We had a small group come up to Nathan's ranch for my sister's birthday, and we rented out two of the glamping sites. We had so much fun, and it was awesome being away from the city with such amazing views. Seriously, the mountains were insane, and I don't think I've ever seen the Milky Way so clearly. Nathan was lovely, as are the animals—everyone should do the petting zoo. Definitely bring your earplugs if you're in Pink Pony #1 (the rooster is an early riser!) We'll be back for sure :)

We stayed on Nathan's farm and were the only guests for two nights (benefits of not camping on the weekend!). It was quiet except for the delightful noises from the goats, pigs, and chickens. The morning and night skies were spectacular. Our campsite was clean with an eco outhouse and separate stand-alone shower. Instructions to get to the farm were easy to follow. Nathan welcomed us into the farm when we arrived. We got to experience rain on the 2nd day--lovely. We appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into the creation our campsite.

Had a great stay at Nathan's ranch! We stayed at the Jolly Rancher site and it exceeded expectations!
Clean outhouse, shower and kitchen utensils provided. Nathan was super nice accommodating, friendly and we would definitely stay again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cuyama Oaks Ranch, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by peaceful surroundings, breathtaking views, and a sense of calm that only a place this special can offer.
What really stood out was the hospitality of the hosts. They’ve clearly put so much thought into making guests feel at home, while still preserving the natural beauty of the land. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged.

Nate was so accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed to make the best of the scorching heat! It is a farmland out in the desert nonetheless, but the cute outhouses and showers built by Nate himself and having the cowboy tub available around the clock kept things cool and fun. There is also a little market 10 min drive away so close enough to pick up more ice and water if you need it. On a clear night without a full moon out, you can lay out under a starry night and maybe even catch a few shooting stars. Thank you Nate for the experience and memories!

A really fun, unique camping experience. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The fully stocked outdoor kitchen was amazing! Plenty of different hang out zones. As our kids are getting older they are complaining more about family camping trips, but loved this fun setup. Also, pigs so cute and friendly.

Nathan the host is super friendly and communicative. Sad we weren’t able to actually stay there. Hipcamp had an issue with instant book even though they were fully booked. Would recommend booking here in advance and/or reaching out to Nathan before hand to double check. We will definitely try again soon!!

Nathan’s campsite had everything we needed. Everything was well maintained and clean. The beds were so comfortable. There were warm blankets provided so we didn’t get cold at night. We were able to take showers and wash our hands. The compost toilet was easy to use. It’s was so nice to sit under the stars. We stayed with our toddler, dog and cat. We did have to look out for rattlesnakes but luckily didn’t see any. Our toddler enjoyed seeing the farm animals. We had a great relaxing stay. We will definitely be back!

Nate & Rickie are amazing hosts. They have put a lot of energy, care and flair into their Hipcamp for others to enjoy. The scenery and landscape are gorgeous. We loved the songbirds, yapping goats, and other chatty animals. The sites are spread apart and overall the land/place has a wonderful vibe.

We loved our stay! The sunsets and stars were amazing and Nathan was super accommodating. We enjoyed petting the animals and there was plenty of space to roam for us and our 2 dogs. The shower and composting toilet were really nice features. The whole camp site has a great vibe. Would definitely recommend!

This was such a nice campground! It was so fun to look at the different animals. We purchased the petting zoo add-on and were able to see pigs, turkeys, chickens, ducks, and goats. There are other campgrounds within sight nearby, but it wasn't an issue and still felt private. The campground was supplied with several games, cooking tools, olive oil, and basic seasonings. I would definitely recommend!

Nice to drive up to warm, enthusiastic greeting from Nate. Guided us to our well equipped site. Whole campground is spacious and delightfully funky. Love it! The views are spectacular and there are several hiking trails on this extensive property. Nate even graciously accepted my seemingly endless questions and comments. It would be way fun to be there with a group of friends. There's even a personal zoo with pigs, turkeys, goats, etc. Well worth it!

This was by far the most exceptional Hipcamp we have experienced. The property is stunning, with well maintained campsites that are clean, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with all necessary amenities. Our host, Nate, was incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating. We enjoyed a scenic hike, had the unique opportunity to interact with their farm animals, and even collected our own fresh eggs. Our campsite featured a private hot shower, adding an extra touch of comfort. The experience was so enjoyable that we are already planning our next visit.
