Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size. We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups. The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage. The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation! There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years. The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness. We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit. Many turkeys love to stop by too! We loved the Stargazer Cabin. And the fenced back yard had a super fire pit area. With bean bag chairs and a nice grill, too. Also, we drove out there in our Class C RV and they even had a 30-amp hook-up and water. Very nice surprise. We would definitely go back. We’re thinking of bringing our grandson because the property is very close to an OHV area that would be fun. All in all, it was pretty much perfect.

The directions were very straightforward, making it incredibly easy to get in and out, and the location was stellar—truly the perfect setting for our anniversary. Great location. Our visit was nice and peaceful. We were initially concerned with the tiny heater that was provided but we found that it worked great, we even had to turn it off halfway through the night. The Eagle Nest has a great view while still being secluded in the rocks and Manzanita.

Our family absolutely LOVED this private home-away-from-home! It was such a gift to go back to these cabins (we booked both), after our days of exploring Joshua Tree and Pioneer Town. Family favorite: Stargazing from the hot tub. My favorite: Quiet morning coffee on the deck with the sunrise. We love camping in JT, but now we are spoiled with this incredible privacy and sanctuary from the crowds. It's so quiet that you can hear every animal out there... coyotes, crows, and the early morning owls. We will definitely be going back!

The location was perfect and had an attached path to explore the area below. Super quiet for my reactive pup where it’s just you at the site. The deck was fabulous and the included grill/cooking utensils was great. Serina was also super accommodating and responded quickly in the chat. If heading over when raining, the site is still accessible though I do recommend using a car with higher clearance as some of the unpaved roads in the surrounding neighborhood can get quite rough. No issue with my AWD and the road itself leading up to the cabin as it was well maintained.
