Weekend Trip to Granite Mountain
I stayed in the eagles nest (site 3) cabin over the weekend and had an absolutely wonderful experience. It’s a very cute spot both beautiful and cozy and offers the perfect balance of comfort with a true glamping feel. The cabin was thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay.
The views were breathtaking, and at night the sky was incredibly clear, allowing us to see so many stars. One of my favorite moments was having breakfast outside with a cup of coffee while taking in the peaceful surroundings and fresh air it felt calm and restorative.
The host was great: communication was easy, directions were clear, and everything from check-in to the stay itself was smooth and stress-free. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in nature without sacrificing comfort.
It’s fur baby friendly: My pup had such a wonderful time. I truly enjoyed my trip and will be making a second trip.

Great location. Our visit was nice and peaceful. We were initially concerned with the tiny heater that was provided but we found that it worked great, we even had to turn it off halfway through the night. The Eagle Nest has a great view while still being secluded in the rocks and Manzanita.

Ken’s Eagles Nest was the perfect retreat for our babymoon. The cabin was exceptionally cozy and stocked with thoughtful amenities that truly exceeded our expectations — a clean composting toilet, a warm outdoor shower, an easy-to-use outdoor stove, and a great campfire pit for relaxing evenings.
The huge windows offered stunning views that made the whole place feel peaceful and connected to nature. We felt comfortable, cared for, and completely recharged.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful, serene getaway!

We loved our time at eagles nest! Ken our host was great! He gave us great instructions on how to get to the site and also gave us many recommendations on places to visit around the area. I stayed at this glamping site for a weekend and absolutely loved it.
The property itself is gorgeous—quiet, well maintained, and surrounded by nature.
If you’re looking for something that blends outdoor adventure with hotel-like comfort, this place nails it. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning my next visit.

This was an amazing stay, one of the best I’ve found on Hipcamp. There’s really no need to bring anything other than a change of clothes and whatever you feel like cooking in the outdoor cooking area. The view from the deck was incredible and the nighttime view serene. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this stay for the outdoor enthusiast or for anyone needing to unplug for a bit. We had an amazing weekend at the Eagles Nest Mountain Cabin! Ken was a fantastic host—super thoughtful, responsive, and even sent us local tips that made our trip even better. The cabin had everything we needed and more: comfy bed, extra blankets, mini fridge, heater, ceiling fan, hot shower, and even flashlights (a lifesaver since I forgot mine!). The composting toilet worked great, and the little details made the stay extra comfortable.
We loved the porch rocking chairs, propane fire pit, and being able to watch movies from bed while enjoying the mountain views. The location is also perfect—close to a casino (4 miles) and a great coffee shop (1 mile).
Highly recommend Ken’s place—we’ll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Granite Mountain
My wife and I went for a quick weekend getaway and were thoroughly impressed. We stayed at the Eagles Nest and it was more than we expected. Ken was great to communicate with and gave us several ideas for things to do in the area.
A huge plus was having the bathroom/shower connected. There are 3 cabins on the property but we didn’t even see anyone else. Ken has done a great job at taking advantage of the natural landscape to create privacy.
There is a great little deck in the front of the unit with chairs that enabled us to enjoy the sunset and just relax.
There was a propane stove located at a cooking area outside with various pots and pans and a cool picnic table with lights over it. Great area to relax and enjoy the serenity.
Getting up to the cabin from the area you park is a steep hike but it definitely added to the experience. Make sure you can carry anything you bring.
When you are there make sure and head over to Temecula Olive Oil Co and Emerald Creek Winery. Both places are close and the people there are great!
We have nothing but good things to say about our stay this weekend. We are now trying to find another free weekend to go back.
