The property literally came with a shack on it. He loved shifting for gold with one of the neighbors in the desert up the road. Just 10 miles from lake access (downhill) inside Lake Mead recreational area. Also, about 9 miles from Grand Canyon West access point. The property once had a shack on it, which is now gone - some remnants remain. But, there are flat drive areas in which to park (RV ok) and/or tent camp. Property is a little rough, but the views are gorgeous! From the property you can see Lake Mead, the west wall of the Grand Canyon, and an overlook of the town of Meadview. There are other residents in the area, but are far away, but visible (it is a desert). But, the property is absolutely quiet and peaceful.There is no electric, water, or facilities - so, it is primitive (or self-contained) camping. There is a fire-ring, but you must bring your own wood. There is some limited shopping and restaurants in town (Meadview or Dolan Springs) and on the main road (Pierce Ferry). We plan to build on the property in the future, but wish to share it with others until then. Purchased this land for my father who loved living on his own in stark conditions. The property literally came with a shack on it. He loved shifting for gold with one of the neighbors in the desert up the road. He has since passed and the shack was torn down due to normal wear making it unstable.Me and my wife plan to put a home on it in the future, but felt it would be nice to allow adventurous types to stay on the property for the cheap.Learn more about this land:(Directions at bottom of description)The property is up on a hill surrounded on 2 sides (W/N) by BLM land with an overlook of Lake Mead. Just 10 miles from lake access (downhill) inside Lake Mead recreational area. Also, about 9 miles from Grand Canyon West access point. The property once had a shack on it, which is now gone - some remnants remain. But, there are flat drive areas in which to park (RV ok) and/or tent camp. Property is a little rough, but the views are gorgeous! From the property you can see Lake Mead, the west wall of the Grand Canyon, and an overlook of the town of Meadview. There are other residents in the area, but are far away, but visible (it is a desert). But, the property is absolutely quiet and peaceful.There is no electric, water, or facilities - so, it is primitive (or self-contained) camping. There is a fire-ring, but you must bring your own wood. There is some limited shopping and restaurants in town (Meadview or Dolan Springs) and on the main road (Pierce Ferry). We plan to build on the property in the future, but wish to share it with others until then. Very well kept, amazing views (desert land/plants, sunset, night sky, sunrise, all of it!), beautiful artwork and mini trails, basically more than anyone can ask for at a campsite. My husband, dogs and I enjoyed camping here so much we plan to visit again. It was nice that the whole area was to ourselves, it felt very private and safe. Would definitely recommend!

Was just a blank space in the desert that I intended to use for astronomy. The highway is about a mile or a mile and a half away. There’s one there but you. Gerardo is very helpful if you reach out to him. Good instructions for how to get there, though I suggest reviewing it on Google maps before you go. The most helpful tip he gave was the GPS coordinates so you could find it on the map.

The spot is good for a quick stay over. I definitely recommend the Camp host to leave a burn barrel or something where people can put their trash because some people don’t know how to pack the trash out. We drove in at the dark of night. If you read and follow the provided instructions to the site you shouldn’t have a problem. You do have to trust the process at night as the last few turns you are just out in the middle of a field and the roads are not well established. Can hear the humming of the power plant until late in the night once it goes off.

A beautiful slice of Mojave desert, a short detour off the road to the Grand Canyon Skywalk. From here, you can drop it in 4wd and do some real exploring, 13 miles to Lake Mead via Hualapai Wash Rd or Greg's Hideout Rd. 31 miles to Temple Bar Marina. ~10 miles up to the abandoned Golden Gate gold mine

Located off I-40 ( old Route 66 ) in Holbrook, Arizona. No power, toilet, water, or sewage. You will need to drive ~1 mile or so off road to get to the provided coordinates.Just 49 miles away you have Castle Mountains National Park. You'll need a high-clearance, 4WD vehicle to get into this extremely remote national monument in the eastern Mojave Desert. Accessible only by dirt roads, Castle Mountains is surrounded on three sides by the Mojave National Preserve. It's the northernmost of the desert region's three new national monuments designated by the President in 2016. This park in northeastern San Bernardino County protects 20,920 acres, located between the interstates I−15 and I−40. There are no facilities, developed campgrounds, or established trails within the monument. Backcountry camping is allowed. Castle Peaks is one of the stars here—a cluster of imposing spires that climb skyward. The peaks are composed mainly of volcanic tuff, and the deep erosion of the rocks has created distinct, sharp summits. You're also rewarded for your efforts to get here by lush grasslands, Joshua tree forests, mountain vistas, and abundant wildlife. The rugged Mojave Desert is home to mountain lions, bighorn sheep, golden eagles, coyotes, and bobcats. Castle Mountains National Monument is always open, but the best times to come are spring and fall. March and April are peak times. The spring rains turn the desert into a carpet of vivid, vibrant wildflowers. Summers are very hot, with daytime temps in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

No Roads actually make it to my property, The only way to get there is through the brush following game trails for just under half a mile. You should have downloaded good maps for offline use, and have a GPS that works. The area is a gorgeous valley surrounded by mountains, with big granite boulders everywhere and rarely any people. It is about 5 miles south of the grand canyon western ranch up into the mountains. the road in crosses state lands and ranch lands, game and fish have a sign in sheet at the beginning of iron springs canyon road. Please leave gates as you found them. Once there you can pretty much park and camp anywhere but the last mile of road is serious 4x4.
