Within a 10 minute walk from the property is the namesake attraction—a stunning swimming hole carved into the rock wall by dynamite decades ago, ( Google hole in the wall Leggett) now transformed into a refreshing oasis complete with cascading waterfalls. Creek color, level, and clarity vary depending on season! The creek is visible from some sites, but not all. Lounge on redwood decks, picnic under the trees, play on the worlds biggest home made giant cylinder chimes in the sound garden or explore the surrounding fruit trees and lush forest paths, tire swings, or a game of horse shoes. Weekend Trip to Ganjier Campus
The cabins were super clean and cozy, completely surrounded by trees and tons of sun. I thought it was really cool that they run fully on solar power but still have electricity and wifi so you really do get the best of both worlds. The hosts were so kind and they even left snacks in the cabin, which was so sweet. Bathrooms and showers were impressively spotless and fully functional too. The entrance road is a little rough, but once you’re in, it’s so pretty, peaceful and serene, you won’t even mind the ride up. P.S. I had no clue what a “Ganjier” was when I booked, did a quick Google later and was a little surprised, given I had my younger sister with me lol.

The beauty of the area and the Redwoods are amazing. Bonnie was super nice and our stay was peaceful. The facilities were what we expected. The site is off the beaten path which makes it even more amazing. We took a long walk on the road.

What a trip, in all ways. Thomas, the owner and caretaker are fabulous humans full of great stories! It was amazing to have our dogs off-leash which is most important to us. The sites are under development and looking great with a ton of potential. The bridge was a challenge (20ft trailer) but we managed just fine. We had a blast and left with some amazing memories. Looking forward to our next trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway. It was a short walk to the river and views were stunning. Thomas and his crew were great and super helpful. Be aware if you are coming with an RV the bridge is tight. Even though this camp didn't offer a lot of privacy it was very serene.

Weekend Trip to Chemise Mountain Retreat
Bonnie and her land are both great--I highly recommend Chamise Mountain Retreat! I was lucky to have the place to myself, so it was extra quiet. I loved falling asleep to the frogs and waking up with the birds. The toilet and shower were clean, and there were an outdoor table and chairs at the camp site itself.

We stayed one night. The host was very nice and accommodating. He showed us where the rstroom and shower was and even helped the lady next to us with her propane so she could make her kids dinner. The hole in the wall is very cool, just a short walk from the campsite.

Booked last minute and was really impressed as we didn't know what to expect. This is on Thomas’ property who greeted us even with our late arrival being about 9ish Friday night. Walked us to our site and talked with us a short bit. Told us he has dogs on the property that do roam and an added bonus we did get to meet the cat as well. Sites are about 20-30 feet apart with benches and fire pits. Our camp site had a large fire pit and a tire swing. They had a shower, dish washing station, water refill station and the cleanest port-o-pottys I have ever seen. Highly recommend this site. The hole in the wall swimming hole is not on the grounds but is a minute drive away to park and a 5-10 minute quick walk down to the water. The pictures on the site are exactly how it looks. You will mot be disappointed.

Absolutely loved staying here!! The owners were super caring and made sure we had everything we needed. The site was also gorgeous with lots to explore. I would definitely recommend as I will definitely be going back!

Weekend Trip to Chemise Mountain Retreat
Lovely spot and host! Awesome access to the Lost coast trail via the campground just a short walk down the road. Shower was cold only for us… if hot water is available we couldn’t get it going. Few mosquitos, but not bad at all

Weekend Trip to The Hideaway at Hole In The Wall
Do not take Bell Springs Road! The hipcamp is across the street from Tan Oak park off a short gravel road drive. Once you arrive, you may meet the owner & his dogs along the drive. Follow the blue arrows to multiple camp sites with a picnic table, smokeless firepit & gravel parking at each site. We use levelers, but it was already pretty flat. There is a waterfall next to the sites & you are generally located at the back of the traditional Hole in the Wall swim site. About a 5 minute drive to the walking trail to the swim site. Overall, it's a new site with room to grow but it's quiet, well maintained & dog friendly 🐾
