Ken is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
You will have the entire 5 acre property to yourself surrounded by natural Mojave Desert landscape up on Copper Mountain Mesa in north Joshua Tree, elevation 2500 feet. This provides expansive views in every direction with mountains all around. Amazing blue skies fill the days while sunset brings painted pink clouds of artistic beauty. At night the stars emerge like a million candles from another world. I’ve dubbed the place Tranquility Base because it is quiet, serene and much like I imagine the moon to be. It is a wide open, rugged spot of stark natural beauty. You are not entirely alone, however. Flora includes creosote, desert senna, cactus and wildflowers all blooming beautiful colors in late winter and spring. The fauna includes roadrunners, jackrabbits, awesome lizards and maybe the occasional coyote. Evidence of snakes lay in the loose sand of the low washes but I have never seen one. Guests must have an RV or camper van because you will need to bring everything you need, shade included. This is primitive, dry camping with no restrooms. Guests are welcome to pitch a tent in one of the sandy areas but much of the surface is covered with rocks. There is a concrete pad from a long gone homestead cabin that is great for tents, chairs and a bbq. Cell service is 5G and solid with a new tower just down the road. Tranquility Base is about 10 miles northeast of Joshua Tree village center, much of it on unpaved roads which can be bumpy. It’s a great spot for larger groups because of the space, up to 10 people and 4 vehicles. Pets are welcome. Of course, I want all of my guests to enjoy their stay and have a great experience. Should you have questions or concerns contact me and I will respond as soon as possible. Thank you.I’ve graded a spot for vehicles at the end of the short entrance road and surrounded it with railroad ties and big rocks. It should hold three or four RVs or vehicles depending on size. Park here and explore all five acres by foot.
