Our property happens to be 1.5 miles from the famous Baghdad Cafe which makes a quick visit to the Cafe incredibly convenient. To celebrate our Pistachios, come join us the first Saturday of every November for our Pistachio Festival which boasts lots of vendors, food, and fun! Speaking of festivals, if you like large firework shows in the sky, then you'll want to be sure to book a spot here every July 3rd for our big 3rd of July Festival which again, is home to lots of vendors, food, fun and an amazing firework display which we happen to have front row seats to. Tranqvillium was purchased in 2016 with the intention of creating Gaia Earthen Technologies Sustainable Living Educational and Research Center. Construction started in 2016 and now we have our first temporary building and working on the others. The daily operation is run by Tranqvillium, an intentional community of people who don't like to spend their money on rent and utility bills.Learn more about this land:The location is about an hour west of Las Vegas in the California Mojave Desert. Even though the lights of Vegas are visible on the Eastern horizon, above Tranqvillium there is no light pollution and the entirety of the visible part of the Milky Way is shining down on us. Tecopa Hot Springs is 30 min West from us, along with China Ranch date farm. From China ranch it's a 40 min hike through Mars like terrain to a swimming hole complete with a small waterfall, where the Amargosa River comes above ground. The ancient lake bed where Tranqvillium is located is surrounded by medium height mountains, which are perfect for rock scrambling, and the world famous Red Rock climbing site is nearby too. The place is very rugged and is recommended for experienced campers who are not taken aback by wilderness living.

What an incredible experience! My husband, fur baby, and I had such a fun time visiting all the animals on the property❤️ Elvis the donkey was definitely a highlight of the trip. Like a giant puppy!🥰 The random visits all through the day and night by the friendly farm dogs and a nice hot outdoor shower under the beautiful stars were the cherry on top. 10/10 experience

It rained during the day so there was a huge puddle leading to their side gate, and we slid getting in through the gate on the mud. I’m sure on a drier day though, it is much easier to get in. They met us at the road, and were super helpful and accommodating. Happy we were able to use our generator :)

We absolutely loved it here! We were in town for work and stayed with Jacob and his family for 2 months! We couldnt have asked for better hosts. They were extremely nice and very accommodating for our work trailer too! Great for long stays and explorations! We got the chance to go rock hunting and cut open some very cool rocks! Our dog loved how open the property was and the friends across the street. Would recommend Jacob and Jeanettes little paradise to anyone, long stay or short! This was my first experience with a HipCamp campground so I was a little apprehensive of what it would be like. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. We have traveled and camped for many years and never have been treated as well as we were by Jacob and Jeanette. From giving us ice from there home to providing us we anything we needed this was a first class camping experience. I would go back just to visit with them again. The area was nice too. The high desert next to our camp spot was very nice and my wife saw her first roadrunner while walking there, a bucket list achievement.

We loved staying at Sandy Valley Ranch in the tipi. It was a unique stay with all the amenities one would need to be comfortable. The tipi was perfect for 2 adults and we slept well. The outdoor kitchen and campfire cooking tools were more than enough for a glamper to make a meal. The facilities were close and clean. The valley is the real star of the show with incredible sunrises, sunsets and night skies. Thank you for sharing your ranch with us.

The tee pee was really cool, our kids (5 and 9 yo) loved the adventure! We enjoyed the fire pit and the stars at night. Very peaceful, remote and a fun experience for us all. We did bring an air mattress for the kids and extra bedding as well.

A lovely stay in a beautiful and cozy setup. We were worried we might be chilly as temps weren’t too high, but the site was well equipped with heated blankets, extra blankets, and a space heater. The hosts also responded very promptly when the propane tank for the space heater had run empty. We also loved the outdoor shower and kitchen. Overall a great spot to stay, and a great experience spending time on the ranch and in the nearby town!

Such a great place with the best hosts! Had absolutely no issues getting in and set up. Jacob & Jeanette left a pile of firewood for me and offered up ice or anything else I needed. After getting trapped in Afton Canyon for a very long day (but making it back after nightfall) both hosts checked in on me that night and in the morning. It was so nice knowing I had some people caring about my wellbeing and knowing where I was on my solo travel incase anything went sideways. Also, Jacob met me with a thunder egg he cut open for me and rockhounded himself right behind their property! Nothing makes me happier than a dog or a cool rock 🤘🏽 love this place and definitely need to come back as there is so much to explore in the area

I dont even know where to start on expressing my gratitude about this place. The tepee is wonderful, its so gorgeous and so well maintained, you can clearly see how they truly care about your experience, the ranch animals are amazing and the ranch dogs will come around to give you cuddles which its a huge plus. But foremost I would like to highlight my personal experience with Sandi the manager of the ranch, I left something super important at the ranch and she went above and beyond to make sure it would get to me in time, I cant express enough my gratitude on that and how this is clearly more than a business, its a place with such good caring people and amazing glamping sites at the same time. Thank you so much for an amazing night out under the starts and also for helping me on a personal level. I would absolutely come back! You should DEFINITELY stay in this place❤️

We really enjoyed our time at the ranch with and overnight in the Eagle Feather tipi. Beautiful outside and inside the tipi. Comfortable even in low temperatures. Nice deck and kitchen setup with a campfire under the stars. Wish we could have stayed another night!
