There was definitely a lot of attention to detail in creating this space. My husband and I are older and we often have friends who are nervous about camping. Due to some issues with receiving our new van, we basically lost a day of our trip, so we didn't get to spend the night at Iron Quail as planned. We kept Michael informed and did stop by for a quick look at his ranch and take advantage of his modern outhouse (full bathhouse) which was great. Michael was a great host and showed us around his ranch and taught us about it all. He was very patient and nice to our 7-year-old granddaughter answering all her questions and allowing her to pet the dogs, goats, and chickens. She loved the experience. Thanks Michael and hope to make it back so we can spend a night in the dark desert!

Beautiful desert property! You can see they put a lot of work into it. We stayed there as a “quick” way to get to kitt peak observatory, which you can see from the campsite!! It is an hour drive up but that’s about as close as you can camp to the observatory!
