We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake. On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink. Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

The Yuba River, the Tahoe National Forest and South Yuba River State Park are all nearby. We have views that overlook the blue water of Bullards Bar reservoir, surrounded by mountains and trees. The quiet is enriched by sounds of birds, creek and wind. There are many walking trails throughout our private 200 acres. The Hermitage is a beautiful, light-filled studio, with high ceilings and many windows. Hand-built from wood milled on site, it is a serene space for a writing retreat. The Hermitage is located in its own small canyon where you are likely to hear and see only the wind in the trees, birds and frogs, and the occasional deer. The 300-square foot cabin includes a twin bed, propane stove and oven, small refrigerator, dining table and chairs, bathroom with shower, and is heated by a wood stove or electric heater. It is available by reservation from April 20 to November 20, and is recommended for one person. We are located in Camptonville, California, 30 miles north of Nevada City/Grass Valley off Highway 49. The Sacramento airport is a two hour drive from us; the Reno Airport is 2.5 hours away. All-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. We are seven miles off the highway on a paved road. The last mile is gravel. Your destination opens up to a panoramic view to the southwest, overlooking Bullards Bar Reservoir. You will find your journey well worth it!

The cabin is conveniently located just minutes from the north entrance of Lassen National Park. For entertainment, I have a TV (no cable)/DVD player with a selection of movies, board games, and reading material including a few books and magazines. There is timber land at the back of the property with plenty of trails to walk or ride a mountain bike (if you bring one). Lassen National Park is a short drive away. Also nearby is lake McCumber. I have a wood burning stove inside that you can use for a fire. Absolutely NO FIRES outside. There is a fire ban in effect, thank you for your cooperation and understanding. I have a propane BBQ outside that you can use, along with a picnic bench and other outside seating. I will provide a selection of tea, hot coco, coffee and oatmeal to get your day started. Be sure to bring food with you since the nearest grocery story is about 9 miles away. I will provide a basket of firewood to use during your stay, but it's a good idea to bring extra since it will go fast. Because you're in the forest, there is limited cell reception so please plan accordingly. I've found that Verizon has some signal while AT&T has none. We had a great time at the Shamballa cabin over the weekend! It’s a beautiful rustic cabin in the middle of nature. You’ll get the feel of glamping (only wood burning stove for heat, no bathrooms in the cabin or running hot water (but flush toilet and hot water sink and shower in main house)), but you’ll be staying in a beautiful cabin with comfortable beds, a kitchen to prepare meals and a cozy place to relax. We enjoyed exploring the area and hiking the Dragons nest trail (get ready for some exercise as you go up to the top!). There is so much land to see and we only saw a little bit! I imagine it’s beautiful in the Winter months also! Thank you Adam and we hope to visit another time!

The most unique hipcamp I've ever been! So much to do and so much to see, we had tons of fun! Main cabin is extremely comfty, equipped with everything you need. Deja is super friendly and flexible to our last min change, truly appreciate the flexibility. Oh, did I mention Deja's hipcamp is only 10 mins away from Oregon Creek? We spent whole day there it's so beautiful. It's perfect in every way, we will definitely come back.

This land is magical. It has the most beautiful trees and spring and variety of landscape to plant your tent. I stayed in a cabin that was huge with two very comfortable bedrooms and beds and a kitchen. It’s an eco lodge so electricity is solar and toilets are compost so be mindful of that but there’s also a guest flush toilet if really needed. So many trails to hike on. A real treat to be staying in Adam’s land.

The Wisdom Center gets my highest recommendation. Beautiful trees, tons of space, great vibes; enough creature comforts to stabilize your process while still being in touch with the land. Trinity Cabin was spacious (I was alone but a second person would have fit fine), homey, and had an above-and-beyond comfortable bed.

We had an incredible stay at the cabin on the campgrounds. The experience was more than just a getaway,it was deeply spiritual. Being surrounded by nature gave us space to slow down, reflect, and connect with one another in a meaningful way. From the stillness of the trees to the night skies filled with stars, every moment reminded us of the beauty and balance of creation. One of the things we appreciated most was not having Wi-Fi. Deja's property was just awesome. Lovely site with plenty of room to cook and hangout with friends and family. We stayed in the main cabin and it was so spacious and had plenty of room and more. We will for sure return!

Weekend Trip to BALI HUTS ON PRIVATE YUBA

I came to get away from a busy city life and to celebrate opening a restaurant. This property allowed me to completely disconnect, center and ground myself. As much as a wanted to get away from people and the world I soon realized that what I needed was to meet some truly amazing people who aligned with my core values on nature and passion. Akhi, Borro and Aldo were beyond warm and welcoming to us. They made us feel like family and I soon looked forward to bumping into them. He mentions this place to be Shangri-La and that is spot on the most perfect description of our experience on their land. Surrounded by rugged nature and wildlife with a trail walk to crystal clear sanctuary of river full of adventure and exploration. I stumbled upon this site and now am making it my regular space to recharge.
