Great facilities and lovely host / neighboring RVers. We were lucky to be there during a members weekend for Halloween and it was incredible. Everyone was so lovely and the decorations amazing!

The staff was friendly and inviting upon arrival. The restrooms were within walking distance and very well cleansed. Plenty of picnic tables and privacy. 1 urinal 2 stalls and 2 showers 2 sinks. Nice playground for the kids as well as a recreation room for the family and clubhouse for indoor TV, fireplace and lounging with board games and more to keep the youth entertained. Outdoor bonfire perfect for late nights while stargazing making more memorable moments. Road 432 is walking distance and leads you into the town of Pine Village where other forms of necessities such as food and goods, local gas can be found with all sorts of nearby hikes and trails around the Bass Lake area. A little bit of everything! Just plan your own route and stops as you go and wander. Great WiFi as well provided but just being here makes you even forget about being on your phone, devices and technology, honestly. It served it's purpose to rid us of impurities and have us indulge more with Mother Earth as if it were second nature. Definitely plan to return and do some fishing! We connected with a family this past weekend who made the experience even more memorable and enjoyable for our little family of 3 as we decided to celebrate our daughter's birthday there. Everyone was beyond genuine with their support and hospitality that they offered and the stories that were shared just goes to show how the world still has hope. You just have to look in the right places and let the universe guide you.

Cool spot, going again next summer. Make sure to pack up food nice and tight unless you want skunks eating your food but other then that it was a great time

This campsite is great! Laundry, shower, bathroom, pool, community center and much more is all within a short walk of all campsites here. Also within walking distance of Bass Lake, this campsite was a perfect stay!

The tent camping was different from normal parks. Outlets at each site, portable water, pea gravel for drainage around the site and you didn't drag in as much dirt. The kids loved the Wi-Fi to listen to music, I loved it so I could download maps of Yosemite before we went in with no service. The pool was nice and cool and had been cleaned while we were there. The club house I'm sure would be bustling during the peak season, we choose the end of September to avoid a good amount of the crowd. Within walking distance of Bass Lake which was beautiful and we were able to rent a boat and pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves. We didn't use the laundry facilities on site but they were there and looked in good shape. The toilets and showers were well maintained. I have already recommended Outdoorsy Yosemite to other families who are looking to go visit Yosemite.

We loved this campsite! The bathrooms were very clean and conveniently located to our spot, and the location of the campground is very quiet. It was very easy to find the campground with the provided address, and we had no issues checking in. We thought the communal fire pit was very nice, and appreciated the other amenities of the site. I will most definitely be recommending this campground to anyone camping in that area, as I was impressed with the whole experience, and it only too about 30 minutes to drive into Yosemite from our site.

I had a great time camping at Ourdoorsy's camp ground. I felt at peace at my camp sight where there was fresh air and plenty of space to get away. My wife was a bit spooked about the wild life, but we were 100 percent safe. The staff at the site were decent. I didn't feel welcomed, but we enjoyed the site.

The amenities were great for campervan experience. They had 240v and 120v outlets with fresh water and waste water systems on each camping site. The site's bathrooms were nice and open 24 hours. The campsite was also walking distance from food and entertainment which was great for ease of logistics. The employees were also very friendly and helpful!

The location is excellent—just about 30 minutes from the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park. We came with our 30ft RV and had a full hookup site, which was very clean and well-maintained. The campground has nice amenities, including clean toilets and a pool area that’s great for children. Check-in was very easy, even though we arrived late—the staff had prepared our documents on the pinned wall, making the process quick and smooth. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended for anyone visiting Yosemite.

I booked this campground pretty last minute on an August weekend and was very happy with the experience. Prior to arrival I messaged a few questions through the Hipcamp app and the staff always responded very quickly. My overall impression: Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, nice pool, and family-friendly activities. Plenty of trees and natural shade at our campsite. The electrical outlet didn’t work at our tent site but we let the staff know and they brought an adapter which fixed the issue. Would definitely stay here again!

we arrived late after a long drive from Sequoia, but seamless late check-in ..all good with the connections to RV services, excellent on-site showers, clean and tidy, spacious, everything we needed for a 2 night stopover.
nice to see people enjoying the communal areas, the pool, firepits, bbqs, nice place close to the lake. We used the location for access to Yosemite, hour+ drive to Yosemite Valley view, which was a highlight of our road trip, amazing must-see, also Mirror Lake trail ..and the drive out north to Lake Tahoe, stunning views and landscapes. Incredible!

Had a lovely time at our little spot. Leslie was incredibly accommodating and very friendly. Camp was clean, pool was perfect and the grounds are close to everything. We only stayed one night and we won’t make that mistake again. Next time we will stay much longer. We tent camped under a beautiful canopy of trees. Ohh and the bathrooms were very clean and showers were too. Awesome spot to stay for your bass lake adventure

Where to go
Shaver Lake
Situated on Shaver Lake’s shores are a handful of campgrounds, some with hundreds of campsites and plentiful amenities including wifi, marinas, boat ramps, and horseback riding facilities. On the lake’s southwest shore, the US Forest Service Dorabelle Campground offers 67 campsites with limited amenities but drinking water and vault toilets. Two miles south of the lake, the primitive Swanson Meadow Campground features eight campsites.
Sierra National Forest
The Sierra National Forest surrounds Shaver Lake. Spanning more than a million acres, the landscape varies from rolling foothills to alpine peaks, and more than 60 developed campgrounds. Bass Lake, Huntington Lake, and Mammoth Pool Reservoir are all a short drive away, and offer more than a dozen campgrounds among them. To enjoy natural hot springs, head to the Mono Hot Springs area. Several campgrounds also offer easy access to the Dinkey Lakes and Ansel Adams wilderness areas.
Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks
To the southeast of Shaver Lake, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks is home to numerous groves of giant sequoias, the tallest trees in the world, and one of the country’s deepest canyons, along with glacial valleys, massive caverns, and waterfalls. The two parks together offer more than 20 developed campgrounds. Tent cabins are also available for those looking for more luxury. Popular options include the Sunset, Crystal Springs, Azalea, Hume Lake, and Princess campgrounds.
Yosemite National Park
One of the country’s most popular national parks, Yosemite National Park is known for its granite monoliths, grand vista points, waterfalls, epic rock climbing, and hundreds of miles of trails. The park offers more than a dozen developed campgrounds, with the Wawona Campground the closest to Shaver Lake. The campgrounds in Yosemite Valley offer easy access to many highlights, while several high sierra camps offer the best of backpacking, without having to carry everything.
