You will not find another home like this nor the massive 50 ft+ rock wall that provides cover to back side of the house.In 2016, after more than 50+ years operating as a working cattle ranch (Brookins Ranch) and a viewing attraction for Adelaida Wine Trail travelers, the property was unfortunately shut down and put up for sale.As a born and raised local, I had to purchase the property with the hopes of restoring it to its greatest and to allow others to enjoy what it has to offer. Since March 2017, my family and I have been working hard on the restoration - attempting to keep a lot of it's uniqueness while integrating modern technologies that will help expand the property's life. The property is nestled in a very quiet area of Atascadero, surrounded by hundreds of oak trees and natural beauty. The five-acre property features rolling hills filled with oak, bay laurel, and redwood trees, and is frequently visited by tree squirrels, deer, and a variety of birds that live throughout the land. There are two occupied homes on the property, along with Max the cat, chickens, and a sweet Labrador named Maverick.
The driveway is accessible by car, truck, and camper van (such as a Westfalia or similar), and tent campers are also welcome. However, the property is not easily accessible for very large trailers over 36 feet in length. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. Water, Wi-Fi, and power are available, but there is no sewer cleanout.
Downtown Atascadero offers several great dining and drink options, and the city center is only three miles away. Such a cute and cozy loft! It was bigger than we expected and it was great that they had all the amenities! The outdoor is super cute and it was great that they had BBQ. The host also made sure we had enough pellets to keep warm throughout the night. Loved how it was dog friendly, though I didnt think it would be best off leash.... We were able to walk to nearby winery, chill, enjoy nature and eat good food. High recommend this stay!

We had a fantastic time at vinyl vinyards. It was not only beautiful but it had everything we needed. There was only one thing that might have enhanced our stay. Our host let us know in advance that there was a heater in the camper but we couldn't get it to work. Other than that, we really enjoyed it! Would love to go back!

The pictures don't do it justice. The place is so nice. Wife and I spent our first anniversary there. Loved it. So close to wineries. So nice that it's dong friendly and the Texas longhorns are so cool!

This place was perfect for our family. Great location. Not too far from town for all the conveniences but also far enough to see every star away from the city lights. The site had everything you would need. Very nice bbq grills, lights, fire pit, frisbee golf, corn hole, etc.

What an awesome experience! We had a bit of a rainy weekend, and thought what better way to spend the weekend than this beautiful HipCamp under the stars. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine while listening to the provided vinyl records. The place was clean and well decorated! The host responded quickly when we asked how to purchase another bottle of wine, even offering to deliver it to our site while it was raining. Definitely would recommend!

This was an amazing place to stay. The loft is well prepared and has everything you need while you’re there. The guest book has tons of recommendations and ideas for you while you’re here. Would absolutely stay again. Our dog loved running around the property.

Weekend Trip to Vinyl Vineyards Glampground
We had a great time at Vinyl Vineyards! This was my first time staying in one of the vintage trailers, but second stay overall. The trailer was very nice and the propane heater worked very well. It was in the 30°s at night and we were comfortable.

Where to go
San Luis Obispo County
A stay in Paso Robles means easy access to the many attractions and communities in the surrounding SLO County. Popular destinations include Morro Bay State Park and its year-round campground, known for its kayaking near Morro Rock, golf course, and natural history museum, and Hearst Castle, a 19th-century mansion that now operates as a museum. Sea otters and spouting whales are a common sight, so don't forget binoculars.
Big Sur
One of the most beautiful parts of California’s Central Coast, Big Sur draws in crowds with its cliff-lined coastal views and huge state parks. This area was made famous by Henry Miller and his contemporaries and has a large counterculture community to this day.
Los Padres National Forest
If you want to get out and explore in the woods, Los Padres National Forest is the place to do it, with miles of hiking trails and massive expanses of protected wilderness. There’s a lot to cover—around 2 million acres in total.
When to go
Paso Robles's inland location means that it tends to be considerably warmer than nearby coastal communities. Summers are hot and dry, with highs in the 90s and wine tasting crowds, and it's rare that it drops below freezing in winter, even at night. Winter is the rainy season—if you're planning a January trip, remember your rain gear. There are plenty of events throughout the year, from the Paso Wine Fest held every May to the annual Pioneer Day, held on the second Saturday of October.
