We loved staying at Anita’s land! It was wonderfully secluded, and I loved being able to let my dog run around off-leash without worrying about bothering anyone. The dome was very comfortable, and the décor was absolutely adorable. I especially appreciated having an electric kettle in the dome so I didn’t have to go outside at night just to boil water for tea.
Although it was cloudy and we couldn’t see the stars, we still enjoyed a beautiful view of the city lights. As a solo traveler, I was a little concerned about safety at first, but my hyper-vigilant dog and the security cameras helped me feel much more at ease. Anita’s directions and instructions were clear and detailed, and I had no trouble finding the place. We’ll definitely be back!

It was a perfect little getaway for me and my fiancé as we just got engaged. The view was great but we loved how intimate and amazing the whole experience was!!

Super beautiful spot! The site itself is set up very cute and comfortable. It’s off-grid but still very usable. The site is magnificent. Beautiful rock mountains everywhere, gorgeous views, and so secluded.
I suggest triple checking directions- the names of the streets on the maps do not coincide with the actual street names. So don’t follow the maps, follow the pictures, there are sand traps everywhere.
The dome itself is also charming and all-in-all a total gem of a spot! We loved it.

The property was clean and the views were wonderful. Our dogs loved running around the property. The dome was comfortable and equipped with essentials.. the firepit, cowboy pool, and nearby benches for watching the view was wonderful.

The owner's instructions were essential! We arrived late evening (not recommended) but were able to still find the one road to the campsite. (Note: I don't believe the road that guests turn off from the main road is marked with a street sign.) This campsite was thoughtfully layed out, magically lit with lights dotted around the property. The site provided needed shade, super charging battery station, evaporative cooler, and cowboy pool that was refreshing and clean. The two water pump porta potties and gas-heated shower in the clean W.C. shed were further camp luxuries. Stargazing was amazing! Plenty of bouldering onsite. We even were able to enjoy a movie on a projector screen from within the tent. Property is not fenced off, but we felt private and safe. Host's response time was good.

1 night at The Hilltop Getaway
The Hilltop was a magical getaway in Lancaster/Palmdale area. My husband and I appreciate that Anita provided many amenities including towels, shampoo, bug spray, a blow horn, games, speakers, heater, cooler, fridge, and more to make us feel safe in a desert area. WiFi and charging outlets are provided. There is a projector screen in the tent if campers are interested in watching movies. The string lights are beautiful at night as well as furniture set up for relaxing, eating, and cooking. It’s easy to sleep at night being that the area is quiet. The pool is clean and nice but the water is on the colder side, suitable for hotter weather. A few cons about the area is that there isn’t too much to do; but if you are interested in an intimate time at the site itself with nice views of the city and small hikes around the rocky areas, this site is great. We did encounter two wild dogs run across the site, but they had scurried away. When we stayed, the shower heater was not working, as well as the heater in the tent. The off-road portion to the campsite was not too long; thus, my husband’s 2WD was just fine to use to get to the site. Hopefully, Anita can have those amenities fixed. Getting to the site was not too difficult as long as you carefully follow directions and not stray off the path. Overall, it was a nice getaway with great amenities and cute decor. I would recommend this site to those interested in a quick, magical getaway.

Group trip
This was a very cool trip for me, my son, and two of his friends for their birthdays. Even with the insane heat wave, we had a great time. The views are stunning and both sunset and sunrise were amazing. The spot has everything you need and is extremely comfortable. The cowboy tub kept us cool in the afternoon and then the temperature was beautiful during the night. We also really enjoyed the kitchen and had a great barbecue. If you forgotten anything, there’s a store literally about 5 to 10 minutes away maximum. If you love the desert and love to camp, this is the spot for you!

We loved our stay at Anita’s Hilltop getaway. Everything was perfect, the space was big and spacious. The views were amazing and the dome was very cozy. Definitely recommend getting the projector add on, it was a great movie night in the desert. One of our best trips ever!

Anita’s land was an amazing family getaway! So close but no one around. We hung out and enjoyed the sun & pool area. Hiked around the landscape for sunset. Barbecued dinner outside and watched the stars come out! Lastly a movie night in the dome. Can’t wait to come back to this little escape.

We had a fabulous time! We are a family of 4 with two young boys and we all had a blast walking the grounds, climbing rocks and watching a movie in the dome. It was really a special time for each of us and we will definitely be back!

1 night at The Hilltop Getaway
Amazing hilltop oasis in the desert! I always look for getaway properties where I can find solitude; away from other campers, roads, and the usual commotions and distractions of populated areas. This property nails it! I’m so impressed how someone can take a unique location; small plot of land in the middle of nowhere and turn it into an enchanting glamping experience.
