There are 33 giant sequoia groves in our Southern Region of the Giant Sequoia National Monument, some easily driven to, and some remote. Our ranch is a nature preserve and an education demonstration site, teaching sustainable and regenerative land use practices. River Ridge Institute, our non-profit, hosts a variety of events for the public. Please note: you are expected to leave the ranch and kitchen area as you found it, i.e., dishes washed thoroughly and dried and put away, recycling separated from trash, food scraps in compost buckets, sticky marshmallow removed from forks and surfaces (ick!). Welcome to Deers Eye View! Enjoy a nice morning or evening on the front patio enjoying nature. Relax after a long day in our jacuzzi bathtub. Our home is 1622 sq ft with plenty of space to make yourself comfortable. As you walk into our home you will see our open living room and oversized couch. You’ll then immediately see our kitchen and dining room. Our kitchen table seats 4 and we have 2 barstools in the kitchen for the bar area. Down the hallway you’ll see our first bedroom with a Queen size bed, the laundry room, and a hallway bathroom. Then straight ahead you’ll see our master bedroom with a bathroom a walk-in closet, full bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Our home does have AC/Heating by mini split units that are all new & purchased & installed in June 2022 and are maintained monthly. We also have 2 twin folding beds that can be set up in either bedroom or the living room. Purchased August 2022 for additional sleeping. Ring cameras are located on the outside of the property. No cameras are inside. Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio enjoying nature. A propane barbeque is located on the front porch. Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in & around the area & Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY. BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park. MAKE SURE TO REVIEW THE SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK WEBSITE FOR CURRENT PARK CONDITIONS INFORMATION PRIOR TO BOOKING. *REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN IF THE AREAS IN THE PARKS YOU'RE WANTING TO VISIT ARE CLOSED* RULES: Maximum occupancy of 6 is strictly enforced. No cameras are inside. Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio enjoying nature. A propane barbeque is located on the front porch. Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in & around the area & Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY. BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Magical Getaway! This campsite was everything we hoped for and more! It was peaceful, absolutely beautiful, and incredibly private—the perfect place to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature. The entire experience felt enlightening and refreshing. The RV was extremely comfortable and homey, with cozy touches that made it feel like a true retreat. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil we could’ve possibly needed, which made cooking super easy and enjoyable. The views were breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. One of the best parts was being able to hike along the river and explore nature without seeing another person—just pure tranquility and wide-open space. Other things we loved: ✅ Super clean and well-maintained space ✅ Thoughtful host who clearly care about the guest experience ✅ Perfect balance of comfort and “outdoor adventure” ✅ A hidden gem that feels private but still safe and welcoming If you’re looking for a beautiful, serene escape where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy nature in complete privacy, this is the place. The Mountain Chapel Campground was fantastic! I stayed at the Rustic Cabin. It was very simple, but great. No frills but had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, clean linens, a couple chairs, a table, shelves, a desk. Close enough to walk along a well-lit path to the nice tile showers with hot water. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family absolutely loved this area! Great location! The camp was very well maintained and thought out. You can feel the love they have put into this property. The cabins were great and had everything we needed for our family of four. The kids (4&8) loved seeing the wild quail coveys, the star gazing nets and the sunset swing! The owners and camp host were very kind with wonderful communication. Both taking extra time to answer my questions about the land, property, buildings and a neighboring forest fire. We felt very comfortable and safe!!!

Kiley is super super quick to respond. The cabin was overall good but slightly more rustic than I had imagined. Our generator failed in the middle of the night in the second night which I think was just bad luck but meant we had no WiFi, which meant no signal at all in this area! There is cooling and a fan. It is right by Sequoia and King’s Canyon parks, but the drive from Three Rivers to the cabin ends up taking about 25 minutes extra. My one thing to improve- the towels were really nice but the bedsheets were polyester which I really hate, and made it super sweaty given the heat! View of the stars is amazing and super quiet up there, although the swamp cooler was pretty loud

Melissa was a wonderful Host! She was very responsive and receptive to any questions my friends and I had about the cabin and Bass Lake nearby. She even offered plenty of advice and tips for things to do. The cabin had plenty of accommodations: plenty of seats for meals, a full kitchen with plenty of dishes and cups, extra beach towels and the like for use when going to Bass Lake. I also thoroughly enjoyed the bear-themed decor all over the cabin. Truly the Bears' Den!

We stayed here for our mini-moon and overall had a memorable and peaceful experience! The campground has a charming, rustic vibe and is tucked away in nature. It is the perfect for a quiet getaway. Wildlife is definitely active here! A bat managed to find its way into our cabin! Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and were able to move us to a different cabin that was bat-free. Sunset Point is absolutely gorgeous, and the swing overlooking the view was chef’s kiss. The cabins are cozy, but just a heads-up: there’s no air conditioning. Even with all the windows open, it got pretty warm inside. Thankfully, there was a fan in the cabin, and we brought an extra one from home which helped a lot. One suggestion for future stays, I wish the cabin patios had lounge chairs. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings more comfortably. I’ll definitely be packing a couple of my own next time!

Weekend Trip to Lakeshore Resort
We love the cabin. Small but there was plenty of room. Has its own bathroom with shower. Sleeps 4 adults comfortably. Love how beautiful, isolated and quiet it was. We used the fire pit to cook our dinner. Will definitely be going back. Host was friendly and very helpful.

We loved our two day stay in Kiley’s mini cabin. It had everything we needed while we were visiting Sequoia National Park. We used the kitchenette and the grill. Kiley was super responsive and answered all our questions. I will just say that the 25 minute road from Three Rivers to the cabin was daunting and very curvy and tight.
