We gladly welcome pets, as long as you take care of all their needs, including cleaning up any mess and filling in any holes. Well mannered, friendly dogs may be unleashed from time to time. Please, PLEASE watch your small pets carefully. If you're traveling with cats, please keep them on a lead. There is a riding academy and boarding facility adjacent to our property, and a long pleasant trail allows horseback riders, hikers and cyclists to travel along the Verde Greenway into Old Town Cottonwood, a pleasant 30 minute walk through lush riparian area. Hawks Hideaway is a family owned property, occupied by a 3rd and 4th generation, mother-son team. Two generations have lived and died here before us and we are proud to be the custodians of this majestic property, full of old growth, gigantic cottonwood trees. A birdwatcher, or naturalists dream. Hawks Hideaway is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde River Greenway. This means you may encounter wildlife and pests associated with being in such close connection to nature. Hawks Hideaway is next to many miles of wilderness. You may see or encounter wildlife of all kinds, most are harmless, some are dangerous. It is your responsibility to know the difference. Be prepared to tuck your food away and bring ample protection from the insects. You are responsible for your own safety and are camping here at you own risk. 4 acres of Dark Sky Paradise near the Grand Canyon. Situated 30 mins from the Grand Canyon. Cars, Vans, Class B's and small trailers (like teardrops, pods and popups) - we do not permit ATV's or trailers over 26' Dry camp on our beautiful four acre high desert oasis under the Milky Way. We are just 30 minutes south of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon where you will visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We are one of the few places to dry camp just a few blocks off Hwy 180. It's only a 11 minute drive to Grand Canyon Junction where Hwy 64 intersects with Hwy 180. At Grand Canyon Junction there is a convince store with clean bathrooms and it's loaded with snacks, souvenirs, apparel and even beautiful authentic Native American pottery and turquoise jewelry. Catch a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon from Tusayan, AZ which is only 25 minutes north. Our property is dry camping only and it's pack in and pack out. Please don't leave any trash. There are showers at Love's Travel Stop in Williams, AZ 30 minutes South which gets good reviews. The charming town of Williams, AZ is on Route 66 and there are lots of things to see and do. We look forward to hosting you and it's our hope you will create memories that will last a lifetime. Our property is your primitive high desert paradise. It is on level ground and suitable for tents, all vehicles and RVs. There are no restrooms or utilities on the property. Pets are allowed. Please pick up after them. Please do not leave any trash. There is a campfire ring on property but please check the status of fire restrictions in Coconino County. You will have the entire 4 acre to yourself for your stay. Have the best time. Enjoy! Pitch your tent among the juniper trees. Park your car, truck, and even your small RV as you admire the South Western views of the San Francisco peaks. Quiet at night and quiet in the day- unobstructed sunrise and sunset! Only 1.5 miles from the highway, access with any vehicle, but higher clearance is preferred. 30 minutes to Grand Canyon South Rim, 20 minutes to National Forest and Kaibab Lake. An hour to Flagstaff. *Fire dependent on wind and fire restrictions.

Enjoy campfires, mountain views and nature on this one acre property with easy access less than a mile from Highway 64. This campsite is 3.7 miles from Grand Canyon Junction for food, gas, water, and supplies, and 30 miles to Grand Canyon National Park. There are two sites with fire pits and campfires are allowed but may be restricted during certain times when warm temperatures and high winds are forecasted. Please bring a shovel to clear the fire pit out if there is sand or leftover wood in it. Other things to note: From Highway 64, travel 0.85 miles east on Pine Rd to reach the property. The dirt road has some bumps but is accessible with a 2WD car when the road is dry but 4WD is recommended when there is snow or rain. Also, since you will be traveling on an unmarked dirt road, it is advised to reach the campsite before dark so it easier to locate. There are no toilets or water so campers will need to bring their own accommodations. Pack in and pack out policy applies. Please check if there are any fire restrictions at the time of your visit and always adhere to state and local fire restrictions. The campground was so beautiful. It was very private, had a decent amount of space from other campsites. There was a nice amount of trees/ greenery. The bathroom was clean. Laura was so friendly and very kind. We didn’t have enough time to walk down to the creek but we’re definitely planning on going back and check it out.

I had an amazing time at this campsite! It’s nestled in the woods, surrounded by shady trees, and has plenty of space to set up your tent. I stayed at site 7, which was pretty flat and had soft, easy-to-sink ground for my tent stakes. The sounds from the surrounding area were incredible - I heard a rooster, cows, owls, and a donkey. It felt super secluded, and if you venture into the woods, there’s a pond that’s perfect for taking photos. I made a delicious dinner and enjoyed sitting around the campfire. In the morning, I was greeted by a friendly Hipcamp doggy who hung around for a bit. Overall, it was a lovely place, and the town nearby is close by with restaurants and shops.

Laura was super sweet! There were very clear instructions on how to get in! The bathroom was super clean it had a flushing toilet and running water. She also had farm animals that were so friendly. Her dogs are the absolute cutest and super friendly! The campsite was so nice and very spacious. It had a table and fire pit with logs to sit on! The walk to the creek was super pretty and well maintained! We really enjoyed staying here!

This spot was ideal for a one-night stop on my way to Sedona. All of the animals are very calm and friendly with people, especially the horses. The view of the mountains and stars is really beautiful. Holly and her family are very kind and welcoming, and also allow visitors their own space. I stayed at Sunset camp which is a patch near the gate, good for self-contained car/tent camping. Heard the roosters in the morning! Rustic and cool spot.

We were very comfortable at site 7. There is tons of space set up tents. We were able to fit 4 tents and 1 large EZ up style canopy with plenty of room to spare. The ground is also not super hard and Rocky, it is relatively easy to hammer in and remove tent stakes. There is signage to direct you to your proper campsite. My friend who came in a Kia Spectra was able to get onto the property with no problems. The porta-johns were clean. Fellow campers were quiet and courteous. It was honestly almost like we didn't even have neighbors, which was nice. The camp host's dog Buddy did absolutely make a special appearance in the morning. The dog was super friendly and loving. Overall this was quite a pleasant experience and I would be happy to camp with this host again.

Site #6 i knew was the one for us since it was far from the other sites and you really felt a lot of privacy. Hoping to bring more friends next time!
