This is an off-grid glamping cabin. The parking area is just down the hill from the cabin. It's a short walk up to the cabin, you will need to across the foot bridge over the creek and up a few steps to the cabin. The terrain on the property could be muddy or loose at times. Always watch your footing. There is no running water, but there is an 8-gallon jug over the sink for drinking and washing. Extra water available for longer stays. Composting toilet outhouse behind the cabin. Compost toilet bucket is cleaned out after every guest. Propane hot water shower is only available in the warmer months (usually April through October). The cabin is powered by a small solar panel setup. Please do not plug in any personal devices. They could damage the electrical system or overwork it. USB charging dock for phones, laptops, etc. Good cell service with most providers. Basic LED lighting. Direct vent propane heater. Full size memory foam mattress with plenty of warm blankets. There is a two-burner propane cooktop and mini fridge. Bowls, plates, cups and silverware for two guests. Basic food prep items are also available. Our 3 acres are on the road leading to Buffalo Point river access on the Buffalo National River.
The property has history - you can see remnants of the Lynch in-ground waterslide locals enjoyed in the 70s winding down our ridge. The Baker Lodge was built on the slide entrance, with our sleeping cabins overlooking both the trees down the ridge and the slide. The house on property was once a restaurant and was converted to a duplex to host travelers to the Buffalo River years ago.

Kitchen, shower, composting toilet, deck, comfy linens and firepits bring you back to yourself! This tiny home is on 4 acres that is close to town but secluded by woods and nature.
The house utilizes a composting toilet and greywater systems, emphasizing sustainability. We designed this as a place to unplug, so don't have WiFi, a microwave or a TV.
The water is set to HOT, and we have it set there because the hot water heater is a travel trailer size, so it only puts out a small amount of hot water. Please don't burn your hands washing them!
Also feel free to turn it down if you need to, it is right under the kitchen sink.
We recommend expecting a quick shower or turning the water off and on to soak your hair if you need to wash it and then lathering up.
If the house is smelling bad in the bathroom, that is not normal and we will come and fix it.

All guests have access to our clean two-unit bathhouse with hot showers, treehouse play area, trails, fishing pond, and our new hillside group fire pit for evening gatherings under dark, starry skies.
Check-in is simple and self-guided, making arrivals easy at any time. Firewood is available for purchase, and kayaks and life jackets may be borrowed—just message us first and return them in good condition.
We encourage guests to explore the property’s trails, enjoy catch-and-release fishing, or head to the river for paddling and swimming. The Buffalo River Trail crosses South Maumee Road and leads to stunning bluffs and seasonal waterfalls. With an Arkansas fishing license, you can fish both on-site and in the Buffalo.
Nearby towns Marshall and Leslie offer great local restaurants like Skylark Café and Red River Café. Blanchard Springs Caverns, only 30 miles away, makes for an incredible day trip.
Dog Policy: We are dog friendly for RVs and cabins, but dogs must remain leashed and owners must clean up after them. Please note that tent campers should only bring experienced outdoor dogs—many indoor-only pets bark all night due to wildlife sounds, which disturbs the entire campground.

This is an off-grid glamping cabin. The parking area is just down the hill from the cabin. It's a short walk up to the cabin, you will need to across the foot bridge over the creek and up a few steps to the cabin. The terrain on the property could be muddy or loose at times. Always watch your footing. There is no running water, but there is an 8-gallon jug over the sink for drinking and washing. Extra water available for longer stays. Composting toilet outhouse behind the cabin. Compost toilet bucket is cleaned out after every guest. Propane hot water shower is only available in the warmer months (usually April through October). The cabin is powered by a small solar panel setup. Please do not plug in any personal devices. They could damage the electrical system or overwork it. USB charging dock for phones, laptops, etc. Good cell service with most providers. Basic LED lighting. Direct vent propane heater. Full size memory foam mattress with plenty of warm blankets. The property has history - you can see remnants of the Lynch in-ground waterslide locals enjoyed in the 70s winding down our ridge. The house utilizes a composting toilet and greywater systems, emphasizing sustainability. We designed this as a place to unplug, so don't have WiFi, a microwave or a TV.
The water is set to HOT, and we have it set there because the hot water heater is a travel trailer size, so it only puts out a small amount of hot water. Please don't burn your hands washing them!
Also feel free to turn it down if you need to, it is right under the kitchen sink.
We recommend expecting a quick shower or turning the water off and on to soak your hair if you need to wash it and then lathering up.
If the house is smelling bad in the bathroom, that is not normal and we will come and fix it.

We had such a wonderful stay at this secluded cabin in Jasper, Arkansas. The privacy and the hot tub were absolutely the highlights — exactly what we were hoping for. I have an overreactive dog, so I was a little nervous at first when we noticed a couple of free‑range dogs around the property. They checked us out briefly and then went on their way. A Husky stopped by twice a day just to say hello before wandering back home.
There’s also a lovely little creek on the property, perfect for sitting beside and listening to the water. Both of my dogs adored it — they were in heaven the entire trip.
Kara, the owner, was incredibly helpful and attentive to anything we needed. Her kindness made the stay even better. We will definitely be back!

This was an oasis of beauty and healing. I was a solo female camper. Mizzy was a great host and I could see her working to maintain the camp to its beauty. I felt very safe. The hippy van was great. The bathroom was clean and I enjoyed all the special nature decor around the camp. Perfect views. Great fire pits. Loved the drive up the gravel road and back it’s breathtaking. Mizzy is there for you if you need her. Will be back. Thank you for letting me heal my heart and nervous system here this weekend! Peak fall leaves! My beagle Liberty enjoyed it too?

This cabin and location are perfection. The amount of well-honed craft that went into building the cabin and its outbuildings like the shower and outhouse are stunning, but so, too, the thought that went into making a comfortable space for guests. The mini-fridge and the large amount of water in the kitchen were so welcome. The meandering trails made my dogs so happy as we walked them several times a day. Even the light fixtures are worth gazing upon. I left here rested and restored.

Wonderful peaceful secluded getaway. This cozy cabin was just what was needed. The kitchen had the necessary items for stove top meals. The bed and linens where comfortable for a good nights sleep. A well kept outhouse. And a nice porch to sit in nature or if rain or cold a big window so you can sit inside and not feel too removed from the outdoors.

It was an enchanted experience, for sure. We stayed in the Container Home and it was absolutely perfect. It was nestled away from the other sites with its very own view of the magical tree line. Mizzy is the host with the most. Her presence and energy matched the peaceful vibes of the environment and she made sure we had everything we could need. Her land was absolutely beautiful, with just a short walk to the creek. The road to the campsite was a bit rugged, but small vehicles seemed to make their way to this hideaway as well as 4x4s. Definitely will visit again.

Weekend Trip to The Ridge at Buffalo Point
We had so much fun at this cabin! It’s the right size for a weekend getaway with a bed, small Roku TV, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, grill, and fire pit. The private bathhouse was a short walk from the cabin and was nice after a long day of outdoor activities. The property also offers a disc golf totem, swings, and open area to run around in. The location is also really close to the lower area of the Buffalo River. Easily a 5-10 minute drive to anything. Also, loved having Wild Bills, a gas station and convenience store, a short walk away for anything we forgot or needed. Loved meeting the gray kitty on the property. He was an absolute sweetheart and loved pets. Would definitely stay here again!!
