About the property Our property is in the high desert above Borrego Springs at 4,300'. We border Anza Borrego State property which means you’ll be adjacent to plenty of beautiful open spaces. There are many trails in the park which lead to the desert floor from our fence line. On a clear day you can see the Salton Sea from the bottom of the property.  We have great access to nearby points of interest including Borrego Springs which is 20 miles away, Anza Borrego State Park which is adjacent to Julian at 40 miles away, Palomar observatory which is 40 miles away and Cuyamaca Lake which is fantastic for fishing only 45 miles away. If you need to pop into town for any supplies or services you can access Borrego Springs (20 miles away), Julian (40 miles away), Ramona (45 miles away), and Temecula (50 miles away). We have 3 horseshoe pits and 9 frisbee golf baskets for recreation onsite and we have incredible dark skies for excellent stargazing. You may see many different forms of wildlife including mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, bob cats, racoons, badgers, and rattle snakes. You will see many rabbits, squirrels and tons of birds of all kinds! We are really the perfect location for those who love the outdoors! Owners live on site but we like to greet, meet, and then leave you to your stay! Please reach out if you have questions or concerns though. About the listing Our listing is for tents, vans and truck campers, trailers, or RV’s and we can accommodate rigs up to 25ft in length. A few of our 5 sites are pull through sites on dirt and may require some leveling. All sites are dry camping only as we do not have any hookups, though there are two bathrooms and water available in a centralized area on the property.  You can expect High desert and scrub brush environments. Any vehicle should be able to access our property but 4-wheel drive vehicle might make it a little easier to access areas on the outside perimeter of the property. While staying with us you can expect some noise from coyotes, raven….wind and a little highway traffic on s22. Each site will accommodate up to 6 people. Everyone who comes to stay is friendly and chill, no drama here and not a party place, just good vibes :) We have a small farm on our property with chickens and loads of rare tropical fruits and veggies and we love to give tours and share with our guests. There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 30 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore.  Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure.  Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time.  share it with our guests and will be available during your whole stay if you need anything at all.  We are just a text away and we live on the property and are often down gardening, working, swimming, etc.

This is our first Hipcamp experience and it was a pleasantly unique one. We were greeted by the sweetest pack of dogs and our sites were clean and easy to find. Our group of 12 booked sites 3 & 4 to be close together. The hot shower & toilets were just a few mins away fr our sites. The camp hosts, Joel & Jessica, were very helpful and showed us around. The owner, Sean, communicated thru the website and answered all my questions in a timely manner. The kids (ages 6-17) loved visiting all the animals: feeding the goats, holding the kitties in the cathouse, petting the calm big dogs, hiking on the trails, playing at the obstacle course, & they really loved the zip line. There are trails on the property ranging fr easy to difficult. On our night walk to stargaze, there is a beautiful view fr the Hilltop site. Having the dogs around left a big impression as we’ve never had guard dogs at a campsite before. Even though there were times (late in the night) where there was a stretch of barking at something in the hills, it felt very comforting to know they were out there doing their job. It was interesting to hear them communicating to each other from end to end of the property and it was actually not a bother for any of us. It became almost like white noise to fall asleep to. We felt honored to have most of them hang out with us and at the end of the trip we were all saying “We miss the dogs!” So we definitely look forward to coming back and we recommend this place for families.

The option for electricity was a complete game changer—it kept my phone and lights fully charged and made my stay so much easier and more comfortable. Lexi is a wonderful hostess! She was incredibly attentive to all my texts and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hospitality here is unmatched, and I was so grateful for the invite to the community Thanksgiving feast. Everyone was so warm and welcoming—it truly felt like being part of a little family. Waking up to the gorgeous views each morning was such a treat. The sound of the birds and the peaceful rhythm of ranch life made the entire experience feel authentic and refreshing, especially compared to my usual day-to-day in the city. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Three days and two nights of pure relaxation — my solo stay couldn’t have been better! Arriving after dark, Lexi kindly helped me find my way, which immediately made me feel welcome. She responded to every message I sent throughout my stay, making communication effortless and stress-free. The site is private, secure, and peaceful — I could even head into the city and return without a worry. The hot shower was refreshing, and the flush toilet with toilet paper and hand soap was perfect — clean, convenient, and easy to use. The outdoor kitchen was a great bonus, and my drinks in the community fridge were fully secured. Cooking or just relaxing outdoors in this calm, natural setting felt so grounding. Waking up to earthy scents, the rooster’s crow, and warm sunshine made it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. On my second night, I received an invitation to the open mic night — professional talent and friendly people made it truly memorable. Sagewinds Farm is the first certified organic white sage farm in the world. Located in the high desert of San Diego county, between 3500 feet and 3800 ft. this beautiful 40 acres features caves, massive boulders to climb, views, flat land and privacy. At night the stars are magnificent and the milky way is visible...there are meteor showers several times a year. Permanent residents in the barn are the 2 mini horses to visit and four wonderful dogs. The nights are always cool and usually below 60% so be prepared to sleep well, even if the days are hot. This is an outdoor private YOME near our pool. Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, towels, etc.  There is a small sink to wash dishes (pleases only liquid down the drain) but we do not supply dishes, so paper/disposable stuff required if you plan on cooking)  The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place.  The outdoor bathroom will be shared when other guests are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening.  The pool is shared, we live on the property across an easement and we have other rentals on the property. There is total privacy at the YOME. Everyone who comes to stay is friendly and chill, no drama here and not a party place, just good vibes :) We have a small farm on our property with chickens and loads of rare tropical fruits and veggies and we love to give tours and share with our guests. About the property Our property is in the high desert above Borrego Springs at 4,300'. We border Anza Borrego State property which means you’ll be adjacent to plenty of beautiful open spaces. There are many trails in the park which lead to the desert floor from our fence line. On a clear day you can see the Salton Sea from the bottom of the property.  We have great access to nearby points of interest including Borrego Springs which is 20 miles away, Anza Borrego State Park which is adjacent to Julian at 40 miles away, Palomar observatory which is 40 miles away and Cuyamaca Lake which is fantastic for fishing only 45 miles away. If you need to pop into town for any supplies or services you can access Borrego Springs (20 miles away), Julian (40 miles away), Ramona (45 miles away), and Temecula (50 miles away). We have 3 horseshoe pits and 9 frisbee golf baskets for recreation onsite and we have incredible dark skies for excellent stargazing. You may see many different forms of wildlife including mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, bob cats, racoons, badgers, and rattle snakes. You will see many rabbits, squirrels and tons of birds of all kinds! We are really the perfect location for those who love the outdoors!
