Beautiful natural campsites in the Valley of the Moon (Ojai Valley). Our sites are within an eighth of a mile of walking, running, biking, and riding trails from Ojai to the beaches of Ventura. On many days you can experience Ojai’s famous pink moments. You can hike the trails above Ojai, boat, eat, or picnic at Lake Casitas. Travel to nearby Ventura to shop, fish the pier, or take a deep sea fishing charter or Island charter to Whale watch or fish around the Channel Islands. Please note the aerial view of the camping area recently placed by Hipcamp is NOT AT ALL REPRESENTATIVE of the current camping sites and shows a photo that is many years old when the site was merely land. That photo is without any of the existing amenities or improvements. The actual sites are all Larger than Federal Park and Statepark guidelines, with averages of 20'x30' for campsites and 20'x40' for a long RVCampsite. We have planted many young trees and continue to plant trees and native shrubs around and near the sites. We have picnic tables, table coverings, fire pits, and camping rugs/footprints. There is also an outdoor shower, a shower tent with hot water, and an upgraded porta-potty with a sink. Note: During times when high heat is predicted, we strongly recommend that our Hipcampers bring pop-up shade tents or canopies for their sites. The Hipcamp is adjacent to our working ranch, and any photos of old sheds, trucks, a wood lot, or other equipment are NOT on the Hipcamp, but you will drive past that property to get to the separate Hipcamp area. Wineries, Farmer's Markets, Craft Breweries, dispensaries, and more are within 10 to 15 minutes of our site. Our location allows moments when you may see Hawks, Owls, Geese, Swallows, Robins, Bluebirds, and more. We offer both tent and RV camping. Also gave us a plethora of places to go and things to do in the Ojai area. The area was open and spacious, and many trees and upgrades were in the works to make future stays more user-friendly. Wonderful services and even better property. Everything from the bathroom decor and the interior of the teardrop trailer, to the small details around the yard that made the experience live up to its name. The hosts hospitality and responsiveness to our delays in arrival was very earnest and friendly, and their service was overall wonderful. Very cozy, very pampering, amazing hot tub. We didn’t get to use the beautiful pool with waterslide and grotto. And I haven’t even mentioned the great view, the awesome cave shower and the many kitties roaming around. A perfect getaway. Recommend 100%

Nice spot! We enjoyed our stay. Was nice to have water and electricity. There’s a bit of construction going on with the property but didn’t really bother us at all. Nice views and cool to be able to have fires as well. Definitely recommend!

I'm glad we booked this place. We were worried when we pulled in to the entrance, but once we got to the campground, we were extremely happy. The sites are large, the views are good, the shower is GREAT. Vivian has put thought into the configuration of the sites and it show. Trees and rocks are strategically placed, and as the trees grow, the place will only get better. Communication was good and we enjoyed the area.

This spot is absolutely amazing. It's super hidden but only two minutes from the city and anything you may need, that said it feels like a world away. The property, pool and everything else were great. There is so much cool hidden art to discover and the retro decor is awesome. Morgan and Brooke were super nice and helpful giving us a tour and we had everything we needed for the night. The camper was super comfy with warm bedding and it is literally one step to your private hot tub. Some reviews mentioned tight spaces, and it is a small camper but I'm 6'2 and big guy and me and girlfriend fit totally fine and the bed was more than big enough. I can't say enough good things about this spot! I would just make you you bring what you need. We had takeout delivered and brought our own drinkware. A small mini fridge was provided which was perfect for us, but they have a giant outdoor kitchen you can add on if you need more than that! Can't wait to come back to stay, and to rent the pool in the summer! Awesome cute cats too!

Super beautiful spot! The site itself is set up very cute and comfortable. It’s off-grid but still very usable. The site is magnificent. Beautiful rock mountains everywhere, gorgeous views, and so secluded. I suggest triple checking directions- the names of the streets on the maps do not coincide with the actual street names. So don’t follow the maps, follow the pictures, there are sand traps everywhere. The dome itself is also charming and all-in-all a total gem of a spot! We loved it.

Everything about our stay was absolutely lovely. The home itself is warm and inviting with everything I needed to cook there and enjoy a nice weekend away. It’s also surrounded by a private fence so it made us feel even more disconnected from the world, making our trip that much more relaxing. Definitely a place worth staying over and over again. The bed was super comfortable and there was almost no outside noise to disturb us but the best part had to be the stargazing. The view of the night time sky was breathtaking. This has been my favorite place to stay.

Vivian’s ranch was a great experience to host my family’s first camping trip with kids. It was close to services and pizza for the little ones, was quiet, had lots of birds and nature sounds, and the facilities were clean and in working order. Their ranch has a lot of potential, and I’m excited to see how it improves over time with all of the hard work they’re putting into it and the trees they’ve been planting.

I feel like I never quite know what to expect from photos/ reviews until I see a space in person. I was VERY glad I chose this particular site; it felt more private, shaded, and spacious than the others. There was only one other group present while we were there and they were at the opposite side of the property. If all of the campsites were full, I’d imagine it would feel quite intimate. The road is also right there, which diminishes a bit of the outdoor adventure feeling. The shower was amazing, the porta potty was absolutely fine in my opinion and the property was clearly well taken care of. We loved nestling under the oak trees and listening to the birds. The property was easy to find, there’s lots nearby, Vivian shared plenty of good information and offered quick responses in communication. I think if you’re looking for a private outdoor adventure, this isn’t quite it, but it IS everything it’s advertised to be and we had an excellent time.

2 nights at The White Lodge
As soon as you step foot on the property you feel like you’ve left the hustle and bustle of LA, the outdoor space has a 60’s Yosemite National Park vibe. The decor is adorable with lots of fun things to discover. Everything is perfectly laid out, great landscaping with ambient lighting at night, paths to multiple sitting locations and a cute little smoking area. The bathroom is a short walk from trailer. Plenty of nice clean towels! The pool is beautiful with a cool little grotto sitting area, water slide with water fall. Cave shower that was a fun experience. Morgan and Brooke created something special with this place. They were both kind and helpful with questions. Morgan is a fascinating guy and he even invited us to his dj gig which we loved. They have an amazing catio for their sweet cats. The camper is adorable! The mattress was very comfortable, we slept well! Loved watching the funny horror movies streaming on Night Flight! There’s cozy extra blankets, gorgeous wood interior, adorable dining area. Lots of storage space for our carry ons and supplies. Many windows, a fan for air flow, kept things cool. Outside the camper Morgan set up a refrigerated cooler. The hot tub is perfect for two people with a lovely view. It was so relaxing and had a secluded feel to the space. Loved it! There’s a trashcan next to the camper, ample recycling & trash cans throughout the property. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, parked car close to the property with street parking.

Weekend Trip to The Hilltop Getaway
The owner's instructions were essential! We arrived late evening (not recommended) but were able to still find the one road to the campsite.  (Note: I don't believe the road that guests turn off from the main road is marked with a street sign.) This campsite was thoughtfully layed out, magically lit with lights dotted around the property. The site provided needed shade, super charging battery station, evaporative cooler, and cowboy pool that was refreshing and clean. The two water pump porta potties and gas-heated shower in the clean W.C. shed were further camp luxuries.  Stargazing was amazing! Plenty of bouldering onsite. We even were able to enjoy a movie on a projector screen from within the tent. Property is not fenced off, but we felt private and safe.  Host's response time was good.

The Hilltop was a magical getaway in Lancaster/Palmdale area. My husband and I appreciate that Anita provided many amenities including towels, shampoo, bug spray, a blow horn, games, speakers, heater, cooler, fridge, and more to make us feel safe in a desert area. WiFi and charging outlets are provided. There is a projector screen in the tent if campers are interested in watching movies. The string lights are beautiful at night as well as furniture set up for relaxing, eating, and cooking. It’s easy to sleep at night being that the area is quiet. The pool is clean and nice but the water is on the colder side, suitable for hotter weather. A few cons about the area is that there isn’t too much to do; but if you are interested in an intimate time at the site itself with nice views of the city and small hikes around the rocky areas, this site is great. We did encounter two wild dogs run across the site, but they had scurried away. When we stayed, the shower heater was not working, as well as the heater in the tent. The off-road portion to the campsite was not too long; thus, my husband’s 2WD was just fine to use to get to the site. Hopefully, Anita can have those amenities fixed. Getting to the site was not too difficult as long as you carefully follow directions and not stray off the path. Overall, it was a nice getaway with great amenities and cute decor. I would recommend this site to those interested in a quick, magical getaway.
