1 night at New Yurt City

Had a wonderful stay, besides the wind it's was amazing! Definitely going back soon! The host was helpful and responsive. It was my first time camping in the desert and my boyfriend's first time camping ever and we both had a wonderful experience here.

What an amazing experience tent camping at Bear Hollow Campsite. The hosts were so kind and helpful while also giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy their beautiful forest landscape. My girlfriend and I had a beautiful time and would 100% recommend this spot to any campers.

This was such an awesome experience! Kyle is super welcoming and the property has such a cool space to explore, relax, play and just have a great time overall! I will definitely be coming back to hopefully help with some of the projects and do some more stargazing!

Awesome hosts ! Large camping site has some great touches including horseshoe pit, double swing chairs and propane fire pit. Great location right next to preservation land. Highly recommended.

1 night at New Yurt City

This hipcamp experience was what I call ‘travel magic’. I arrived in the dark and was soon greeted by the sweetest dog ever. The location was exactly what I wanted; complete peace in the middle of the desert. The host greeted me like we were lifelong friends and took me for a tour of his property. In the morning a different but equally sweet dog came to check in on me after I woke up. My only regret is that I could not stay longer to go offroading but will be back again. By all means come out and support these great people.

Kyle’s land was unique, to us it was a special gem! Absolutely beautiful sites with lots of furry friends 🥰 we could have campfires which was a huge perk for us so we didn’t have to go out all the time! If you love to stargaze or even love AtVs rides this is the perfect spot . They have a really good deal for renting/tours! They even have outside bathrooms (outhouse style), and showers! Thank you for everything! We can’t wait to come back😊

1 night at Wild Wash Regenerative Ranch

Roy did a great job of creating a super private little camp site. The views were spectacular and it was close to a lot of cool activities! I would definitely recommend!!

I really appreciate that this wonderful family shared their farm with me. I found the spot to be very special with a beautiful view of the canyon. I can’t remember ever having honey that was so amazing. I wish I bought more.

11 nights at New Yurt City

Land access simple; even though I got stuck, management kindly change that by getting me unstuck. Much appreciated! After getting unstuck I was able to settle in for an enjoyable kickback with a night of stargazing. Definitely a place to check out so you can check back in..., and; as a bonus, they have ATV & dirt bike rental. The trails, stargazing, people and visiting dogs are a welcomed experience.

1 night at Wild Wash Regenerative Ranch

The property has a sweet, private enclosure to pitch your tent with a firepit, table and chairs, and water. And some pretty sweet dogs to greet you. :) It was also cool to see the early stages of a desert permaculture farm.

2 nights at Bear Hollow Camp Site

Such a beautiful spot! Very quiet and chill. Hosts were so cool. We had some wild donkeys come around both morning we were there. They have goats, chickens, and a cool propane fire pit. Very close to everything, hope to be back again one day!

New Yurt City is one of those hidden gems. The daily views are breathtaking. You can see every star down to the horizon, sunsets are amazing with snow capped mountains. There are lots to do nearby: 30min to ski resort, 1hour to the beach. Near lots of national parks and centrally located. It’s got a small town feel with amazing food trucks with handmade taco 5 mins away. We have atvs and Dirtbikes for rent, a beautiful garden with lots of fresh rosemary and lavender to share.

Cold Creek Estates

Cold Creek is a unique 112-acre property in the San Bernardino National Forest. Because of its location in a 3,200 foot elevation, it's colder than the Southern California deserts and warmer than the cold mountains above us. Our temperatures rarely exceed 90F and rarely drop below 40F. We have plenty sun and about two to three days of snow every winter. A year-around creek keeps everything green and fresh around the year. We are the second owners since 1913, and operate a small organic orchard on the property. We are most famous for our honey, peaches and figs, but also grow apples, pears, persimmon, blackberries, greens, bay leaf, white sage and more.For years , we were WWOOF hosts (look it up ;-) and resisted opening up Cold Creek to traffic associated with daily camping arrivals, but we finally found the perfect spots for visitors to park their RVs, spend a quiet night and visit the orchard by foot.We are now excited by the prospect of focusing on expanding our micro-farming and inviting campers to look over our shoulders.

Property is located in an idyllic canyon among ponderosa and Jeffrey pine forest. We are surrounded by national forest offering unparalleled privacy and serenity. There is absolutely no smoking on property. The area is surrounded by trees and wildlife and susceptible to spark. Again, absolutely no smoking. Propane ONLY firepit and grill access - please bring your own propane or you can purchase from us thru "extras". Please note: 1. This is also a working farm/homestead with chickens, some ducks, a cat and a well trained GSP dog. We do get the occasional wild burro. 2. If you are bringing a pet please let us know - our acreage is NOT fenced in and there are wild animals (coyotes bears burros etc).. 3. There is absolutely no smoking on property. The area is surrounded by trees and wildlife and susceptible to spark. Again, absolutely no smoking.
