Evidence of snakes lay in the loose sand of the low washes but I have never seen one. Guests must have a self-contained RV or camper van because you will need to bring everything you need, shade included. This is primitive, dry camping with no restrooms. Multiple vehicles OK when at least one is an RV equipped with a toilet available to everyone with you. Guests are welcome to pitch a tent in one of the sandy areas but much of the surface is covered with rocks. There is a concrete pad from a long gone homestead cabin that is great for tents, chairs and a bbq. I’ve put a large tree stump there to serve as a “bar” or table. Cell service is 5G and solid with a new tower just down the road. Tranquility Base is about 12 miles northeast of Joshua Tree village center much of it on unpaved roads which can be bumpy. En route you will pass several landmarks. This includes artist Simi Debah’s sculpture garden, Daniel Popper’s massive “Transmission” sculpture and the Joshua Tree Lake and Campground, site of the twice yearly Joshua Tree Music Festival. There is a concrete pad from a long gone homestead cabin that is great for tents, chairs and a bbq. I’ve put a large tree stump there to serve as a “bar” or table. Cell service is 5G and solid with a new tower just down the road. Tranquility Base is about 12 miles northeast of Joshua Tree village center much of it on unpaved roads which can be bumpy. En route you will pass several landmarks. This includes artist Simi Debah’s sculpture garden, Daniel Popper’s massive “Transmission” sculpture and the Joshua Tree Lake and Campground, site of the twice yearly Joshua Tree Music Festival. 2 nights at Serene! 15 min to Joshua Natl Park

I appreciated the privacy at David's camp. While it isn't a location for uninterrupted quietude, I found the noises of the area to be mostly unobtrusive. An ATV may rip through the vicinity later in the evening or night. That being said, I would visit again. It's a really beautiful setting. The sturdy table and fire ring make it feel like home.

We loved the Stargazer Cabin. And the fenced back yard had a super fire pit area. With bean bag chairs and a nice grill, too. Also, we drove out there in our Class C RV and they even had a 30-amp hook-up and water. Very nice surprise. We would definitely go back. We’re thinking of bringing our grandson because the property is very close to an OHV area that would be fun. All in all, it was pretty much perfect.

Weekend Trip to Magical Harrison Serenity Ranch

Vicki and her daughter were so sweet and welcoming! We had the most peaceful time and the weather was pretty great for going in December. The drive up the mountain was a bit tricky because we didn’t know what to expect, but it was much faster and easier on the way down (I have a ford fusion and my car did great!). There are restrooms and showers but they are a bit far from most of the sites, there was a porta potty close by tho:)

It felt surprisingly private because the managers take care in placing folks. They responded quickly to my questions and everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. Grateful for the kitchen w/ potable water and there's rustic shower+toilet building. Highly recommend!

The hot mineral water is incredible! We go to a lot of mineral Springs and they all have different minerals and benefits, but we found that Ron’s Hot Springs gave us the most relief out of any hot spring. My husband and I are nearly 70 with lots and lots of aches and pains, and it was amazing how it Soothe them all away. Ron is a very gracious host, very prompt and accommodating if you contact him for anything. Since you’re away from the road, it was very, very quiet and peaceful. We’re already planning our next day there.

We loved tent camping at Copper Moon! We have 3 dogs and they can be a bit anxious and barky at busy campgrounds so this quiet campsite was perfect for us. We appreciated the remote feel and the view of the nightsky was amazing. There were 3 or 4 different firepits you could chose from and plenty of areas to pitch your tent. We have already. booked a second trip! :)

My gf and I had the best time on Vicki’s land for thanksgiving weekend. It was such a treat to have amenities like a sink with warm water and flushing toilets. the land is stunning with views from every corner and fun hiking trails throughout the mountain. vicki has such great energy and made sure to welcome everyone. pumba the pig is so friendly and WILL eat anything left unguarded at night 🤭 so make sure to treat your trash just like any bear camping setting. thanks again vicki, we hope to come back some day!

Had an amazing time at camp site 16. Amazing perk was the water connection and electricity outlet. Toilet and shower is well maintained, however was not able to work the shower near us. Also take into account the noise from the road. Highly recommend staying here.
