The peace, quiet and beauty of nature is the theme at our property. This land is dedicated to the re-sacralization of culture. The spot was an ancient Native American camping area. People have found arrowheads, stone beads and grinding stones on the land. We offer various types of camping sites, as well as a teepee - so please read each listing for specific amenity and location information. We sell firewood on site. The amount and variety of wildlife is astonishing, with bear, deer, turkeys, fox, coyote, bobcat, Eagles, River otter, salmon and steelhead, with a wide variety of songbirds during migration. Easy access from road, close to town, tall oak trees, privacy, creek with salmon within a five minute walk, mountains, wildlife, barn owl nest box. Please note that during late summer, creek does not flow on surface but always has swimming holes where the salmon and steelhead wait for Fall rains to carry them down to the Eel river and eventually to the ocean, until they return as adults to spawn again. Guests love staying here: "Elderberry camp was really great! It was a large site, plenty of space, shade, and parking. Very peaceful and good distance between other sites although we were pretty much the only campers out there. Outhouse was clean and there was drinking water. We spent most of our Saturday in Eel River which was great. The water was perfect for swimming and fishing, our husbands caught some big ones. If you're checking the temperatures in Ukiah, please know that due to our elevation of 2,400' we're always 6 to 10 degrees cooler than the valley. It's rarely too hot up here to enjoy the always gorgeous great outdoors! We're fortunate to have Orr Hot Springs just down the road (you'll need a reservation), as well as a gorgeous protected redwood forest at Montgomery Woods where you can take an unforgettable hike in some of the most majestic redwoods on the west coast. The newly renovated 2 mile trail is a fun and easy hike for everyone. At night you'll see stars like you've never seen them before. Enjoy them from your tent or with the other guests at the communal gas fire pit near the barn. Mandala Springs was great! We loved the easy trailer hook-ups, clean and nice bathrooms and the things to do around the land. We did some nice hikes, went on the paddle boat and roasted s’mores.

Elderberry Camp was a nice and secluded stay. We essentially had the entire place to ourselves. Elderberry camp is the furthest away from the other 2 sites on that side of the property, but also note that it is the closest to the road. There isn’t enough traffic for it to be a problem in my opinion but if you are a light sleeper, it may affect you. Unfortunately, the creek was also dry during our stay. However, the foggy nights brought in nice moisture/frost that burned off by 11am. Another plus was the clean outhouse. Thanks, Stephen!

The staff was amazing and super welcoming. Originally booked for a tent site, but due to weather conditions, decided we wanted a cabin instead. The staff thankfully accommodate us and upgraded our stay. It rained on and off during the entirety of our stay. But regardless, we were satisfied with all the activities and space that Mandala Springs provided to give us a peaceful and wholesome experience.

Weekend Trip to Lightworks ranch

Stephen was a good host, and we appreciated his hospitality during our Labor Day weekend stay. The property was comfortable, and he was very responsive whenever we reached out. There was a large group staying nearby with three small dogs that barked throughout the day, which made it a little less peaceful than we had hoped. However, Stephen promptly addressed the situation on our behalf, which was appreciated but did little to quiet the dogs unfortunately. He also provided firewood and helpful directions to the nearby river, which—even with the lower summer water levels—was a nice spot to enjoy.

Mandala Springs was a last minute getaway on a crowded holiday weekend. The facilities were very clean - wonderful pool, clean bathrooms, and plenty of space to tent camp around the established cabins and glamping tents. I arrived after hours, but instructions were clearly stated at the office for setting up for the night. I didn't get the opportunity to enjoy some of the other offerings, like the swimming holes, paddle boats or mini golf, but what I did experience of the grounds and the hiking trails and meditation zones - complete with chimes - was lovely, well maintained, and very relaxing. It also seemed like the camp hosts regular events - smores bonfires, and shared meals - and I like the invitation to feel a sense of community and connection with others enjoying the space. The one thing I hadn't anticipated was that this family-friendly campground was particularly kid-forward on this holiday weekend, especially with very energetic and vocal young ones running throughout the camp - as late as 11pm and again at 6:30 in the morning. It held my experience back from being a truly peaceful getaway, but for the brief time of my stay, the pros outweighed the cons. I'd look elsewhere for a single or couples getaway campsite, but for those with kids looking for an easy getaway where they can roam freely, this seems like a good fit.

This place really surprised me! Amenities galore, cleanest bathrooms and showers I’ve seen at a camping spot. This review is for a tent spot, where I was able to pick any available spot, which included electrical hookups if you needed it. There were many well maintained trails to explore, some with platforms to meditate or stretch, bench’s over nice overlooks, and lots of peace and quiet. The communal fire pit was a nice gathering spot in the evening to relax under the stars and listen to a musical artist sing and play guitar , if you’re lucky. I came on Labor Day weekend 2025 for just one night after the nearby Tour de Fuzz bike ride in Santa Rosa, but will probably lay be back before the next one. 5 stars!

Stumbling upon Mandala Springs via Hipcamp was a stroke of luck. I had just purchased my first RV and it was like the universe sent me the perfect venue for its maiden voyage. I took my 9yo son with me and there was plenty to do - mini golf, gorgeous pool, hiking, make your own pizza night (!), pedal boats, and more. I'll be back.

What a restorative weekend. My leg was in pain and I was dealing with some health issues that made me feel really self-conscious. This weekend here for some reason, healed my leg and helped me gain a better outlook on life. I was able to hike to many different meditation spots, journal, relax, heal my mind and body, and even wading in the cool waters of the creek for some reason fixed my leg. I LOVED their book selections in the store. They were extremely hospitable. I have no idea how to reciprocate their kindness but to offer this review. I will definitely have to come back again. There are many options for you to stay in a tent or lodge or cabin. It was extremely quiet. We were there with just a few families and couples. We saw quite a different amount of animals and birds. They were great to wake up to as well. Everywhere we hiked/walked/biked we found a different bird feather on the ground. The space was so well-maintained and they really did think of everything. The details were amazing. My friend and I had a fantastic time and workshopped through a lot of our individual issues. We will probably come back for a yoga retreat!

Camp Meadow was a great experience, this has been the first time I have been camping in years and it was great. The creek was such a nice place to swim while it was hot during the day and the fire pit was perfect place to get warm in the early morning and late night when it got cold.

We camped for two nights over the 4th of July weekend. One of the nights, it was only me, my boyfriend and our dog and it was so nice and quiet, besides the occasional passing vehicle. We loved having access to the creek. Our dog loved swimming and taking dips, the water was very clear and clean. We took walks along the creek a few times a day. Loved our site! Having shade was nice and the weather was perfect during our stay. Reminder to campers: Noise does travel. Some folks are here to enjoy the silence of nature. But other than that, the fellow campers were respectful. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Thanks Stephen for being responsive and helpful. We'll be back!
