A last minute find but so worth it. Stayed one night and the hosts were so generous and friendly. Despite camping late December and in rainy weather, my partner and I had a wonderful, cozy night. showers provided along with washer/dryers.

We ended up being the only campers on an early November day, so Wayne graciously let us choose whichever site we liked. We pitched our tent right by the communal fire pit and picnic tables instead of a designated site. The ground was easy to drive stakes into, and Wayne even offered more substantial stakes in case they were needed.
His sweet dog (Cowboy) and horse (Coco) paid some very welcome visits. They're sneaky for treats, so watch your back! ;)
A hose is nearby that supplies filtered fresh spring water, and the toilet room is very convenient. The hot showers were down due to some construction, but we enjoyed our stay a lot! We would recommend this place as a nice getaway, or as a stop on your way to the redwoods or Eureka (we did both).

It was the coziest cabin and friendliest people. The showers are nice and hot and water pressure is great.The weather got cold unexpectedly, and I was offered a heater for my little cabin.
They have trash disposal, and a more than reasonably priced laundromat.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin! The campground is in a great location giving us the opportunity to tour the amazing redwood forests. Clean bathrooms and hot showers were great. The nights got chilly so we made use of the electric heater. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip out to this beautiful, special place.

We only stayed for one night. The place is conveniently located near freeway. We appreciate the full hookup. Less to worry about when traveling. The only suggestion I would make is to make the direction and space number to the assigned space more clearly. But I think most places are like this. We arrived late so it took a little bit to look around for the assigned space to park.

What an incredible story this place has. The owners have clearly followed God's creative direction and created a heavenly oasis in the middle of the Trinity Alps. The highlight for sure is rafting down the river, which I didn't have enough time to do. This is def a family camp, stay for a few days kinda place. My studio room was big and clean and had everything I needed microwaving my dinner and a quick breakfast. Although you could happily be fed every meal and drink at the cafe!

This property is beautifully set with views of the mountains and forests all around (we got an amazing sunset!) and a stream / swimming hole with little beach right below. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, meeting us when we arrived to help us get situated, talking with us (also giving plenty of space and alone time, but always available and helpful if we needed anything), even offering fresh fruit and vegetables from their trees and garden. They have a friendly dog and horse which roam the property. Our stay was very enjoyable, peaceful, and relaxing.
The only possible downside is that it's somewhat challenging to get to--it's remote, and the handful of miles toward the end down a narrow, winding, at times unpaved (in one relatively short stretch, and then once on the property itself) road with occasional places to pass were a nail-biter, especially driving an RV--but the drive in and out was incredibly scenic and worth the experience in between.

Weekend Trip to Redwood Family Camp
It’s remote but connected to WiFi. It has hotttt showers and a safe cozy place to sleep surrounded by towering huge old growth trunks with fairy rings. It’s very chill with everything you need including laundry and power✨ so close to avenue of the giants and a few amazing hikes to the tall tree, giant tree, and ancient old growth forests. Worth it for a great price! I stayed in Cabin Love!

We absolutely loved our stay at Camp Trinidad! Hands down the best RV camp we’ve been to. The grounds are so well maintained, the sites are spotless, and the amenities are fantastic. Where to go
Around Eureka
Near Eureka, the Samoa Boat Ramp County Park offers tent and RV camping and access to Humboldt Bay and the Pacific Ocean, the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge, and Samoa Dunes Recreation Area. Several private marina and RV parks also offer access to Humboldt Bay and amenities like full hookups for RVs. Head north past Arcata to go clamming on a long stretch of beach Clam Beach County Park, and stay overnight at a tent site or in the parking lot for RVs.
North
Head north to explore the town of Trinidad, and stay in a tent, RV, or cabin at a private RV park or campground nearby. Further north, several state parks offer tent sites and RV sites along the coast, while RV sites with amenities can be found along the Klamath River at private RV parks. The Redwood National Park and state parks offer four developed campgrounds, and hike-in options for those looking to explore further. Additional options can be found in the Six Rivers National Forest.
South
South of Eureka is Humboldt Redwoods State Park, with the Avenue of Giants, hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, and three campgrounds. Explore redwoods and the Eel River, and stay overnight at Richardson Grove State Park. To escape the crowds, head to the Lost Coast and the King Range National Conservation Area, which offers several remote camps.
When to go
Summers are the most popular time for visiting Eureka, and offers the best weather for outdoor activities. Summer is also the best time for salmon fishing in the area. Area campgrounds will fill up early and should be reserved in advance where possible. Look for migrating birds in fall and spring. The popular Kinetic Grand Championship is held in May, while the Eureka Street Art Festival is held in August.
