The campsites feature flat gravel pads, picnic tables, and fire rings. Our cabins provide direct access to hiking and riding trails. Amenities include a coffee counter, comfortable foam mattresses, electricity, a heater, a Keurig coffee maker, and a hot water kettle. Please bring your own drinking water. A 250-gallon water tank is available for campfire use. Outhouses are located near each cabin and throughout the campground.
There are 23 flat, gravel sites situated directly across Pinochle Trailhead in Glacier View, Alaska. Perfect for hiking, biking, ATV riding, or snowmobiling on historic trails. Tents, trucks, cars, campers, RVs, dogsleds—whatever fits is welcome.
We offer sites with tables and fire rings. Additionally, there's an "Open Camping Area" at the back, suitable for larger groups. While a site may be assigned at booking, simply choose the best available spot that works for you upon arrival. Except for the 4th of July, when the site will be assigned upon your arrival. Please bring your own water and keep your camp tidy. Follow simple and common camping rules.
Pinochle Trail extends north into the backcountry for about 12 miles, connecting with other trails.
Pinochle Trail is part of the historic Knik - Nelchina Trail, used by natives, trappers, miners, and hunters for centuries. It follows the natural route from the Matanuska Valley over the mountain range into Copper River country.
Hicks was one of the early guides who had a cabin at Hicks Creek. Along with U.S. Army Lieutenant Joseph Castner, he helped blaze a trail northwest for Captain Glenn in 1898. Described in his journal as a "Tale of Hardship and Suffering," they ended up eating their mules and shoes before reaching their distant goal to the north. Today, we use these trails with relative ease compared to the early explorers, but the scenery and mud holes still remind us of what they endured.

The beautiful Blueberry Lake campground on Thompson Pass has spectacular 360-degree mountain views. 21 sites are available (1-17 on a paved loop road) near the lake. Vault toilets and a water pump are available for use. Several sites work well as group camping sites. There are no RV hookups or pull-throughs. Pets and generators are allowed. Bring your own firewood.
The McAllister cabin, at the mouth of Shoup Bay Marine State Park, is best accessed by kayak or boat. There is a narrow, tide dependent channel that leads to the inner lagoon where Moraine and Kittiwake cabins are located. Kayaks recommended for access.

Seaside Farm is a 30 acre, magical, park like farm on the shores of Kachemak Bay, just outside of Homer, a few miles down from the Kilcher Homestead where I grew up in the 1940's! . Now a song bird sanctuary, with trails, lawns, gardens, trees, hay fields, and a private beach, cabins, a clover camping meadow, Seaside was once part of an original Alaska pioneer homestead.
It is also the home of hundreds of songbirds, moose, coyotes, wild hares, flocks of sandhill cranes, two sweet Morgan Horses, an assortment of chickens and visitors seeking peace, nature, wildlife, pristine beaches, in a real Alaska, non touristy setting.
This property has three different types accommodations: Rustic, cozy cabins, a big field for tent campers, and a few spaces reserved for 4 wheel drive vans, and small vehicle camping, including rooftop tents
If you prefer camping away from the tourist crowds, you will find our soft clover meadows and well kept lawns, a deluxe and memorable experience. The beach is a short walk down the trail, where its peaceful and private, with only the sound of the seagulls and waves. Van campers have a few special areas to park their vehicles, with views of the glaciers and mountains. There is limited parking and turnaround space, and we like our farm not too crowded, to provide a special rural experience to all who visit. It helps to call or text before you arrive to make sure we are on site and can help you with parking!
There are three cabins sprinkled throughout the property. Two are off grid, close to the beach, private and magical, with wood stoves. All cabins are able to use the main farm lodge amenities, just a few minutes walk away but have their own outhouses, all with amazing views!
You can walk on the beach from the main lodge parking area, there is a covered camping pavilion available to all guests, a communal campfire spot and bbq grill, lovely maintained walking trails and meadows, and even wifi!
We allow most dogs, but ask you to contact us before booking with us, so we can let you know our rules before you travel. All dogs must be well behaved, social, on leashes and at owner's side at all times to protect our trusting wildlife from accidental harm, like our baby pheasants, moose, bunnies, and songbird nests!

A few things that make my place unique:
My 5 acres is part of the famous 620-acre Kilcher Homestead, as seen on “Alaska the Last Frontier” TV show. I am the 7th of the 8 children; Atz and Otto are my brothers. There is a special feeling here vibrating in the land, and why our parents picked this spot. Full outdoor kitchen with all you need to cook and wash up; BBQ, hotplate, pure drinking water, spices, pots/pans/dishes etc. The atmosphere feels so pure, so silent, so wild yet comfortable. Drive-in access sometimes, or have to walk 15 minutes, and no issues with mosquitoes!!! You get to meet me and maybe other family members as you cruise around. Homer is 35 minutes away, with oodles of things to do there: great restaurants, a lap pool, fun shopping, etc. We have quite good cell reception here. Lots of options to enjoy your stay!

We have owned this property since 1996 and have found it to be a special healing place and have now decided to share it with other special people. It is approximately 6 acres on the Chilkat river, with about 1200 feet of river frontage. The Cathedral Peaks are directly across the river from the property, which has southern exposure and each campsite has sunset views. All the salmon species swim up the river. The subject property has nursery streams for the salmon. They do not spawn here, but the fry come from upstream spawning grounds to grow up a bit before heading out to the ocean. Swans nest in a nearby pond and sometimes play in the river out front. Evenings and nights are quite and peaceful

The Bluff Cabin at Clam Gulch is located at Magical Camping! The cabin is 12' x 24' with a great layout.
The cabin includes a kitchen area, a full size murphy bed that looks out over Cook Inlet and Mt Reboubt, and a sweet one burner Jotul wood stove for heat and cooking. The cabin comes with enough firewood for a two-night stay.
Wake up and have French press coffee in bed looking at the eagles fly by, riding the thermals. This is the dream romantic getaway! Hear only the surf crashing, and birds!!
There is a porta potty located between two outbuildings near the cabin.
Please park in front of the Bluff Cabin.
Guests will enjoy the grassy bluff and the built-in fire pit, the gazebo and the granite table for cooking and washing. There is a charcoal barbeque available for guests, bring your own charcoal.
The cabin is dry and non-electric. There is no wifi, but has cellular connectivity. The cabin will be supplied with 8 gallons of potable water, but guests can always bring extra, or refill water at the Kasilof Mercantile just 7 miles away. They also have groceries! The closest gas station is also 7 miles away in Kasilof.
Clam Gulch Beach Access is just 4 miles away, with miles and miles of beach to walk!
Ninilchik is 14 miles down the road where guests can find the Old Ninilchik Beach Access, or the Deep Creek Beach Access, and also the Three Bears Grocery Story and Roscoe's Pizza.

We are a professional sled dog kennel that runs a summer tour operation, as well as hosts overnight guest in clamping rental accommodations. We are located just 30 minutes south of the famed Denali National Park & Preserve, right off the Parks highway in the quaint village of Cantwell. We are in a very accessible location that is perfect for those searching for a stay close to the National Park and other local attractions, but far from the crowded tourist areas near the entrance of Denali.
You will need your own vehicle to access our property and get to any nearby attractions, trails, restaurants etc.
At our property you will have the unique opportunity to stay with a real team of sled dogs and book a discounted tour if you want. Your accommodations are cozy, yet rustic, private and peaceful. We are off a gravel road and a short walk to the Jack River or up to the tundra.
We are off-grid so all of our power is generated by generator or solar, and the tent will have a small solar charger for cell phones & tablets, but no large voltage electronics.
We haul all of our water either from the river, a local spring or the gas station so we ask those staying with us are conscious and willing to limit their consumption of water here.
We are in bear country, so while our sled dogs act as very good bear deterrent, we still ask people to be smart when walking around the area or storing food.
Please be respectful of wildlife and keep a safe distance, make lots of noise when hiking.
There is good AT&T and verizon reception here, but we do not offer wifi connectivity so take the opportunity to read a book and disconnect for a bit.
We live on the property and will be able to help from 8 am to 10 pm, so contact us with questions or concerns.

This is a 10-acre property along the edge of the north bank of the Klutina River--a major king salmon-fishing stream that flows into the famous Copper River just one half mile downriver. That part of the property used for camping along the river is 3 acres.
This is a SEASONAL location: Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend with NEW LOWER prices. At this time only the riverside sites (south side of the river dike that one drives across) are available for camping or RV parking. We have no power or other hook-ups on the riverside except that water is available on site through a series of new DEC-approved pipe and spigets, along with more fire pits and more picnic tables.
Showers are extra @ $5.00 a person; Laundry tokens: $3.00 per washer load or 40 minute dryer load. Bar on site. Food service coming later THIS 2024 season. WIFI is only on the north side of the dike near any of the overnight rooms or the bar.
We recommend no RVs to exceed 28 feet on the river side of the dike. Very private sites and spread out--far more so than other nearby locations.
The public restroom is on the north side of the dike. AND we have several budget rooms available on the north side of the dike as well. In 2026, these start at $125/night. These all have Dish Net, WIFI, and coffee in the rooms. The bunkhouse, which can handle up to a dozen people, starts at $300/night for 4 persons.
This property is undergoing development. We are adding more picnic tables, burn sites, and water connections for safe camping.
Just to the east, across the Copper River, is the 12 million acre Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Our property is conveniently located in driving time almost exactly halfway between Anchorage and McCarthy-Kennecott. It is about 3 1/2 hours in either direction.
At the Klutina you can charter a sight-seeing river boat or you can white-water raft from a point several miles up a historic trail that follows the river to its source--Klutina Lake and Klutina Glacier. You can obtain a visitors' license and fish here for salmon. You can also hike along the dike or numerous trails in the area.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place. The host was incredibly generous with his time and great company, but also very respectful of your space. You can keep to yourself or engage as much as you like. We ended up sharing a wonderful dinner together, which was a highlight of the stay. This is the kind of place you come to slow down, think, and enjoy the beauty around you. I’d definitely come back.

We stayed here over the weekend and I was surprised to see how much this place has been improved and fixed up compared to my previous stay in 2024. We had a fantastic view of the glacier from our site and we loved being able to show up early and pick the right spot that suited our group best. We picked wild blueberries on the nearby trail and had a great time. We had a nice chat with the new owner and thanked her for all her hard work she has put into this campground. Thank you for making a special place for others to enjoy!

We had a wonderful time at the campground. The individual sites are nicely separated from one another, and the sanitary facilities were in immaculate condition.
We were lucky enough to get a fantastic campsite with an unobstructed view of the valley and the Matanuska Glacier.
We stayed for three nights as a group of five with two RVs, and we would happily come back anytime.

Cozy cabin overlooking the glacier, with a comfortable public space for cooking and showers. The provided carts were super helpful to move our luggage, and Mossy is a true Alaskan character. Highly recommended if you’re coming to Homer.
