We have lived on the farm now for over 21 years. The back part of the property was a stop point for the stage line between Oroville and Bangor during the 1880, Then gold was discovered on the property. There were multiple Gold claims on this property. The Old rock pilings are still there to explore. It is a favorite spot for finding Jasper, some Agates and quartz. Campers are welcome year-round to this tent site on the old Gold Claim of our 20-acre family farm! Drive right up to this fun-filled, family-friendly campsite, easily accessible by cars and SUVs alike - though 4WD is helpful during the rainy season. This site features two seasonal streams that cross on the property, as well as bushes full of ripe blackberries - if you catch them at the right time, help yourself. You'll enjoy hearing the birds echoing through the trees and could easily see deer tip toeing through the woods. Dogs on leash only. We raise 4H and FFA show and market goats, llamas, and a donkey and a cow, all of whom are very friendly! You'll also see our chickens, ducks, peacocks, and guinea hens. Rock pilings are on the island between the two seasonal streams that cross our land. Gold panning, hiking and creek walking is available on the property. Campers are welcome to stargaze in the field, create scavenger hunts for the kids, or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility. The streams dry up in late June and fill up in November when the rains start. Trank Family Farm is 30 minutes from Lake Oroville, 20 minutes from Oroville Wildlife Area and the Feather River - great for kayaking, swimming, and fishing! Be sure to check out the trails and seasonal waterfalls at Table Mountain, 35 minutes away. There are 2 Indian Casinos & Hotels in Oroville, as well as 2 golf ranges - and all with in 20 minutes of the camp site. The college town of Chico is about 30 minutes outside of Oroville. Our second visit and the accommodations were even nicer than last. We enjoyed viewing the rural landscape from the cozy bed. The room had everything we needed including coffee, mugs, and a microwave. The town of Lincoln is slow paced and friendly. A soak in the hot tub was so relaxing. Great weekend getaway.

This is a really great spot and we enjoyed our stay! We enjoyed the roaring creek next to us and hearing the water as we went to sleep and upon wake up! The tent was well built, felt cozy and secure. The propane heater provided was a MUST as we stayed mid-Oct and the nights were cold outside. It heated it up very quickly and we had to turn it down while we slept it got so toasty. While there are 2 options for parking, if we weren't able to park where we did (closer to the tent), it would have made for more difficult logistics. We just barely were able to get our full-sized truck backed down the path (between the posts) in order to park close to the tent. In muddy weather this might have been more challenging. FYI - you need to have some pretty decent backing up and maneuvering skills to back down through the gate, esp if you have a full sized truck like we did. We did navigate to this spot at night which was a bit challenging in the dark but everything worked out well. This is a nice, secluded and peaceful spot!

Loved our stay! Kelly was incredibly welcoming. We spent most of our time in the pool and had a beautiful evening grilling and enjoying the view. The drive in is pretty long but very scenic. We stopped at a flower farm on the way home and also saw some breweries and wineries we want to check out next time.

We had a great time staying at Kelly's property. It checked all the boxes! Great views and lots of peace a quiet away from the city (except the squeals from the kids playing in the amazing pool and the cries from them that we had to leave). We were greeted warmly by Kelly who kindly provided a nice bottle of wine to celebrate my wife's birthday. That felt extra special. The accommodations were great, comfy bed, nice sized pullout for the kids, mini fridge and anything you'd need to enjoy a meal while there. We only stayed for 1 night but would have loved to have been able to stay longer!

This was our second time staying here, and we already want to come back again. The first time was in the winter — cozy vibes, evenings by the fireplace, board games, hot tub at sunset… it was perfect. This time we came in the summer and spent so much time outside — swimming in the pool during the day, relaxing in the hot tub at night. Completely different vibe, just as amazing. We noticed so many little improvements since our last stay. The yard is now fully fenced (huge plus for our dog who loves to explore), the fridge is bigger, and there are more than enough hangers now — Kelly really listens to feedback, and it shows. Even though the room is technically part of the main house, we felt like we had our own space the whole time. No shared areas, no awkward run-ins — just your own private entrance straight to the yard with all the awesome amenities. Kelly is a super thoughtful and welcoming host, always checking in to see if we needed anything. We love this place — peaceful, beautiful, and just feels good to be there. Can’t wait to come back 💖

My husband and I had such a beautiful stay at Dan’s property! We loved how private it was and enjoyed a romantic holiday weekend! We loved all the thoughtful touches around camp including the tent and bathroom! It perfectly fit our needs and we can’t wait to return to take in the spectacular views another time! We enjoyed the drive to the camp as well and feel that it would be fun to bring our kids and their dog next time! We loved the creek and took and dip and fished a little as well! To my surprise I was given some delicious steak amd cheese sammich and home fries and salad which was epic cause I had been motocycle camping for a week already and haven't had a real meal. 😅 Superb hospitality and a comfy nestle id recommend.

Great spot with a thoughtful setup! It was cooler down in the canyon by the creek than elsewhere in the area, which was nice when it started getting hotter! We decided to use the heater the second night and it warmed up the tent FAST, even on the lowest setting. We had to turn it off after 5 minutes not to overheat! Not as buggy as I'd assumed, given how close it is to the water (still a bit, but that's nature, folks!). The outhouse, lights, and dining table setup are all well thought out and nicely done. There is a trek up and down the hill from the car, so be warned if you might struggle on a very short but steep hill with loose dirt, but it was fine for us. I think we'll probably come back!

We had an amazing stay at Serene Country Paradise with our three dogs! The property is peaceful and spacious, with stunning views that made every morning and sunset feel magical. The room was incredibly spacious and had everything we needed, a comfy couch, TV, utensils, and all the little touches that made it feel like home. The bed was especially beautiful, comfortable and perfectly placed to face the door, so we could wake up to the most breathtaking view right from under the covers. So peaceful! The bathroom was spotless and fully stocked with fresh towels and all the essential amenities, which we really appreciated. We also used the BBQ grill, which made for a great outdoor sunset dinner. Our dogs had the best time running around and soaking up the open space, it’s such a welcoming and pet-friendly spot. We spent most of the day swimming in the pool, which was a highlight! We didn’t get around to using the hot tub since we were so relaxed (and tired!) after swimming, but it’s definitely on our list for next time. The beautiful horses on the property were the cherry on top, so gentle and peaceful, they really added to the serene atmosphere. This place truly lives up to its name, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, dog-friendly escape with all the comforts of home!

What a slice of heaven on earth this enchanting glampsite was! My husband, toddler and I enjoyed our stay so much and it was a nice break not to have to set up our own tent/toilet. The sound of the creek was absolutely heavenly and made this site especially tranquil. We appreciated the excitement directions given to get here, comfortable bed set up to sleep on, and convenient saw dust toilet with the provided bags/sawdust.

Nestled in the rolling hills of wine country, with a stunning view of the valley, lies this beautiful home with a gorgeous swimming pool. Kelly greeted us as we arrived and was so wonderful and so accommodating. She showed us all the things to make sure we knew our way around and to feel comfortable. We felt at home and wished we had booked another night! The room stayed nice and cool during the warm weather and the bed was very comfortable and the softest bath towels I have ever felt! , We had a great night’s sleep. Would absolutely book again.
