This site is easy to access while still boasting incredible views. Plenty of flat area to park you RV and vehicles and still have room to roam. The views of the sun setting over Ragged Top Mountain will surely take your breath away.
Very close to the beautiful Ironwood National Forest, and about 20 minutes to Tucson for local amenities.
Plenty of space but one camper with a 5th wheel of 42' feedback that he had hard time to get in / out. So listing for 38' max total length .
Access is via a dirt desert road.
The road is maintained, but very low‑clearance vehicles are not recommended.

As were his wishes, we have created various rental spaces in which we donate the proceeds to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and several local animal shelters.

The private designated acre offers electrical, water and sewer hookup for a single RV.
This is a beautiful desert getaway convenient located close to the Saguaro National Park, Tucson Mountain Park, Gates Pass, and the Ironwood National Forest.

Great place on a piece of property in the middle of nowhere. There are distant mountains to the east and west and some nice trees and bushes surrounding the site.
There are neighbors 100 yards away but you have plenty of privacy. Beautiful stars and a distant lightning storm the night we were there

We enjoyed several weeks here. The dirt road getting in wasn’t too far from the main road and it was easy to access. It’s a big space with plenty of room to back up our 30’ travel trailer, even with not much experience. Jeff promptly replied to our questions during the end of our stay re: possible trip modifications. Overall, it was a very nice spot and mostly quiet. There was a neighbor that liked loud music every once in a while and some road noise but it was minimal.
The only other thing to note that we missed in the listing is you need to dispose of your garbage and recycling. Also, there are many off leash dogs if you get over a mile down the dirt road from the campsite. There are 4 that chase you that are relatively friendly/excited and there is one extremely aggressive one that will also chase you with its leash still attached (this happened many times so we stopped running/walking around the area).

This place was amazing. It was easy to find and very private. The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular. At night the stars were bright and the owls were hooting. Saw a couple coyotes walking by in the morning.

We really enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle. The only side note is the bushes along the road coming into the site are a bit over grown so it's really tight driving in if you don't want to scratch your vehicle or camper and the road is pretty bumpy but still very worth the seclusion.

I stayed at Site #1 and was immediately impressed by how thoughtfully everything was set up. The space is huge with wide-open views, and the little details—like the soft nighttime lighting—make it feel both beautiful and functional after dark. It’s just bright enough to see without taking away from the calm, peaceful vibe.
Even though I never met the host in person, he was absolutely amazing. We texted back and forth quite a bit, and when I ran into an issue with my 30-amp plug, he walked offered to let me come up to his property to use his own plug adapter. That level of support really meant a lot.
I highly, highly recommend this place. It’s quiet, calming, and incredibly relaxing—exactly what I needed.

We had the most amazing stay at Lionel’s. Beautiful property to spend our little getaway. All hookups worked and there were no issues finding the location. Lionel was kind and accommodating when I made a mistake in our booking. The Mountain Views, the land, and wildlife were very much enjoyed. We look forward to our next trip. Thank you Lionel!!

I had a great stay! Beautiful surroundings and right down the road from the national park. It was fairly quiet and private. The drive coming in was kind of tight because of the plants but it is the outdoors.
I will say that I read the site type wrong and had to back in alone for the first time, but it was great practice, with no audience like at a campground, and I was able to get it done.
Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful here, my camera roll is full of pictures. Plenty of space outside for working out on the property in the morning.
Perfect spot for my first time in Arizona. Can’t wait to go back!

Stayed at Site 1 at Desert Getaway in Avra Valley and loved it. My wife and I, plus our pup, really enjoyed the private, sizeable space. It’s very quiet at night with great stargazing. Location is spot on too - about 35 min to Tucson and 15 min to Saguaro National Park. Hookups were solid and easy to use. We’ll definitely be back!
