We loved camping at BaseCampByBo! The location and scenery was insane and we got to meet Bo himself! It was easy to find and Jarrett was incredibly helpful.
The campsite feels isolated and gives the wild camping feel whilst being not crazy far from civilization.
30 minutes from some amazing hikes in Yosemite.

I love this place! Its the first time,my and my family of 5 really love and enjoy this place,it’s super peaceful and the guy of the house really kind,🙌🏻
It is the perfect place if you want to enjoy the nature of the forest and the tranquility, I would really love to come back without thinking about it!! They have a very nice little town, If you like photography, this is a nice place for it!

Amazing host, amazing land, amazing vibe. Cannot recommend enough! About 1.5 hrs from Yosemite. Wish we had gotten here earlier to explore the rest of his property but highly recommend regardless!!

I want to start by saying that this place is pretty cool!!! Great location, great host, close to the road but nothing crazy like i read in other reviews, i was with my five year old and he absolutely loved it! The tree house was the start of the weekend. Our host greeted us and gave us a tour, then our privacy! I highly recommend this place it is relaxing and well maintained.. will definitely go back!!!

This is a great location for an overnight stay. The hosts are very accommodating and they provided insights about the property for us to make the most out of our time there. Wonderful option that I would highly recommend if you have children between the ages of 5-12 years old.

You’re basically parked in the driveway his house is up on the hill, but it wasn’t an issue. He greeted us when we got there (even though it was kind of late) and showed us around the campsite. (Games, zip line, water feature, etc) we mostly just needed a place to park and this was perfect. I would stay here again. (1.5 hr drive from the Big Oak Flat station)

We had an amazing time. At first look it seems close to the road but was not a problem at all. Matthew was great he came down and gave us some pointers on the best way to spend our time.
The kids loved it also. No bugs, no people, no problems!

Thank you so much to Jarrett for sharing his land with us. It’s beautiful, private, and well maintained. We had a rough time getting to our reservation due to some car trouble and Jarrett was very understanding and flexible with us. After an unplanned night camping elsewhere, with inconsiderate neighbors, Jarrett’s spot was a sanctuary. We slept soundly under the stars at the top of a hill with a view of endless trees. The porta potty is one of the cleanest I’ve used and the outdoor shower was absolutely refreshing and hot. The location is perfect, nearby watering holes and close to Yosemite, that we did a day of each. We loved having our dog off leash with us and meeting the camp host Bo. Overall, it was a great spot and we will be back.

Such an awesome place Jarret has! Perfect location, not too far from the park and spots in Groveland. He was a great host and was really understanding of my reactive pup I brought with me. The spot on the hill was so peaceful. So much better than being cramped with a bunch of campers at a campground. Definitely would come back.

Our stay was fabulous. Jarrett was friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to make it a great stay for our family on our son’s 18 birthday. He set up a hammock, stove, and fire for us. The spot was very private and the views were amazing. Exactly what we wanted. Having access to water (shower and wash station) and a clean outhouse was a major bonus. Perfect spot if you want to be close to Yosemite without being on top of other people camping.

Yes, the site is right next to the (very quiet) road. No, there's no bathroom.
But with those things out of the way, this is an awesome place to stay - especially with kids old enough to stay away from the road but still young enough to enjoy the play structure and zip line. There's a short walk to a Horseshoes setup, and a tiny stream runs right through the site. The kids I brought (age 8-12) had an absolute blast.
Matthew generously provided firewood, and was friendly and welcoming. We had a great stay and would return.

This was such a lovely and easy stay! I had to book last minute and Matthew was super kind and accommodating, and was responsive over text to help us with anything we needed. They even set out a hammock, chairs, and started the fire for us-- small gestures that went a long way! Matthew was also kind enough to give us some suggestions for sunset viewing and star gazing which made our night. We loved staying here and would 100% recommend it!
