We had a lovely stay at Gary and Daren’s! The views were lovely, and there were lots of little nature walks around the area which were peaceful and quaint. The facilities were great! I can’t say enough good things about our experience at sacred Springs. But before I get to the property, let me tell you about the hosts. We had first planned on going to the property a month ago and had some serious car troubles that made that journey impossible. I’m pretty cynical, so typically anywhere that I’ve paid some amount of money to put a deposit down and circumstances have come up that impacted our ability to get somewhere ,not the place we were going, I usually just consider the deposit given as a loss. Never to be see again. “ thanks for playing, but sorry we have to keep your money because we are uncaring un-empathetic, greedy bastards.” That was not even remotely close to the experience we had BEFORE even making it there. We reached out to inform Gary and Darrell that we would be unable to make it, sadly but would be looking forward to coming in the future. These remarkable gentlemen who were so kind throughout the entire communication process before we even booked, continued this kindness and added empathy and sympathy for our situation. Still emailing and talking to us while we were in the midst of a horrific experience with our vehicle, not near our home and dealing with the costs and every other negative you could have. These two were like a ray of sunshine. Their gracious and sincere words in the emails and their hospitality and generosity is like nothing I’ve seen in years… decades even. They refunded us and offered a complimentary stay.

Beautiful, well-maintained property overlooking I-17. My wife and I only stayed for a short time, but it was great! There was a hot shower and a flush toilet, which was a savior considering that our campervan's toilet wasn't working (don't rent a van from IndieCampers). There were a bunch of other amenities provided as well, and Gary was super nice and welcoming. The ONLY thing I think could be improved is that my tired brain could not figure out which direction to turn the faucet in the shower for hot water, but that was mostly my fault 😁

This spot was ideal for a one-night stop on my way to Sedona. All of the animals are very calm and friendly with people, especially the horses. The view of the mountains and stars is really beautiful. Holly and her family are very kind and welcoming, and also allow visitors their own space. I stayed at Sunset camp which is a patch near the gate, good for self-contained car/tent camping. Heard the roosters in the morning! Rustic and cool spot.

Our group of 4 absolutely loved this beautiful campsite for its scenic views, spacious site, and fun trail that led down to the creek. We were happily surprised by all of the paddle boards and kayaks readily available for us to use as a group of 4 to explore the water and gorgeous fall colors! Gary is hands down the best host with how attentive, caring, and kind he was to us. My husband and I didn’t have the best sleeping bags for the 40-degree nights, so Gary was kind enough to let us borrow 2 sleeping bags that allowed us to sleep so much better the second night of our stay. We cannot wait to come back to Sacred Springs again soon!

We had a great experience overall! Christine was flexible and understanding when we needed to change the dates of our stay. My daughter really enjoyed the property, especially the tire swing and hammock. It was a bit odd to us having a host on the property and around so much but Bill was helpful and friendly! Would recommend refinishing the benches and barstools on the deck as the wood was chipping in areas and could cause splinters. Some cushions on the benches would also add some more comfort but overall the deck was great for entertaining and relaxing. The inside was cozy and clean, had just the right amount of supplies for our stay. My daughter asked when we could go back before we even left, so we are looking forward to staying again sometime. Highly recommend!

The Otterlimits was the perfect spot for us to regroup on our road trip. The mesquite grove lends to the peaceful atmosphere. The property itself, butts up to the National Forest, and is a short walk to the Verde River, and a floaters take out. On down the road is an amazing view of the river and rock formations, with a view of cliff dwellings and picnic tables. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Our stay at Sacred Spring was absolutely wonderful! From the very beginning, our hosts Gary and Daren were exceptional — incredibly kind, thoughtful, and great communicators both before and during our visit. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate my birthday weekend with family, making extra accommodations that made the trip feel truly special. The property itself is magical. The sunsets were breathtaking, the land peaceful and full of beauty. We loved exploring the hike down to the canyon and creek — it felt like a hidden paradise. The paddle boards and kayak added so much fun to our days, and every part of the stay felt relaxing and rejuvenating. You can tell Gary and Daren pour their hearts into this place. It’s the perfect mix of comfort, adventure, and serenity. We can’t wait to come back! 🌿✨

Our host went above and beyond to make everything about this experience amazing. The stay was so soulful. We took the opportunity for river kayaking, and it was made so easy with our hosts help. We were blessed to be able take the time to spend a quiet day painting rocks and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A few nights under the stars on the loft deck were the reset we needed. Can’t boast more about this stay. Highly recommend all of it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sacred Springs. Gary and Daren have created a very special place with great energy. You can tell they love this place and want their guests to enjoy it as much as they do. They are happy to make recommendations for great hikes and adventures in the local area or you can just hang out and swim, kayak or paddle board in their beautiful creek front riparian area. My only concern was the proximity to the freeway and the noise associated with it. But I can honestly say that it didn’t bother me or keep me up at all. If anything it was a nice reminder to be grateful that I was chillin’ at Sacred Springs rather than out there on the roads. I am already looking forward to my next visit to the area, and staying again at Sacred Springs.

Our stay with Holly and the animals was planned as a surprise for our three children – and it turned out absolutely perfect! The communication with Holly beforehand was extremely pleasant, and she was very flexible when our arrival plans changed at short notice. The campsite next to the animals was ideal, and we thoroughly enjoyed the ranch tour and the time spent petting and interacting with the animals. They are all so calm, curious, and friendly. From our point of view, the surprise was a complete success, and our kids said it was the best campsite ever!
