She is polite and good with children. Some of you may not like dogs, if that is the case this will not be a fun experience for you. The campground offers hot showers and flush toilets, two sites in the Glade have running water and power. The cabin is a fully equipped studio with kitchen and bathroom. You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates. We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all. We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others. We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

Welcome to our land in the beautiful wilderness of upper Calistoga. Our land is a nature experience, with some development of trails and amenities, at our family land just 10 minutes outside of Calistoga with all the wineries, spas, and restaurants. The hilltop (where Coral Cabin is located) has electricity and wifi, and is a common area for all campers. The main house and deck are not part of the hipcamp; the tenants are a nice family and caretakers of the land, but not the hosts so please do not disturb. Our sites are no frills, cute and rustic, and “user responsible” meaning the price includes basic “leave no trace”cleaning guidelines. Because of this, communication with Dan is super important to ensure expectations are clear for you and us, our land is respected, and you have a great time! Rules for all sites, read before you book! 1. We provide trash bags and ask that you take all trash and recycling to the bottom of the driveway, in the 'hipcamp' trash bin provided (smaller grey bin by mailbox). 2. We have a compost toilet system designed by a graduate of the Occidental Ecology Center permaculture course. It has pros and cons, but when operated correctly, it is a good system: All you gotta do is add mulch (which is any dried leaves or grass), on top of your own biz and it begins to break down waste immediately, including smell. If in doubt, add more mulch; you can find it in a bin by the toilet or gather a handful at time of service. Or: There are also nice coffee shops in town:) 3. The nature of our land being wild, there are no wood fires allowed. We have propane fire pits, and ask guests to use extreme caution with bug candles or smoking anything. We currently have 3 campsites. Please see descriptions for each campsite access and services available. *The Hilltop/Coral Cabin has the best large RV access, Wi-Fi and electricity, and the best views. Each campsite has a gas camping stove and compost toilet. You will see lots of wildlife! Beautiful birds song every morning, little lizards everywhere, turkeys, a toad here and there! You can hike the extent of our 34 acres on fire roads that lead to the top of the Whaleback Ridge, seen in the distance from all camps. That would be an epic sunset hike! We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day. In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite. The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center. PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this. PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! My wife and I loved staying at the dome site. It’s an amazing site with so much privacy. We loved the plunge pool, as well as all the amenities inside the dome. Geoff I was a great host and gave us a tour when we arrived. If you want to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet, definitely stay at the dome site.

Weekend Trip to Ettawa Springs Resort

Nora is a great host. She is very responsive to my question. And she make us know just to text her if we need something or other question. The running water in the creek was a bonus. Its like ambient sound which we like. (We have automatic singing bowl running when we sleep for ambient sound) There is a ceiling fan. But if you are a hot sleeper like my husband ( he uses aircon in wintet, that how hot sleeper he is) bring a portable desk dan. For me, the temp was perfect. Not too hot and not too cold. The cabin was very clean. The kitchen is furnished what we need for cooking. It has utensils. There is also a pot for making hot water for coffee, tea or instant noodles. Its pet friendly so we brought our dog

Weekend Trip to Perfect Getaway with Private Creeks

We absolutely loved camping at Confluence Ranch. The property was beauitful and well maintained. The creeks were idyllic and excellent for swimming and day lounging. The outdoor shower was an excellent added ammenity. Would highly recommend to friends looking to book a fun outing with a medium-large group.

We loved our weekend at the Coral Cabin on Dan’s land. Almost like camping but with a comfy bed, coffee maker and fridge, and not far from town, it was a beautiful (the view!) quiet place to get away to with our dogs. Dan’s directions were clear and he is a friendly, responsive host. Strongly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Valley Ranch Retreat

This is our second time at Geoffrey's spot, specifically at the Dome and it has only improved thru the years! We needed to get away from the craziness of the July 4th festivities because our dogs have huge fireworks anxiety. Luckily, this place is remote enough but still just a little over an hour from Sacramento! Geoffrey has made great improvements: shower, porta-potty, and swamp cooler which made us humans comfy. But for the fur babies, they had a blast in the bigger pond! I'm sure we'll be back!

The 250 square foot cabin has an air conditioner for the summer months, a wood stove or electric heater for the winter months.

Weekend Trip to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Glamping

We had a fantastic stay at the Sugarloaf Ridge glamping site. The facilities and campground were exceptionally clean and well maintained, and it was obvious that the staff take a lot of pride in keeping everything in great shape. Everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. One of our favorite parts was the easy access to Sonoma Creek. It was a wonderful place to explore, and we saw an incredible amount of wildlife throughout our stay, making every walk feel like a new adventure. The absolute highlight was the Fourth of July night hike to Bald Mountain. We were blown away by the amount of effort the park staff and volunteers put into making the evening such a fun, memorable, and educational experience. From the organization to the activities and the enthusiasm of everyone involved, it was clear how much they care about helping visitors connect with the park. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to camp or glamp in Sonoma County, Sugarloaf Ridge is an easy recommendation. We’ll definitely be back!

My first glamping experience was very good. I really liked the tent—it was spacious and cozy. Inside, we had a queen bed and four chairs, plus four chairs outside and firewood for the campfire. The glamping tents were set up fairly close to each other on smaller sites, which was the only small downside. Other than that, everything was really cool and relaxing.

Weekend Trip to Ettawa Springs Resort

We very much enjoyed our stay! The cabin is the perfect size for two people and we loved having the creek right outside. Our goal was to escape the firework noise during Independence Day weekend. This is a great spot to get away from the city and enjoy the natural surroundings. We appreciated having a private kitchen and bathroom, as well. It was lovely to meet Nora and Goldberry and we would love to stay again!

Absolutely everything!! We slept amazingly with the incredible mattress & sheets! We were treated like royalty and timed it for a live band, fireworks and BBQ over the 4th of July weekend! John, the host is a 10 star in our book!! The Siver Stream restroom is air conditioned and has an area to cool down and relax! The attached outdoor shower, portable pool and electric guard gate are a plus!! Gorgeous views all around!

Dan's land has beautiful panoramic views. The cabin is near a larger house, but the set up allows for maximum privacy. The cabin is cute and cozy. Comfortable bedding is provided. There is a compost toilet, a hot water outdoor shower, and an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Many kitchen supplies are available. The campsite allows relaxation while still being connected by cell phone and wifi. It's a special place. Highly recommended.

This was one of the most memorable stays I've ever had. We felt genuinely welcome. A beautiful space that slows you down, connect with nature, being present. The vortex lights in the tipi were amazing (nice perk) One of the highlights was meeting Karma, an incredibly talented visionary artist who generously shared a deeply personal Tibetan singing bowl and sound bath (thank you!). It allowed me to sit still, like really still, and the generosity and unique perspective made me feel like I've met these people in a different life. You will leave feeling different, no matter what you are seeking.

The dome was incredible! Even off grid, there was electricity for refrigerator, swamp cooler and fans from solar power! It was a very hot weekend but we hiked early in the morning and between the trees and the canopy there was ample shade. Thanks Goeff for providing my dogs and me a private retreat!
