pm These cabins are great for all occasions, hunting, glamping, family occasions, party’s, wedding events, ATVS, snowmobiles, horse back riding, star glazing, hiking! you name it we can for sure cater for it!

Winter camping experience/equipment and a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle with severe snow-rated tires and chains may be required to access the yurt Oct-April. After traveling the US in our motorhome for almost 5 years my husband Scott and I know the value of a smiling face and a helping hand after a day (or week) of travel. Exploring and experiencing this amazing country, its diversity and incredible people enhanced our lives in so many ways. In mid 2017 we found out our first grandchild was on the way. Long story short we parked the RV and parked ourselves here in Paonia, CO. In December of that year, we moved onto this amazing property full time and started the long list of fix ups (the list is still long). lol We are blessed to have our two adult sons and (aforementioned) grandson living on this property with us. Our philosophy is to live in the moment as the present is the gift. Whether enjoying a sunrise or a sunset or anytime in between you’ll likely find us outside most days. In that, we love all that nature has to offer including fresh fruits and veggies, animals, beauty and fragrances. Sage View Ranch is being created with the desire to have people experience the natural rustic beauty and magic of Paonia. Scott and I look forward to meeting you :)

Campfires are allowed, but it is your responsibility to determine if there is a fire ban in effect. Firewood may be available or dead wood can be collected on the property. There is a picnic table nestled in the scrub oaks. We only rent one side and the entire property is private to you! We do have neighbors, but the property is pretty well tucked away. You may see the occasional vehicle or hiker on the road or hear someone doing some yard work, but it is generally very quiet and secluded at the yurt. Our neighbors have chosen to live in Marble for its privacy and tranquillity. Please show them respect by keeping the noise down and leaving them be. If you have questions or need help, call us from the yurt landline. Winter camping experience/equipment and a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle with severe snow-rated tires and chains may be required to access the yurt Oct-April. During large snow events, driving to the yurt may be impossible in any vehicle. Skiing to the yurt may be an option Dec - Feb. Gear sleds are available at the yurt for your use.

My partner, dogs and I absolutely loved this Yurt! In addition to the amazing view, there is so much intention in the design and layout of the place. It has a decent lawn with yard games, hammocks and a fire pit plus easy access to the exterior bathroom (which was so cozy and smelt lovely being it is a compost toilet). The Yurt itself was to well designed. All the appliances and fixtures were easy to use when following the meticulous directions in the guidebook (photos were super helpful). We had such a great time playing games and getting cozy in the yurt, eating meals on the patio amongst the mountain backdrop and also exploring Marble and hiking around to see views, waterfalls and the quarry. Definitely would go again!!

Meg and Evan checked in to make sure we were all set up for our stay and had everything really nicely laid out so we had zero questions. We are looking forward to staying again! This was such a magical spot!! We stayed in the magic bus and everything was so clean and comfy! Laurie and Scott were so kind and welcoming. If you go you must meet the lovely family of goats who will make you smile so hard! Sage view ranch is truly something out of a story book. We most definitely will back.

We loved the whole cabin experience. View from the cabin was incredible, the wood stove made me feel like I was in a movie, and the walks through the snow lined paths and roads surrounded by beautiful forest was amazing. Enjoyed cross country skiing, the snowmobile adventure provided by Welder Outfitting, and can't wait to come back in the summer.
